Im amazed at all the products and advertisements for products that increase a mans sexual drive? Everytime I see one, I think to myself dont we have enough dirty old men walk around? I think those of us who are single men and trying to live pure lives before the Lord, and know the joy of being clean, wonder if the whole world has gone crazy? Just and odd thought that comes to me from time to time...thought this might be a good place to express it?

Thank you sister...I don't want to try to appear as one who don't understand the battle we have as men...but understanding the battle we have makes me see these types of products as very odd and a little funny that they are presented into our culture as a positive thing...when every body knows one of the biggest problems we have as a society is that men are unable to control themselves in this area...maybe they need to make a product to lower the sex drive of men and demand those charged with sexual crimes be made to take them?

They already do make such a product.......by far most anti-depressants seriously reduce the libido. Taking these types of drugs won't really affect the sex crime issue since by far most sex crimes are rooted in the need for power and control, not sex.

That seems to go against common sense to me? Im sure some of these guys are just monsters but a lower sex drive would not hurt some of the guys I know...the last thing the society needs is more guys running around with these crazy pills they are selling to everyone... My opinion :)

It really is annoying.I noticed it more when I began dating.Sitting with your beau and a half naked minx has a hamburger in her hand and shes devoting it like a lion on a zebra carcass.We all know all she eats in real life are heads of lettuce leaving rabbits everywhere wondering where all the food went.I dont look like her,heck she doesnt look like her!! And so women feel the same about those ads.
Then there is the one we all know about the hair shampoo with "essences" For a while they were running very sexy commercials about the lady being overly satisfied while using her shampoo with gorgeous men showing up to help her.I said to my sister "dang I must be using that stuff the wrong way! All my shampoo does is clean my hair!!"

Now my favorite to gripe about and I'll just come out and say it,Kmart.Who are they selling to now days?! No wonder they can barely stay in business.Last year it was a group of hunky male models jingling er things.How I hated that commercial!! And this year its the pregnant stripper women tossing their hair around and dancing.Ive never been pregnant but my sis has and I dont recall her dancing around with pouty lips. I remember her needing help to get up out of a chair! Come on K-mart who are you trying to target with your ads? Ghetto strippers that cant afford to go shop Hustler? Certainly not families with children!! So ya you touched a nerve.Sell the product.Your triple burger,body spray,joe boxer pjs dont get me all hot and bothered.If I were using food in sex a triple burger dripping with hot grease,mayo,and tomatoes wouldnt be the way I'd go.But hey thats just me.

What about Axe body spray? Someone actually sued the company that makes Axe stuff, because in the commercials a guy uses it and women flock to him, but in real life the plaintiff used it and women didn't come running. False advertising y'know.

I never knew about those K-Mart commercials but... >.< Now I see what I missed out on by never being bored enough to watch TV, and I see I'm not missing much.

Oh no you're not missing much! I watch mainly news sometimes the UP family channel just not anything on worth watching.Axe story cracks me up though!Seriously!! I dont know how those commercials get past the tv cops.One in particular I couldnt describe on here it was so obvious what they were going for.If a product I buy starts that type of ad I drop them and go with someone else.If your product is so awful you need sex to sell it you just told me all I need to know about it.

LOL ... That's funny but I think I was trying to look at it from a viewpoint of godliness and whats good for our society.... I really don't think we need more gamers or chemically enhanced perverts walking around.

With technology making pornography accessible 24x7 in this day & age, it has sabotaged many men's ability to perform. The drug corporations are making billions off of men who's drive has diminished due to porn. And of course, the sex industry is making an unbelievable profit as well. It's all about the "almighty dollar", folks and the pharmacy industry, the medical industry, the sex industry and the media are all profiting from hijacking the strength of our men.

Proverbs 31 is the solution. Praise God!! \:D/

Those ads annoy the heck out of me. It's really embarrassing when I'm sitting with my 81 year old step.father and the tv blares out a commercial about erectile dysfunction.

Okay, so what about the married man who is having problems with sexual function? Are these products "evil" still? It just seems there are a lot of generalizations being made about this stuff.

I by no means have a problem with birth control pills, but the same argument can be made about the use of them giving women the opportunity to be more sexually active as well.

I am just saying there are perfectly normal reasons for a christian to use some of these products. Lets not go throwing the baby out with the bath water.
