They don't deny it. Actually they affirm it in the Eucharist. They truly believe they are with Christ, that they partake with Him.
So, they are in Heaven when they partake.

What is more important to a christian: being with Jesus Christ (in present tense) or wanting a heavenly future?
There is no discussing anything with you. You refuse to read the passage, so your blinded by your hate and self centerdness. It is all about you.

You deny the promises Jesus made in John six, thus you deny God, Its bad enough you deny the promises to a nation of people. But to deny the promises of God to ALL WHO EAT. That will get you an eternity where you do not want it.

As EG pointed out, Peter understood. Just a shame so many people here don't.

John 6:35 "And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."

Answer me this, sunshine, if Christ meant literally, why do you catholics keep going back to gnaw on His flesh even more? He clearly states that you will never hunger, yet somehow you people aren't sated. You have to keep going back and eating Him over and over. I have His word and I am sated. It is all I need and I crave nothing more. Which one of us is closer to scriptural truth?

not to mention everything else he promised

37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

47 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.

48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”

54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.”

The catholic mass offers non of these promises to ANYONE who eats it.

Perhaps you should read more of His word and go back to His word and "eat" His word everyday, not only once in a life-time.

That, of course, if you love Jesus Christ and want to be with Him.
if you do not have eternal life, You can eat all you want, your still dead.

There is a difference between eating the food which gives life, and endures forever (flesh and blood) and eating the milk and meat of the word.

The flesh and blood gives us eternal life. the milk and meat helps us grow.

But this is a foriegn concept to you evidently. Your still stuck in paganism.

And I can bite into a york peppermint patty and get the sensation of a cool breeze blowing through my hair but that won't bring me closer to Christ, even if I pretend I'm eating it in heaven.

So to try to get back on topic of whether the "communion" stuff is biblical or not. If these verses here are the basis for the "communion" then it would seem biblical to me.

Luke 22:19-20

[SUP]19 [/SUP]And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

Taking the lords supper is biblical. It is the NT version of the passover meal. Only instead of looking back to egypt. we look back to the cross.

What, exactly, do your eyes see when you read these posts? Not one single point has been driven home to you, yet we have quoted half the new testament to you. Unbelievable......

Jesus quoted over half the OT to the pharisees, they could not get it either.

for some reason a legalist can not understand grace, and the word of God.

If they are doing it because Jesus said "this do in remembrance of me"; then how is that paganism?
Because they are calling it the flesh and blood of John 6. when it is not. And they are calling it the literal flesh and blood of jesus.

I am eating a grand dinner, breaking bread, and drinking the cup. In remembrance of Christ.

they are doing it to have sin forgiven.

Taken from catholic.com.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is the third of the Sacraments of Initiation. Even though we are required to receive Communion at least once per year (our Easter Duty), and the Church urges us to receive Communion frequently (even daily, if possible), it is called a sacrament of initiation because, like Baptism and Confirmation, it brings us into the fullness of our life in Christ.

In Holy Communion, we are eating the True Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, without which "you shall not have life in you" (John 6:53).

They ignore everything else Jesus said about what people will get when they eat that"bread of life" thus they are mocking God.

1. What does that have to do with this topic?

2. You believe satan to be powerless? You have a tough road ahead of you. .......2 Thessalonians 8-10 "And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."

3. There is NO scripture to back it up. If you don't understand clear scripture you shouldn't voicing an opinion of something you are ignorant of. See the original post.

4. Wrong! As I pointed out in the first post, scripture absolutely denies such a practice. Christians obey the word of God, so one that practices it is no christian.

5. Heresay without proof. You have a credible source for that?

6. Another lie. By denying it one is holding firm to the truth, which is exactly what God requires of those that believe.

People, like you, that aren't knowledgeable in the word need to keep quiet. Put your nose in the bible and study His truth. That is how you obey God and go to heaven. You have spouted nothing but a bunch of nonsensical tripe.

I have read the New Testament over 20 times and have an Ivy League education and I said the possibility
