I find it sort of disgusting how a lot of people here are only concerned with Christians who are being killed. : |

To make matters worse, these people are pretending it's a war against Christianity as if Christians are the prime target. They're not.

9/11, the Boston Bombing, this recent terrorist attack, do you notice a pattern? These terrorists aren't discriminating against Christians. They're discriminating against Americans as a whole. They're discriminating against the French. They're discriminating against all those who portray their prophet. Yet I see people talking about how this is a "Christian" problem as if Christians are the primary targets.

I'd say you are partly right.Anyone who disagree with them are infidels and if you say anything against their prophet they will kill you.But because Christians and Jews share certain similarities in their holy books they are really the first target and biggest competition. But pretty much anyone is fair game. They are against American democracy and freedom but also because it is considered a Christian country by outsiders, even if people in the country dont all agree to that.

I misread. I thought you were claiming sharia law already existed in the U.S. I've actually heard people make this claim and I suppose that's what my mind concluded.

Sorry, my bad.

Probably because they want to focus on living their own life. I haven't joined any counter movements to the Ferguson protests, despite my opposition to the protesters. I'm sure there are a lot of movements you decided to talk about rather than rally with.

Regardless, an example of Muslims fighting against the IS are the Kurds (granted, not all Kurds are Muslim, most are).

Christians? What about the Jews or Hindus?

You're acting like these Muslims are primarily concerned with Christians. They aren't. They're concerned with everyone who challenges their religion. Imagine if someone invaded your country and they said, "They're invading all the blacks! It's a war against dark skinned people!", despite the fact everyone is being invaded regardless of skin color. That's how your statement comes off.

Once enough Muslims get elected you will see Sharia law. JMO but I dont see how that wont happen.

First, Thank you for your service.

Second, This is not what Christ has called us to.
Wrong. He did not tell us to die at the hands of Satan -- which is who these Islamist terrorists represent and under whose influence they act.

He called us to be ready to die for Him, like Stephen, Paul, Peter, James, Thaddeus, Andrew, Thomas, etc.
This is not an issue of challenging our faith, which are the circumstances these men died. This is an issue of Satan seeking to destroy every culture, every nation, every person that not only professes Christ -- if it were just that, the rest of the world wouldn't care, and the Tribulation would be upon us -- but every culture, nation and person who does not confess Muhammad as the prophet of the "only god" whom they call Allah, and whom I call a minion of Satan.

We aren't fighting flesh and blood, but powers and dominions.
Begging your pardon, Thom, but hogwash, and if I could use a stronger epithet, I would. First, the context of Ephesians 6:12 has nothing to do with external struggles. It is about our personal walk and daily battle between flesh and Spirit. Secondly, we are fighting flesh and blood, who would destroy our flesh and blood, our churches, our nation.

Yes, they are, as I said, under Satan's direct influence and guidance, but they nonetheless intend not just physical harm, but death, and if you think Jesus wants you to stand idle while your life is taken by an Islamist terrorist-fanatic, so be it. I intend to meet them with my Army issue Colt .45 1911A, fully loaded with one in the chamber. If you want to call me unChristlike for that, I really don't care.

The Muslim is not inhuman ...
The "average Muslim" is not, I suppose. The Islamist terrorist is, and deserves to be sent to hell at the first opportunity.

... and he is not beyond the reach of Christ.
That's debatable. I won't debate it here. I don't doubt that God could reach down from heaven and convert him on the spot. I do doubt that he will stand still long enough for you or me to evangelize him. It will enrage him, and we will be dead -- well, you will be. I'll have my Colt with me.

Like the Romans who slaughtered us, as the Muslims rise to kill Christians, more and more of them will convert and come to know Christ.
That's an utterly naïve viewpoint, Thom, one that could easily get you beheaded if you attempt to put it into practice. Romans 1 tells us that there are those completely beyond reach of the Gospel, and only divine intervention could bring them back from their depravity.

I don't care about elected officials or American politics. I look to my King.
You completely fail to understand who and what you're dealing with in the Islamist terrorist. You are part of the problem. I trust in my King as well, and know that He doesn't expect me to be foolhardy. He told His disciples to buy a sword. The Army gave me a Colt. It will do.

I personally don't think the vast majority are waking up. Sure there are people everyday where the light bulb comes on as to where the world is heading but most people are too hypnotized by the pleasures of this world.

In fact the bible even tells us that the path to destruction is wide and that is where many will find themselves when all of this shakes out.

