What we are not governed by the entire word of God all of the pages in the book? Since when is God's word not important or a portion of it? I thought the Bible - the entire word of God that not one jot or tittle would change until all things were finished and Jesus hasn't come back yet so I don't think all things are finished as of yet. I don't know why I bother typing this as no one will read or take it to heart.... Oh well God knows I tried.... I sing too with or without instruments in or out of church.....It is all in praise to God who accepts it when there is love in my heart going out to Him.....sigh.....
The old law was taken out of the way, nailed to the cross:

Colossians 2:14 (NKJV)
14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

We have now a "new High Priest", and with the change of the Priesthood, was of necessity a change of the law :

Hebrews 7:12 (NKJV)
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.

You cannot use both

The book of Psalm's is not the mosaic law that was blotted out.
That was the only part of the old testament that was blotted out, was the hand written ordinances of the mosaic laws.
Because the law could not do what Christ was sent here to do, give us remission from our sins by one perfect sacrifice.

My understanding is that the Psalms are songs/poetry/praise to God not the law even though they do refer to the law a lot in praise and song/poetry etc.... So tell me just when we nailed the songs/poetry/praise to God on the cross? I doubt there was too much singing the day Jesus died, but I bet they let loose up in heaven with everything they had on Resurrection Day instruments and all ---- there have to at least be harps there can I get witness or an AMEN at least?

One of the most worshipful meetings that I have listened to was an elderly old man playing the bag pipes. Not a single word was uttered during the entire message, but every single person in the congregation left knowing that God had spoken to his heart. If your God was not pleased with that service, maybe it's time to check him and leave him at the door.

Hebrews 1:1-2 (KJV) [SUP]1 [/SUP] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [SUP]2 [/SUP] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

"Prophets" that includes David...

Now show me where Christ said we can have mechanical musical instruments

can anyone show where the Word says whatever is not specifically authorized is sin?

Unto the pure all things are pure:
but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure;
but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

(Titus 1:15)

That does not mean that the Psalm's was done away with.
As a matter of fact Jesus referred back to what the prophets said, and so did Paul showing what they said was still valid.
Plus you can not do away with the whole old testament because there are prophecies in the OT that have still yet to be fulfilled.
As a matter of fact the two greatest commands that the Lord gave, He tells us by walking in those commands to love is all the law and prophets fulfilled, because we through love establish what they said.

As for your final question Christ did not ban or condemn them either, so still a mute debate......

Some people think that all God has is a trumpet. Jesus said if these do not cry out, that the rocks would. So if a rock can praise God then why not a flute or drums or guitar or piano. Music is the highest form of praise.

What ever is not lead by the Holy Spirit is in essence sin. Remember that the original sin was not eating a fruit, but rather disobeying God.

Leviticus 10:1 (NKJV)
1 Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the LORD, which He had not commanded them.

Disobedience to God is not just disobeying a command, but too doing what he did not command one to do, if you don't believe me just ask these to brothers...

Yes God killed them because they offered fire that was not from the altar, which symbolises offering another Jesus and God will not accept that and killed them. He also killed Reubens sons The first one just say's because he was evil and then his brother took his wife as his wife and was supposed to provide an heir for his brother but he issued on the ground and God killed him as well.

The Psalms according to Jesus is included in old testament law :

John 10:34 (NKJV)
34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '?

Psalm 82:6 (NKJV)
6 I said, "You are gods, And all of you are children of the Most High.

Now in the new law (new covenant, show me the verse that says the NT church can use musical instruments)

Well that would be ridiculous to put this as saying anything not in the word is sin.
That would then mean were all sinning right now by using computers, watching TV, listening to the radio, driving cars, and more. For there is tons of things that was not authorized in the word that we use, for they were not invented yet. That does not make them sin......

So the good schoolmaster teaches us God means what he says, and says what he means... so why is man now so brazen to go above what is written and add to the command to sing?

It was a given. look when Saul was tormented by evil spirits David would play the harp and the evil spirits would leave. Who gave man the ability to create musical instruments God or Satan?. You want find in the bible watching TV, but I can watch the gospel on TV or I can watch filth. Who gave man the ability to create TV God or Satan? you want find in the bible surfing the internet, but I am here on the internet talking about the things of God or you can watch smut on the internet, who gave man the ability to create an internet God or Satan?

That would depend on what we use all those things for wouldn't it? many are expedient, making it easier to spread the word of God, to teach each other (like we are using computers for right now) to drive farther to church, to worship more comfortable (with lights and air conditioners) and microphones so the minister can "publicly address" more people, much like our Lord did from a boat, and on a mount to "publicly address" and how they rode donkeys to carry and ride making their journey more expedient...

but like then, today many of our expedient things can be used sinfully, and why :

2 John 1:9 (KJV) Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

Keep looking further as the book of Psalms and the prophetic books from the prophets are not even part of the Torah.

The Torah which is the book of laws and instructions only consist's of the first five books of the bible;
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

The rest are considered historic, poetic, prophetic books and not laws. Just because you can find the same thing in those books the law spoke of is common as they went by the teachings of the laws. Does not make them books of the law.

Yes it would depend on how it is used, however you throw that out the window to push a doctrine of instrumental usage that is neither condemned or condoned in the NT.
