You say the only one who never had salvation to begin with is the one who never did anything they heard to do to begin with.

Then explain this to me; Why did Jesus mention a group that did hear and did do for a time being what they heard, and then still fell away do to a hardship in their life and ended up with no salvation ???

They did not do for any time what they were told. If they did, then the root would have grown and they would have produced fruit, and not withered away.

A doer of the word produces fruit. Jesus never said a person at one time produced fruit, then fell away.

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?"
I never claimed we should sin, or can sin. or continue to live as we did before. that is not the topic.

the topic is is obedience to any part of the law (including the moral aspect) required for salvation, as John832 is trying to proclaim.

the answer is simple. if it is, we are under law not grace.

Please take note of words such as 'if', or 'unless'...

Hebrews 10:26,27 "For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, then there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.”

John 15:1,2, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch IN Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit."

John 15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned.”

1 John 1:6,7 "If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

2 Peter 2:20-22 "For if after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed to them."

Romans 8:12,13 "So then, brethren (speaking to those who are saved), we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” Notice the word 'putting' is an ongoing action- not 'have put' meaning past tense. This implies constant effort, action on our part after being saved.

1 Corinthians 15:1,2 "Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which also you stand, and by which you are saved, IF you hold fast the word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.” In vain means a waste of time because it did not result in salvation.

Colossians 1:21-23 "And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, (that is before you became Christians) you were engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you (that is you have become a Christian) in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless beyond reproach—IF indeed you CONTINUE in the faith firmly established and STEADFAST, and NOT MOVED AWAY from the HOPE of the gospel which you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.”

2 Peter 2:20,21 "For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, (now these people are Christians) and they are again entangled in these things and they are overcome, that the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them”

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 "Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? You run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and I make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.”

Galatians 5:19-21 "Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, (who, ‘you Christians’) just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

1 Timothy 4:1 "But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons."

Galatians 5:4 "You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.”

John 15:10 "IF you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love."

The above verses you mentioned are for the people on verses Luke 8:6-7. The Sower ( Word of God ) made all (seeds ) hearers sprang ( take note )....

Luke 8:5-8New King James Version (NKJV)

5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. 8 But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

The OSAS is for Verse 8. The ones on good ground and yielded a crop.

I didnt mean you implied for people to sin, please dont take it that way I was just showing some Scripture concerning what we are to do after receiving Yahshua.

To put it in *my own words*:

*We have been given undeserved mercy that is meant to lead to obedience to what He says to "hear and obey".*

obedience is required:

Yaaqob 2:26, "For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so the faith without works is dead also."

John 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

We have to do HIS works, His path, His Instruction... not our our our....

In my reading and guidance of the Spirit this was the clearest passage concerning that principle IMO:

Mattithyah 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to Me; Teacher! Teacher! will enter into the Kingdom of Yahweh, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day; Teacher! Teacher! Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your Name performed many wonderful works? But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

Their obedience did not save them. so how can it be required?

We do not HAVE TO

WE DESIR TO, WE WANT TO. WE RELISH ThE OPPORTUNITY TO.

When you say "we HAVE TO"

we are placing ourselves under law.

No one who has truly repented and truly has faith in the saving work of God. because the veil has been removed from our thick skulls and our sin has been exposed, will want to continue to live in sin. That is not even plausable. or as John said in 1 John 3, Not even possible.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. [SUP]5 [/SUP]And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. [SUP]6 [/SUP]Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. so which is it? Did God lie. and those who sin have never seen God or know God? or did he speak truth?

I never claimed one can be sinless, Niether did John. nor was that his topic.

As for 2 timothy, that is not talking about saved people. that is peaking of the churches, we see this today. where false prophets are comming in and taking over churches, the true body of Christ leaves those churches. they do nto stick with them.

Tell me, when does one who has truly passed from death to life pass back into death? When does he come into condemnation?

John 5:24

(ACV) Truly, truly, I say to you, that he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life. And he does not come into condemnation, but has passed from death into life.

(ASV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.

(CEV) I tell you for certain that everyone who hears my message and has faith in the one who sent me has eternal life and will never be condemned. They have already gone from death to life.

(CLV) Verily, verily, I am saying to you that he who is hearing My word and believing Him Who sends Me, has life eonian and is not coming into judging, but has proceeded out of death into life."

(Darby) Verily, verily, I say unto you, that he that hears my word, and believes him that has sent me, has life eternal, and does not come into judgment, but is passed out of death into life.

(EMTV) "Most assuredly I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.

(ESV) Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

The bunch of you are diminishing God's Word and power to save by turning it on the believer to keep himself to the end.
is there something deeper in this verse...or are devils passing from death to life.....because everyone hears his word and devils also believe....so that "hear" and "believe" must mean something more...what it means to you will determine your action and belief...

really?

"only he who does the will of My Father"

SO has to be His will...
so your saying one can be saved and never do the will of God. one can have faith in God and not do what he says.

come on man, I know your not that far off on your doctrine.

No, he does not HAVE to do his will, that is not what the passage says, it says they DO do his will. huge difference

But these people did

"many wonderful works"

but yet they are told

"Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity"
Why do you ignore the most important part Jesus said?

Matthew 7:23
And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

He said he never knew them, not once, How could they have ever been saved?

Why?

Titus 1:16, "They profess that they know Yahweh, but by their works they deny Him--being abominable, disobedient, and to every righteous work, reprobate."

Yep. Why? Because they were never saved, never born again, Never made righteous, never justified. The pharisees will be first in line to try to pronounce all their great works they did for God. And God will say the same thing to them.

they practiced iniquity for even when they did these so called great works. they did them in sin, NOT FOR GOD. it is called self righteusness.

2 Timothy 3:5, "Having a form of holiness, but denying the authority of it--from such turn away!"

John 5:24, "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."