I don't know how much of what you said here is factual but it's very interesting. That said the connections to Nimrod and Semiramis are tenuous at best (the two lived at very different time periods and she was never his wife or 'mother'). The Two Babylons isn't good scholarship. Very little from that book is true. Nimrod probably instigated the first worship of pagan gods, at least at a corporate level, but that's about it. The Bible doesn't tell us much, nor do reliable historical documents.

I'll have to look more into what you said about Semiramis. I have never heard that before. Despite that though, the fact that she was called the "mother of all gods [abominations]" and "courtesan [harlot] of the gods" was an amazing discovery for me. I am not sure about that book you mentioned. Everything I posted above is from my own personal study of history and scripture. A lot of if it can be found on Wikipedia.
I can't prove that the black stone is the same. However, if the image of the first beast still exists today (and it must), it is the only known possibility that fits every description in scripture. The fitting description of it speaking in both the Quaran and the scriptures as well as many other details about its origin and history make it very fitting as the image that men are forced to worship in the last days.

Here is another tidbit. For a number of years now, I have told people to be aware of the threat of Islamic cultural jihad. Obviously I was telling people in the U.S. since that is where I am. Now I am seeing the results of it in nations throughout the earth. I have been met with opposition by people in the U.S. that said it could never happen here. "Pride comes before the fall." One of the biggest oppositions was when I suggested that our government had been compromised to the highest level. I won't be more specific here as to not commit what may be considered treason. But treason or not, it is the truth.
Just take a look at what has been accomplished for Islam. How subtle it has been. How deceptive it all is.
People say that this is all just conspiracy. Well, it is. So what. So was Watergate. That didn't make it any less real.
So now after years of being mostly not well received when passing along the warning that God has given me, others are stepping up and speaking out.
Here is one such case...

Thank you for your service but that is not what God called us to do?

I know that is not what you intended to say... but take a close look.

When you say "us", who are you speaking for? The entire body of Christ? We each have our own gifts and to say that we have no need of some is unwise.

I can certainly testify that God has called me to "protect the weak", "set at liberty the captives", and "warn the people of the coming sword and famine" among other things.

My sister recently had a dream of people willingly getting in line to be beheaded. Many of them with their children. She said that they were doing it because they thought it was just what they had to do. This sounds like most people in the church. God never called his people to be cattle led to the slaughter. That is not what it means by being willing to die for the cause of Christ. You say that we are at war with powers and dominions but have no interest in elected officials or politics? Huh?

Now... I do agree with you about Muslims needing to hear the gospel. Many are converting and will continue to do so as the evils of Islam are exposed by the love of God. We must also be aware that there has, is, and will be wicked men that refuse to submit to the authority of Christ. What kind of servants are we to be if we are not willing to rise up to protect the weak and the innocent willing to give our very lives?

Not all will be warriors like David, Samson, etc... but there will be some. Let's not disregard the importance of their part.

Actually you completely fail to recognize who you are dealing with. You honestly believe you will win at Satan's own game? Satan is the one who introduced us to a world of death and violence. You hold to closely to your gun and your flag mistaking them for your faith. Jesus will not fail us. You think Islam can destroy the Church? If so, then you believe that either Christ is weak or not the Christ.

Okay...so...who were these warriors when Rome condemned us to die in circuses, being boiled alive in oil, and crucifixion? Tell me, where in the history of the early Church do we see us fight against our oppressors with anything more than words and our willingness to give our lives for Christ?

Funny that just last night I was thinking about this gun issue in the last days type scenario. "live by the sword - die by the sword" ... I have to agree that none of the Apostles nor the early church fought against persecution and went like their Master.

My view has always been - if we had a gun in the house - we would trust in IT. Every bump in the night - what would be the first thing that we'd turn to? If one has a gun - that's what you're trusting in and would be the first thing on your mind if you did hear that bump in the night -- so your trust is on the gun. Some say they have them to protect others - but many times it just works out that they wind up using it to protect themselves more often than others.
I'd rather not have a gun to trust or turn to... I'd rather just have & trust The Lord and His Angels camped round about; then to blow someone into Hell that He didn't want there and the huge mistake would fall on me. He may want to use me or someone after me to lead that criminal to Christ. I couldn't bear to have that on my conscience - that someone just entered Hell because of me and if he had killed me instead, I could be in Heaven and to die is gain for us and many a soul has been won by the witness of a Christian victim. Amen, to die is gain and if we love our lives, we'll lose them.

