I think I'm turning into a green snot factory. Anyone in need of some?

(This is so not a good time to be sick, but I'm not sure there's ever a good time to be sick)
praying you feel better soon :)

cinder: It is a good time to be sick right at the start of a three day weekend when you didn't have anything planned anyway. If you gotta be sick, then is the best time to get it out of the way.

Didn't go to church this morning (I'm getting better, but still wasn't quite feelin' it today.) so I got some extra needed sleep. I did go to youth group, however, and felt great there.

I feel bad, I was quite grumpy towards people this afternoon. =\ Though I'm in a much better mood now, so I guess that's good.

I think I'm gonna try to stay at my grandparents' house this week for a day or two so I can take a break from the norm and...people. I'll have to check with my dad, and my grandparents, of course. But it'll be good.

It's settled. I'm gonna get a new keyboard for my laptop. 3.5 years without any software issues really so I think buying a new keyboard is safe. It'll be getting installed around Thanksgiving though. Why do computers have to be so darned EXPENSIVE D:
Depending on the make and model of your laptop you could probably save a bunch by changing it out yourself. When I was having keyboard problems a while back (individual keys were dropping like flies) I bought a replacement online and did the swap myself. My Acer keyboard just pries out and the new one snaps in. If you dig around online I'm sure you can find a video showing step by step for just about any laptop.

Or gimme the exact model number and I can scare it up. One of my strong points seems to be creative googling. I can google up a how-to for almost anything.

Actually I wouldn't think that is a strong point - anyone can use google - but I have observed some people can't google up something to save their lives. So I'm gonna call it a strong point.

From the book of Lynx, chapter 3, verse 7:
Verily, verily, I say unto thee, blessed are they who stay after church dinners and help clean up... for they shall reap leftovers! :D :D

Like half of a homemade carrot cake and half of a strawberry cream pie. Said pie is no longer (burp) with us, but the cake is still here.

It honestly kind of disturbs me how eternity is a topic that ordinary people don't really think about very often.
Every sing person we walk by on the street everyday, or drive by when we are in a car, or the person in front of us while we are in line....none of us are exempt from one of two options: heaven or hell.

And how many people everyday are not able to give that commitment to the Lord Almighty?
Very few have made that commitment.
It makes my stomach sick. Not a feeling of sickness brought on by judgment, but the factor that people don't want anything to do with him. I don't like the idea that people are willingly rejecting God and choosing hell... even some of my loved ones.

OK went to church regardless of my sleepiness this afternoon and saying that I wouldn't.

Found out one my favorite soap/candle essential oil companies has brought back my favorite scent linen spray and body lotion. Not available in stores in Canada anymore tho :( If I were to buy it, shipping itself is $20, plus the exchange for cost of the product. I am seriously considering buying it just as a gift to myself, because I love and miss it so much. But like come on US, it was cheaper to ship my shirt from the UK -.-

Well. I may explain more later, but my living situation is about to end and I will have to move somewhere else in a few months. Not a different town, just a different living place.

I am so. tired. of. moving.

This will be my 4th time in 2 years. You'd think I'd have less stuff, but no. And yet, there is a lot that I don't have. I don't have a bed, a kitchen table or chairs, dressers, washer and dryer, things like that. So I will have to buy those things. From thrift stores and internet ads to save money.

I remember taking those "stress tests" in high school and college, asking about events that have happened recently in your life. Moving was one of the top 3 stresses, I think.

Since May 2012, these are big events that have happened in my life: Graduated college, moved 1000 miles from home, started new job, new job is very stressful, sister gets married later in the summer and I am in the wedding, get fired from job, move 900 miles to live with parents, after 25 job applications I find a part-time job, year later get full-time, 6 months later move 450 miles, get new job, a few months later move again.

Those are just the big events. Not even counting smaller ones. Sometimes I legitimately think I'm going to implode or snap. But for now I will just lay in a ball on the floor and cry and then get up and grit my teeth and keep at it.

Yeah...or the ones that did love Him and now want nothing to do with Him. =\

Rachel,

I am so sorry! I have moved twice across the country in under 2 years--I relate well to the things you've written... Please feel free to PM me if you need a sympathetic ear.

I will certainly keep you in my prayers. Starting one's life over is a very hard thing to do, especially so many times in such a short time.

HUGS to you, Rachel!

This might sound controversial, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

When I saw my doctor on Friday, one of the things he told me to do is eat more sea salt (not the bleached table salt variety. GOOD stuff, like Celtic sea salt. That stuff is awesome. It's all I use)... I know why now. >.< I was just simply doing dishes when I started to feel nauseated. I put some celtic sea salt in one of those empty capsules that you fill up, and let me tell you it is amazing the difference it's made. Nausea is GONE.

"Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many people know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom."#IhadToRereadItToo

Rachel, I'm so sorry to hear about what you're going through. Moving 4 times in 2 years is not easy and I understand the stress it has taken on you. I moved thrice within a year and it took a toll out of me. I was literally living out of a suitcase during that phase and I had nowhere to call 'home'. I know how you feel and I will pray for you right now.

Lord Jesus, I pray for Rachel who is going through a tough phase right now. You know how stressful it is for her to move 4 times in 2 years. She has nowhere to call home and she is upset about it. Please let her feel your embrace at this very moment, Lord. Wherever she may be, whatever she is going through, let her find her 'home' within your loving arms and in your loving presence, Father. Be a Father to her and help her with the packing and the moving. Help her to organize her things neatly and send her the help that she needs. Be the Elshaddai that she needs right now. Even if she is alone, let her not feel lonely. Above all, encourage her about the beautiful home that you are preparing for her in our Heavenly home. Fill her mind with thoughts of love, happiness and peace. All this I ask in Jesus' name. Amen.

I hope you feel better. No matter what, drop in to CC Singles often because we will be praying for you. At least PM a member and let us know how you are doing. Please hang in there sister. :)

I'm moving back to Altus/in with my parents at the end of the week! Moving buddies! XD

Where my fellow night owls at?!?!
"Most folks like the daytime
Cause they like to see the shining sun
They're up in the morning, off and a-running
Too tired for having fun
But when the sun goes down and the bright lights shine
My daytime has just begun"
