Amen to this...for God so loved the world (cosmos) whole order of things.........if God loved us conditionally we would all be in trouble and it would be very, very hot at the end of the day....!
If the word "world" in John 3:16 means cosmos, instead of "believers only" you are going to have to explain Rom 9:11 to me. And John 6:39. And 1 Cor 2:14.

HEY! Speak for yourself there! I got a loooooooonnnnnnnggggggg way to go before I come close to being a "Masterpiece."

(people wanna just lump everyone into one bag 'n' say they are all the same.............shoot.............)
After Jesus washed our sins away, He looks at us as having no sin. If we have no sin, then we are God's masterpiece.

Google it, look it up in a concordance or open your Greek New testament....the word is KOSMOS (sometimes I type COSMOS) and means the whole order of things....God loved everything that he made.....

1. ALL OF CREATION GROANS AND TRAVAILS waiting for the adoption!
2. ALL things will be made NEW

And why would you have a problem reconciling the scriptures with the use of Kosmos.....

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared unto all men......

The word appeared is epe-phino and means shined upon..........

The word world is kosmos and means the whole order of things...even creation groans and travails unto this present day waiting for the adoption
My king james version has a reference noted after Titus 2:11 referring me to Eph 2:8 which is written to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus. The "all men" in Titus 2:11 are saints, the faithful in Christ Jesus, the elect, the chosen, the redeemed, etc. Not all mankind.

I also want to add......How does the bolded jive with...God has dealt to EVERY MAN A MEASURE OF FAITH....?
According to 1 Cor 2:14, he does not deal a measure of faith to the carnal man. The carnal man has no faith until he is first born of the Spirit. When we are born again, we then have access to faith, which is a fruit of the Spirit. Gal 5:22.

Ok....We all argue our beliefs based upon what we perceive to be absolute truth based upon what we have studied, been taught, believe etc. Let this thread be short precise statements that we all can agree on like the following statements....If your not to high and mighty and are needing a break from the norm then add one that we can all agree on....or maybe let the thread die and go the way of the dodo. NOTE--THIS THREAD IS FOR BIBLE BELIEVING PEOPLE AND GEARED TOWARD THE BIBLE

Please keep it along these lines of thought...

God created the heavens and the Earth<---We can all agree on this right?
Mary was the mother of Jesus<----We can all agree on this right?
Jesus died to pay for humanities sins<----We can all agree on this right?

So...what line of thought do you have that we can all agree on?
Um....like whaddya mean? Like thoughts like "Jesus is awesome!"

how can the deaf man hear.
how can a blind man see.

yet, both, can get a dream or vision from god, in there minds eye.

my point, god can speak to everyone or get a message to everyone.

we humans, all fail in this.

the god of the living and the dead. under the alter in revs (example.)

Maybe you have a different version of the bible than I have. Rom 8:23, This whole chapter is talking about those that have been created in Christ Jesus. If you make "all creation" to mean all mankind, then you would have to make it to include every thing that God created, such as trees, animals, etc. In verse 7, Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 2 Cor 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new, this verse excludes the carnal man, or all mankind, and only has reference to those that are in Christ. There is no way that you are going to get the scriptures to harmonize until you understand that God has an elect people that the bible is written to that they might know how God wants them to live their lives here on earth. The bible is an instruction book for his elect and not a book written to the carnal man telling him how he can get saved eternally. It would help you, if you could understand the separation of the salvation scriptures, salvation means "a delivery", both eternal and timely.

I have a problem with "the world" in John 3:16 meaning "all mankind" because God did not send Jesus to die for all mankind according to John 6:37-40. he sent him to die only for those that he gave him. John 17:2, As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. Acts 2:39, For the promise is unto you, and unto your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many (not the whole), but as many as the LORD our God shall call. Acts 13:48, And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glade, and glorified the word of the Lord, and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Who believed? not the carnal man, but as many as were ordained to eternal life. Rev 3:19, As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. God does not rebuke and chasten the carnal man, Ps 73, There are no bands in their death; but their strength is firm. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued (chastened) like other men. Verse 16-17, When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

ALL men is conclusive of ALL MEN....

God has dealt to EVERY MAN a measure of faith (the ability to believe)
God would have ALL men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth

The REFERENCES are not inspired, the Word is and is CLEAR..........

It would help if you would pay attention to the inspired words and phrases that are used while understanding that Christ had to (BUY BACK) ALL that had been given to Satan by the fall of ADAM.....PAY particular attention to the following that I will AGAIN POST..........

5. ...God who is the savior of ALL MEN, specially of those that BELIEVE
6. To wit, God was in CHRIST, reconciling the WORLD unto himself
7. And having made peace through the bold of the cross, by him to reconcile ALL THINGS UNTO HIMSELF; by him I say, whether they be things IN THE EARTH, or things in HEAVEN

The word is clear....no offence, but I suggest you adjust your theology as the words ALL MEN, ALL THINGS, THE WORLD, THE UNGODLY, ALL of CREATION, THE KOSMOS are clear...........

Faith comes by HEARING and HEARING by the word of GOD........you cannot be BORN of the SPIRIT without (FAITH)

BELIEVE (FAITH) and thou shalt be SAVED (BORN OF THE SPIRIT)

Your theology is a little off bro.......

Then, if I understand you right, are you saying that the carnal man, void of the Spirit, has been given the measure of faith? I do not see how I can make that harmonize with 1 Cor 2:14. Can you? I have explained Rom 10:1-2, and told you that there is a deliverance (salvation) in coming unto a knowledge of the truth, but it is a timely deliverance and not eternal. The scriptures will never harmonize until you learn to separate the salvation scriptures.

My intent is not to make you angry, but only to discuss our different interpretations of the scriptures, by addressing the scriptures that we present to each other with an explanation of that scripture. I have tried to explain every scripture that you have presented to me. In order for it to be a fruitful discussion you will have to do the same. In saying that, what is your interpretation of 1 Cor 2:14? Just one of many that you have not explained to me.

To the bolded....if you read you will see that I have on more that 20 times in different threads made reference to the fact that the word salvation does not necessarily mean soul/spirit salvation........The bible is clear....so brother...take it how every you wish to take it and believe what you will......

Faith is a gift of GOD
A man cannot be born again with out BELIEVING (FAITH)

To deny the fact that there is a divine spark to worship and conscience in every man born denies many things......

God is precise....When he states to the Roman brethren by PAUL to not think more highly than the should, but according to the fact that God has dealt to EVERY man the measure of faith....HE does not use the words AMONG YOU as in.. God hath dealt to every man (AMONG YOU) the measure of faith......WORDS or the lack thereof mean everything.......Was GOD indicating that ONLY the brothers at the church which was located at Rome only had a measure of faith or was Paul saying that God has dealt to EVERY MAN THE MEASURE of FAITH......

Concerning JESUS...he was not given FAITH by MEASURE
Concerning JOHN the BAPTIST HE HAD THE SPIRIT from the WOMB...

There are variables that most do not ever ponder for sure!

Pay particular attention to John 6:37-40 and you sill see that Jesus died only for those that his Father gave him, and that all that he died for will live with him in heaven, without the loss of even one. You do not have the truth if you can't make all scriptures harmonize.

If you wish to continue to give man the glory and praise for taking action to save himself eternally and not giving God the glory and praise for saving you eternally by his grace, and his grace alone, continue on, but the doctrine that I believe gives God alone all the praise and glory. I have given you many scriptures, unexplained by you, that makes you believing in a false doctrine, not the one Christ taught. Such as John 6:39.
