There are times and seasons with God. There are reasons for what God does and does not do. We are a body.. we all need one another. sometimes we are just there to bless people with the love and comfort of God and we think God wants it to be more. We have to trust God that no matter what He is in control.. Sometimes we get so focused on the details we don't see Gods big picture.

No love is wasted, no prayer is wasted and the Holy spirit will lead us to all truths if we let him. God has called us to love.. to love Him with all our heart and to love each other as ourselves.

In loving God more .. we have to trust in His plan for our lives and in loving others as we ourselves would want to be loved.. that involves honouring their choices. God will never leave us heart broken. He will bind up the broken hearted and lead us beside those still waters.. where He alone will restore our souls.

To love is the greatest gift we can give.. and the greatest gift we can receive... but it is worth nothing unless we first love God.

Bless you in the mighty name of Jesus.
Good write up babe
You know, we are broken without God in our lives.
God is love. So how can we love if aren't honest with God.
If we aren't honest with Him we aren't honest to ourselves.

I'm just responding to the thread title, because I can think of a lot of things that are worse than unrequited love.

Undergoing an autopsy while actually still alive.
Being buried in a coffin while actually still alive.
Watching a family member or members in pain or dying.
Being vegan.
Living on a desert island with only a volleyball to whom you can talk.
Being handed a weapon and being told I had to murder someone.
Having to drive a car with a CVT for the rest of my life.
Country music.

Yeah, I'd take unrequited love over country music. In fact, I think I have, a few times.

Lol! Are you watching too much morbid and violent movies?

I dont think so, jazz is worse than country music.

Very comforting words. Indeed we should love God above all things. As the scriptures says, love God with all your hearts, with all your soul and with all your strength for this is what we were created for, and everything will follow. He is good and great and always in control of the steering wheel. We may make our plans but He leads our path, all we need to do is trust Him.

If someone doesn't love me.... I would know... which in return I should do something about it and leave.

If I don't love someone then I should also leave.

You tell me who is the wrong one?

You're both living a lie.

i know right, its so sad. There's no easy way to break somebody's heart.

Our plan is set out before we were even conceived.

We just have to ride out the wave...

The feelings and emotions we go through always lead to a big ending.

We will all have a story to tell, and it certainly is an amazing journey.

When we fail in love.... it leads to something bigger an better as our knowledge grows.

We become wiser which leads us to having better opportunities.
Well.......most of us. (Hopefully)

Most of us feel pain but it is only a mere moment of time...... and then it passes.
We can then look back and learn that it was no biggie.

I believe God new we are stronger than we think we are.....
We need to start believing it also..

Its true...its a process we need to undergo in this journey called life. God has more faith in us than we have in ourselves. Pain is temporary just like all other human emotions. Time wounds all heals...i mean time heals all wounds but is that statement really true? I think its God who heals not time.

I can relate to everything that you have said. You must have love in your heart from God to share.

everyone one of us knows people who can carry wounds and being unforgiving to the grave. Time does nothing. People can be stuck in wounds for years and years. Only God can set us free from the wounds of the flesh and from the trap of the enemy. You know hurting people hurt others. They probably never mean to hurt but they do. When we understand that every single one of us has things that The Lord is dealing with.. Creating us into that earthen vessel that His Holy Spirit works on and thru, do we understand that it is easy to forgive those who have hurt us. All of us fall far short of Gods glory.. That's why we need to stay in constant fellowship with the spirit to bring us into wisdom of God by renewing our minds with the washing of Gods word.

bless you

Thank you...

I can see that the Holy Spirit has made you a wise christian and have given you inner peace. This Godly wisdom is meant to be treasured and to be cherished by heart. In God' point of view, there is really nothing to forgive because His children, being blinded by sin, dont know what they are doing. We are literally hallucinating. The goal is to achieve how to forgive like God because to err is human and to forgive is divine.

God bless you too...

May I ask you this question? Which is worse? Loving someone who doesnt love you or being loved by someone you dont love? Which is the lesser evil?
Both of it. If its love coming from God then its not supposed to be evil.

Time does not heal. Unless one is truly healed by God, the wounds will still remain in a forgotten corner of the mind. Any resemblance to the situation or the person who caused the wound, can make it reopen again. Also, wounds that are locked away in the corner of one's mind can manifest themselves through behavioural changes. Hence, one's wounds ought to be healed by God as without Him there is no other healing.

You are right. Healing comes from God through the Holy Spirit. It is important to be filled by the Spirit of God and thereafter to be led by Him, for one's wounds to be completely healed.

You know I want to add that I have been in touch with that man again. I now know that it was God who put love on my heart for him and that I was meant to show him that love. But there comes a point where it becomes about the person then be tested and if they continue to treat you a certain way, God will move the person assigned to love them. God also does not continue to have His children abused. I've seen this numerous times with this man, how much God loves him, but he pushes people and God away. It's sad. But, I have to say I've been released from it and that is a relief. whhhheeewwww.

I'm think God put love in our hearts to show that some people maybe just don't deserve our love. (Romantically in this case, not biblically). To learn to guard our hearts, and to appreciate those who love us back truly.

The worst part about love is wheb it is unrequited, I have had my heart broken by 2 girls who didn't love me and it hurts a lot when you have to say goodbye to them, especially when you still have feelings for them.
