absolutely :)

People say that their votes don't count; but if you DON'T vote, EVERYONE else's vote counts more than yours. :)

The problem with the poll is that many, like myself, already voted before today. We have a system of early voting. For a week or two before the official voting day, you can go and early vote. I voted last week. I mostly voted Republican, as the lesser of the 2 evils. But for many judge positions & for my Representative to the House of Reps, there was no Republican running at all. For House of Representatives, my representative is a Democrat, and my district is a "safe democrat precinct." A libertarian party candidate ran, and an independent candidate ran. I voted for the independent, though the main issue he seems concerned about was Ebola!

I was flabbergasted to see that something like 20 judge positions had no one running but a democrat. O I just unvoted for them.

It looks like the Republicans will end the day "controlling" both legislative houses of Congress. It is a phenomena of American politics that if a president wins a 2nd 4 year term, after 2 years the Congressional vote will go against him. This happened to Ronald Reagan & I think to Bush II. I guess after 6 years the people figure out that the president is not the messiah and give him a congressional opposition.

I handed in my ballot last week. Personally I wish a viable third party would rise up since neither major party (at the national level) truly represent my values anymore. At times I find myself voting for candidates that I really don't like a whole lot just because the alternative is even more distasteful.

I voted for some incumbents, and some challengers. Some men, and some women. I voted for some of each major party, because there's strays on both sides. Most importantly, I voted my conscience.

Could you not have early-voted or done absentee ballot?

yes I did, it was a top priority! I went for so many elections in life without voting, but I have the last three. Guess my sense of urgency has risen.

I am satisfied that you directed this thread to 'US people'. And not assuming that everyone on CC are Americans like many other threads before us. *tips hat* I'll leave you guys to it and exit now.

I would have voted for the Raving Monster Looney Party but you don't have much choice in the US!

Voted last week by mail in ballot.....voted for candidates did not matter party affiliation.
A Republican and a Democrat shared the ballot and compromised as tourist is the new kid in town and would have had to drive four hours+ round trip to vote....Who said Reps and Dems can't get along and compromise?