Some of us have testimonies of how Faithful He is to protect when it's not our time to go yet but when it is time to go - we should be readied by now to go at any moment - just because He said so and prepare our loved one's to have that mentality/faith as well.

Raif Badawi just received the first 50 of 1,000 lashes. His crime? Openly criticizing the government in his blog.

Rights activists say Saudi authorities are using Badawi’s case as a warning to others who think to criticise the kingdom’s powerful religious establishment from which the ruling family partly derives its authority.

This is why the whole "It's a war on Christianity" thing ticks me off. It's a self centered idea used by those who are looking for ways to victimize Christians to confirm their own paranoid bias. Open your eyes and you'll see that this is an issue we must fight together, but we have to acknowledge that this isn't just a war against Christians first. It's a war against everyone who doesn't submit to this government religion and their pawns.

I'm not a violent man but I also don't believe in pacifism. I wouldn't hesitate to defend my family and friends.

Percepi, Im not going to say your wrong but who do you align yourself with to fight this? You have seen what America and the world for that matter, has tried to do in appeasing Islamic countries for peace. Nothing seems to work so we have to keep it simple, us against them. The only way to deal with a bully is punch him in the mouth and I'm afraid that the only way to deal with islam is overwhelming force. After that it will calm down awhile until the next time they get enough power. Your right it's a war against everyone as far as islam is concerned but I'm worried about us and our friends first then we can worry about everyone else.

If our enemy are the extremists, we'll need the help of everyone we can possibly get. This includes Muslims who support freedom of speech and religion. We can't simply shrug them off as "an unfortunate necessary target to make sure Islam is gone for good". We need to encourage more peaceful Muslims to speak out because that's precisely what the extremists hate the most! If there's one thing that they hate more than other cultures insulting their religion, it's the feeling of betrayal they get when other Muslims challenge their extremist ways.

Many Muslims are arrested for speaking in favor of free speech and religious choice. These people, who openly oppose Islamic Terrorism, are welcome to live safely in America in my book.

Your right it's a war against everyone as far as islam is concerned but I'm worried about us and our friends first then we can worry about everyone else.

It doesn't matter if you care more about fellow Christians than you do non-Christians, this doesn't excuse putting blinders on and acting like Christians are the primary target. This doesn't excuse acting like Christians are being picked out while everyone else is being ignored.

Asia Bibi still awaits her death sentence. She is a Christian woman who has won the hearts of everyone who values freedom. Even outspoken atheists have shown their support for this woman. Because when it comes to freedom of speech and religion, there should be no discrimination.

Extreme Islam is a force in which we should be united. Isolating ourselves in different petty little groups will only leave us divided, undecided, and vulnerable. If you want what's in the best interest of all the Christians being persecuted by Muslims, then you need to tear down the walls you have built up and fight this issue with the rest of us as opposed to by yourselves.

I tried to edit this into my last post, but ran out of time.

Raif Badawi's family left their country to head towards Canada. As much as it pains me to see Raif being tortured, I'm glad that his family will find safe haven in North America (Canada to be specific). I don't care if they're Muslim or not, they deserve our love and protection.

Actually you completely fail to recognize who you are dealing with. You honestly believe you will win at Satan's own game?
Hitler was Satan's pawn also. Why don't you go ask him how successfully he held off the rest of the world to accomplish his sinister goals?

Oh ...

Gee ....

I guess you can't.

Never mind.

Satan is the one who introduced us to a world of death and violence. You hold to closely to your gun and your flag mistaking them for your faith. Jesus will not fail us. You think Islam can destroy the Church? If so, then you believe that either Christ is weak or not the Christ.
You make a grave, insulting error in thinking I do not trust in Christ, and implying that I cannot be faithful and patriotic at the same time. God places nations for His purposes, and often that is to defend the defenseless in His name.

Many trusted in Christ during WWII also, but through our faith and resolved we ended Hitler's sinister scheme to annihilate the Jews. You are extremely naïve in your view of these "holy jihadists" and do not understand that, when confronted with violence and terror, God endorses our rising up against it to whatever means and extent is necessary.

He is the same God yesterday, today, and forever. He has destroyed radical demonic enemies throughout history, and He has often used His people to do so. You continue in your apologetic mode at your own peril, expecting to do absolutely nothing while the newest version of "mongol hordes" rises out of the east. Are you aware that is the direction of evil, in the Bible? Go study that.