John 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

"does not follow My words"

Yet they chose their own acceptable "path" their own acceptable "works"

Only what He says is acceptable is acceptable.... and that includes more than I believe... but actual obedience....

Yaaqob 2:26, "For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so the faith without works is dead also."

Obedience to His Instructions, not the instructions of one's imagination....

Revelation 14:13, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"
How can we recieve eternal life THE MOMENT WE BELIEVE, Have the PENALTY OF THE LAW pass away from us (be saved) and then be required to do good deeds or else?

Thats the problem with legalism,

If you say required. you teach law.

I am not required to do Good. I DESIRE TO DO GOOD. and produce fruit.

That is not the people jesus spoke of.

Again HE SAID I NEVER KNEW YOU.

They practice self righteousness, which is sin.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
He said.

I NEVER KNEW YOU.

So yes he was talking to unsaved people. If they were vr saved, then at the time they were saved, they had a personal relationship with God. AND GOD KNEW THEM.

Jesus did not say, I knew you at one time, but you fell away and started practicing sin, so I cast you out.

He said, I NEVER KNEW YOU.

The they is the church, just like the 7 churches, many had fallen away in the time john spoke. by listening to false prophets and teachers, because they were not saved.

the church is falling away today, Just as prophesied.

people are not losing salvation. the church is losing its lampstand.

No Condemnation in Christ

1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

Controlled by the Spirit
9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Heirs with Christ
12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Future Glory
18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, 21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. 24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? 25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

God Works In All Things
28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. 29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

More than Conquerors
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When God the Father calls you for His own, you are no more alive in the flesh but now alive in the Spirit of Jesus Christ. If you fall, you have an advocate with the Father, that of Jesus Christ. The Lord will chastise and teach and guide you from start to finish. He will take care of your needs. He WILL complete what He started in you, that is an eternal promise. Nothing will separate you from that promise of God.

When a child of the Living God disobeys and attempts to satisfy his/her flesh, they will ultimately experience darkness, anxiety, restlessness, depression, discontentment, no joy, lost opportunity, brokenness. Because they are trying to resurrect something that has already been crucified with Christ. God will not allow His children to live in disobedience because He loves us. Your chastisement could ultimately develop into a living death. You will turn back to God and repent, or you will be beat down by rebellion until you repent. The Lord God will conform you to Jesus Christ one way or the other. The easy way (obedience) or the hard way (chastisement).

The Lord is merciful and loving and makes a way of escape from temptation. If we choose not to take that way, we will surely discover that there is no other way. Every sheep belonging to the Shepherd is important to God. He will come after you if you wander away. Nothing will stop Him. Not even ignorance and unbelief.

How can we recieve eternal life THE MOMENT WE BELIEVE, Have the PENALTY OF THE LAW pass away from us (be saved) and then be required to do good deeds or else?

the fact is you cannot...you want to believe Christ said to do something.... not do it and think you will receive something simply because you say you believe...
Hebrews 5:9
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Acts 5:32
And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

Yet THEY thought they knew Him...

"Not everyone who says to Me; Teacher! Teacher!

Many will say to Me in that day; Teacher! Teacher! Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your Name performed many wonderful works?"

But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

It all hangs on the ACTUAL MEANING of the words that are written...

as opposed to what we, as in you or I, think it means, words have meanings.... to ignore the meaing of His words if folly...

for these are the following verses:

Mattithyah 7:24-27, "Therefore, everyone who hears these sayings ofMine, and does them, is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat against that house; but it did not fall, for it was founded upon the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, but does not do them, is like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat against that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it."

lol. Nice try

I have FAITH IN CHRIST.

I KNOW I AM A SINNER. (the law proved that to me)

I am not saved just because I believe I am saved BECAUSE I HAVE FAITH IN ALL GOD SAID.

I do not work because I think I HAVE TO. I do it. BECAUSE I TRUST THAT GOD KNOWS what is BEST FOR ME. and WANT TO do THOSE THINGS.

Those passages speak of me.

I obey God. NOT TO BE SAVED, but BECAUSE I AM SAVED

No Condemnation in Christ
This is true...

and this verse is quoted oh so often....

Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

and it is true 100%, but it is not the whole story... for John writes: (oh and this one is not so popular at the brick and mortar church)

1 John 2:3-6, "And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked."

Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."

"to them which are in "

"whoever says he abides in him ought to"

1 John 2:6, "whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked."

Again just posting for it is the truth and it is written....

Yet THEY thought they knew Him...

"Not everyone who says to Me; Teacher! Teacher!
Alot of people think they know him, the pharisees thought they knew God. they did not know him at all now did they? Just knowing god will not save you. now will it?

Many will say to Me in that day; Teacher! Teacher!
Have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and in Your Name performed many wonderful works
?"

But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."
You keep ignoring the most important part of the passage. their I highlighted it for you. why do you continue to ignore that part?

They practice iniquity because THEY DO NOT KNOW GOD. they have not repented. They are trying to get to God through religion through works, through self effort. and have rejected the gospel of Grace.

do you think I am going to go in front of God and praise all my works? think again, I will be on my knees, KNOWING I deserve judgement, no matter how God I THINK I WAS.

It all hangs on the ACTUAL MEANING of the words that are written...

"who practice iniquity"

I NEVER KNEW YOU.

All non believers practice iniquity, because they are of their father the devil. whether they appear to be doing the work of God does not matter, they are still unsaved, still do not know God. Still not known by God. and all they do is for self.

even proclaiming these good works here is puffing themselves up. Where did they praise the work of God? they were to busy puffing their own works up. just like the pharisees. to realise how sinful they were. they denied they were sinners, Jesus proclaimed why they deny, they are sinners.
