SeaBass you are constantly taking our words out of context and honestly it's getting me mad. We have NEVER said don't do good works. We are saying you are NOT justified by your works.

Ok then SeaBass why don't you tell us what Paul means by Eph 2:9 "not by works so no one can boast"

As already posted, "not of works" in Eph 2:9 refers to works of merit.


now, Can a one be saved WITHOUT ever doing good works?

We are saved by the blood of Christ by our faith given us by God. Our good works are a result of out faith showing our faith in God. We are not saved by them.

An example would be a bed ridden person who cannot do anything but has faith in God. How would they do good works? If they cannot do any good works would that mean they aren't saved?

Can one be saved WITHOUT ever doing obedient works in obeying God's will?

In other words, can one be saved WITHOUT EVER doing any works at all?

Yes I do because not everyone has the capacity to do good works. Look at my example in my previous post.

One is either doing good works or evil works.
One is either doing righteousness or unrighteousness.
One is either obeying God or disobeying God.

So one who always does evil, unrighteousness and disobedient to God all their life can be saved?


If one is bed-ridden that excuses everyone else who is not bed-ridden from doing good works too?

You just don't get it and you never will because you are so bent on saving yourself. If we could in any way save ourselves why did Jesus have to die!

I have given you scripture and you have talked you way into justification by works in every one. If you aren't going to listen to God's Word you sure the heck ain't gonna listen to anyone's reason seabass.
