Yeah, agreed (which is why I said maybe when I replied. I should have put a disclaimer in there with it, sorry =\). Though don't some medications come with papers or it's on the bottle saying what you shouldn't eat/take with the meds? The only thing I've ever taken are prescribed antibiotics so I don't have a ton of knowledge on prescribed meds. I've heard of Abilify, it sounds awful. The side affects sound WAY worse than what they're treating you for =\ and like all prescribed medications, there's always the potential of something interacting with what's in your system. I'm pretty sure when my grandpa was alive, he couldn't drink orange juice or eat grapefruits with one of the meds he was taking because of all the vitamin C in it. Though I've never really heard of a medical counselor before. What exactly do they do?

Grapefruit juice and citrus in general shouldn't be taken with prescription meds because it reduces the efficacy of the drug. Which means that it doesn't work as well as it could (or should). It's like drinking alcohol with meds, but alcohol INCREASES the effect of the drug (illicit or legal) in the body's system.

Yes, meds do come with various warnings. But with drugs like Abilify the half life (the time it takes to leave your system) is longer then say a decongestant. The type of drug Abilify is is meant to build up in the system so it can constantly work. It's like stacking books over a certain amount of time.

Lav, I'm going to scold you a bit. You shouldn't have stopped cold turkey, love! That was VERY, VERY dangerous! The withdrawal you're going through sounds moderate to severe, and I'm sorry to say, you're going to have a few days of your current symptoms.

Here's your homework: write true things (like God's love, how precious you are, how you're not alone, etc) on pieces of paper and hang them up around the house and where you hang out most in the house. Carry some with you, and when you start to feel fear, sadness, paranoia, or anything like that, pull out those papers and read them. Or write out your favorite scriptures. It will help calm you down, it will provide Godly peace, it will remind you how precious you are. Friday isn't far away. You can absolutely survive this! :)

And Lil, I'm sorry my reply was so abrupt and harsh. At that moment all I could think of was her going into shock, having a seizure, etc. I knew the consequences of mixing supplements with prescriptions, and I was afraid for lav. Please forgive me. :)

So. Now i have Phlebitis in my right arm. My left arm still isn't recovered. The left one doesn't hurt anymore, though it's still there. But the right arm often hurts to do normal tasks. Even simple ones like using the mouse or laptop. I have no idea how they're going to draw blood tomorrow. And it's more than a month to see the specialist again. Bleh.
Ugly, I will be praying for you.

At what age does the maturity waiver expire? ;)

Maturity does not come with age but with acceptance of responsibility. Responsibility is the ability to respond to problems.

And also from learning from your mistakes, because if you dont, you will tend to repeat them.

You are only young once, but you can be immature indefinitely...

yeah, i will say this: i've met some amazing, godly, kind and loving people on cc. people who have become dear friends.

and i've also met 264354325 flavors of crazy, and even crazy in the extreme. also the impudent, the miserable, the self-absorbed, the deceitful, the artlessly aggressive (and angry), and the flat-out lecherous.

but, the much of the good i've seen has been very good, and the amazing folks far outweigh the negatives of the unpleasant.

Good people give you hapiness, bad people give you experience, worst people give you lesson but the best people give you memories.

I will go and always hope for the best...

Bibles attacking whom?
Somebody started a thread inviting people to attack the NIV. But people started attacking KJV-only-ism. I went through a few posts and it is completely messed up. I think that thread is hijacked by some supernatural forces. Or cats. I don't know. Just don't go in there. Don't.

amen DuchessAimee.

i made the decision because my medical counsel didn't take me seriously when i said i wanted to get off of it, so i pulled a rebel move.

i'm just past month two now, from the day that i stopped. the first two weeks were fine and i actually felt better, then things started going downhill. i was expecting it and got through a lot, but i'm getting tired.

it honestly goes in waves. many days i'll be really ill for days and then i'll get a reprieve of an evening or several days. it's been scary like i knew it would be. i'm going to make it through, though. i believe God can heal me and i know people need medications sometimes but my quality of life was really poor and i honestly believe God is going to heal me.

i should have told her i was going to go of with or without help, and i'm sure she would have listened at that point.

thank you for being there.

1.) The cat pooped on my bedroom floor instead of her potty box.
2.) Then the cat threw up on my bedroom floor.
3.) Then my toilet got clogged up and almost overflowed into the potty box, which is beside the toilet.

WHAT ELSE COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG TODAY?!!!! **pulls hair out in frustration**
I was just on facebook telling Tintin what a frustrating day I've had. But after reading this, I have had it served to me and am now really grateful that my day did not turn out like yours. My sympathies.

Thank you, Lord, for getting my car to a gas station before I ran out of gas, and not allowing me to be stranded on the side of the freeway at night :)

They're expecting a hurricane in Hawaii, praying it's not detrimental to them.

Where I live we have four seasons, we tend to get a lot of snow in the winter and it can get brutally cold. However I will take that over Hurricanes any day.

I lived in Maine for 8 years and there was plenty of snow and extreme cold. I found that I missed the hurricanes of Florida very much. Nor'easters are kind of fun though but then it is time to shovel the snow. I would much rather prefer cutting the grass and that is a task that I never look forward to.
