The reason I had to put him on ignore was because of what "yelled" earlier. I got tired of him adding word to my posts that I never said. I got tired of him ignoring certain posts and I got tired of him taking my God's words out of context. Plain and simple he got me to the point where I was pissed off royally. Not really that easy to do with me.
Royally, huh. . .wow!

Well yeah when someone keeps putting words in my mouth over and over and over. Yeah that takes me over the edge..especially when I tell them over and over and over to stop.

Yeah I know me too..it is one thing to misunderstand something and or maybe misquote because of not being privy to the complete conversation which we have all done in our lives sometime, but to continually twist what one states and or add words continually fires me up as well and when I get fired up too much the Marine wants to come out and play.....I have to really watch what I say because sometimes I want to rake them over the coals, light them up and tell them exactly what I am thinking...........!

Now if I am on a forum and I come back after a bit I read all of the posts from where I left off and try to catch up. That way I can try to stay on topic and know where the conversation is going. It's really not that hard to do.

I;ve been glazing through the thread and I happen to like Campbell soup. But any way's I think that most of you are own target not that I am the authority. I am just a servant as y'all are. But I am known as the Cross preacher and sometimes I get cross and that is a fault of mine and we are working on it, praise God.

Salvation by no means is earned, it is a free gift. The Holy Spirit cannot be earned He is a a free gift. Righteousness cannot be earned it is a free gift. by faith

With that said, it is not a license to sin. by accepting these free gifts a change happens in our hearts. We are no longer the person we used to be. In fact our will is being transformed inti His will and then what we ask He will give because it is His will in the first place.

There are no contradiction of words in the bible. The contradiction comes from man that tries to justify his sin by using scripture rather than taking it to the cross and admitting he is wrong.

No doubt...we stand on the biblical principles found within the scripture....look...I am a nice guy and try to get along with everybody for sure but there are a few things that will hit the ole proverbial button if you will....

1. Seeing a brother or sister in Christ getting assaulted with verbiage and or physically
2. Seeing a Jewish person getting assaulted with verbiage and or physically
3. Seeing a helpless old lady and or child being assaulted or abused
4. Seeing someone I love being assaulted and or abused with verbiage or physically
5. Seeing a child, woman being assaulted sexually and or raped or murdered

Any of the above and I am going to step in and do what ever is necessary to appease the situation for sure....

Having said that...back to the OP....When someone twists the word, rejects the truth, speaks lies and or usurps the word in favor of heresy I will have to open my mouth and set it straight for sure......!

I totally agree with this for sure....you know...no one I know who believes in grace dia faith salvation void of works or water teaches that you can live anyway you want and or teaches that you do not have to follow the word of God in order to produce fruit.....It seems that workers for salvation like to claim that we can do what we want after salvation, and we do not teach that nor believe that for sure...We have been saved so we can serve in NEWNESS of life and we understand (fitting out) the salvation that has been so graciously given to us based upon the faith of Jesus and by the simple act of belief into the completed work of Jesus which has satisfied the will of the Heavenly Father!

Now the next 3 verses or group of verses (I added verses for clarification and context) do not deal with justification in any way period.

Justification-"A reckoning or counting as righteous" (Westminster Dictionary of Theological terms)

Matthew 16:27, Revelations 20:12 (13) and 2 Corinthians 5:10 (9-11) all deal with some type of reward we will receive when we come before Jesus. I guess somehow we will be judged and rewarded by the "good works" we have done in this life. Now I will state plainly "I have no idea what these rewards might be".

Now what these verses do describe should wake up any "sleeping" Christian. Since God tells us there is some type of reward in the end it really should kind of encourage us to do "good works".

But again in these verses they do not describe justification by works. And they do not condemn any Christian who doesn't or cannot do any "good works".

Sorry I am late responding. I haven't forgotten. I will get this done if not today, tomorrow for sure.
First, I would like to set the record straight on a couple of items that I have been accused of that are blatantly wrong.

I do do not believe in a works based salvation. It is a FAITH BASED salvation with works an important part.

Second, I Believe we are saved by the blood of Christ. There is no power in the water.

Matt. 16:27 does appear to,be talking about some type of rewards, although we are not told anything about them.

Actually, the second verse should be Rev. 2:10, not Rev. 20:12. Rev 2:10 talks about all the trials and tribulations a disciple must endure to remain faithful. Much of the language appears to be referring to,the destruction of the temple.

Finally, ÏI Cor. 5:10, he talks about Appearing before the judgment seat of Christ, mentions "bad" works, and also "the terror of the Lord. I think this involves a lot more than rewards.