Your do-nothingness is not faith in God. It is fatalism disguised as trust in Him. You do the same thing Christian parents who refuse medical treatment for their children do as they watch them die. Where will your faith be when you do nothing and you are overwhelmed because you refused to do something to defend yourself and your neighbors? It is foolishness. I will trust in my God to give me direction as to what to do in the face of this danger. You stand by and let yourself by "martyred" if you wish.

And by the way, your inability to respond to the reasoning in my post speaks volumes. God have mercy on you. I'm sure He will, but your naïveté coild nonetheless easily get you killed. May it come swiftly, if it does, for your sake.

Jesus' own words "I did not come to bring peace but to bring a sword". Hardly the words of a pacifist.

You guys it's time to just call a spade a spade. And that spade is islam. We have the blessings of being warned by by true watchers on the wall like Bill Warner and Walid Shoebat as well as the laboratory that is Western Europe and Austrailia.
France is just latest example and my prayers and condolences are with them, but they had to know something was coming.

First you invite boat loads of islamic immigrants to move in, establish no go zones essentially establishing sharia towns, push out any resemblance of Christianity and allow sharia courts, and are still allowed to vote after aggressively disassimilating. Then these occupants petition the media about how mistreated they are after cartoons offend them. What? All they're trying to do is shut down the free media just like they do in their home Islamic country then they can get away with the real agenda. Propagate islam and destroy Chrstianity And Judeism as it is written in their holy book.

You guys have got to know that this is just their MO. This is what they do. They get in set up shop and want sharia law. And no one can tell me one country, state, city or republic that thrives with Islamic law. You name me one an ill move there. You and I know that a place like that just doesn't exist. So we cannot sit here and just appease this any longer, sure praying for your enemy is fine and dandy but when people, Christian people, are getting shot, stabbed, burned alive raped while saying those prayers, we might want to find another game plan. And I'm not even goin to get into the 20 or so countries going through this.

Guys it it time to flood email servers and put our elected official on notice that if they can't, through political correctness, see what's coming then we need to vote someone in who can. The Lord does say there will be wars and rumors of wars and sometimes Christans got to fight in those wars.

Sorry guys just just had to vent.

No European country allows laws outside its own laws, legally. No Sharia courts are governmentally approved or condoned. No Sharia towns legally exist, and all those who think otherwise are blatantly ignorant. A few months ago I read a poster here talking about the sensationalism regarding Sharia No-Go zones in the UK. Do you know what actually happened? A few hardline Muslims put up stickers on a few lamp-posts that read 'Sharia Zone'. The police took them down, investigated and found those responsible.

Contrary to ignorant assumptions, there is no law in the UK (or France for that matter) than the law that exists. No legal precedent exists in the UK that deems Sharia law acceptable in any UK territory. What happened in France could have happened anywhere. It really isn't dificult in most countries to procure guns if one so wishes, and being blanketly anti-Islam won't help.

Numerous examples exist of mass shootings in America (the school shootings for instance) and in Europe. Anti-Islam protests and anti-Islamophobia protests are also prevalent, but what I think it is important to say to you, personally, is that people who commit crimes like these are hateful and ignorant people. They do not represent the general population, nor the majority of Muslim people.

Muslim leaders in France overwhelmingly condemned the attacks, and most rational and sane people did that too, without resorting to tarring every Muslim with the terrorist brush and giving cause thereby for support for radical Islam. If anyone needs to wake up, it is the mountain of (generally Americans) who have this idea that Muslims are by-and-large psychotic, deranged murderers.

It simply isn't the case. By my standards, France, Germany, Britain, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland (Western Europe) are by and large full of people not so outrageous as to think one attack is justification to assume every Muslim in Western Europe wants a society that stones people to death.

Many of those Muslims moved out of their countries of origin to get away from such radical interpretations of the Quran. Many of the Muslims who still reside there oppose those violent incidents as much as you or I may. Islam isn't the problem; the minority of radicals are the problem.

What's it like living in a fictional world?
Why don't you tell us, since you're the only current resident I know of.

People keep talking about sharia law in America, but it literally doesn't exist anywhere in our government.
You need to do as the thread title says -- " Wake up!" The reference to Sharia Law by Anonimous has nothing to do with the U.S. It is the condition that has existed in Paris for years, long before the terrorist attacks of the last week. If you're going to participate in the discussion, try to follow it. Thanks.

Really? Have you been to Paris to confrim that? Because I have, and any incident of a person contradicting French law is treated as a crime whether some people think the place is a Sharia zone or not. When you see Alice, tell her she needs to get out of the rabbit hole.
