these are my personal ones:
1. avoid those who treat waitstaff like crap.
2. avoid those who are proud of not being able to do everyday tasks...like the women who are proud that they don't know how to cook. While they may say that they are liberated from traditional women's roles (yes, I have actually heard this), how is not being able to do something "liberating?" It's an important life skill, yet some think this way. I don't get it. It seems foolish.
3. avoid those who write "could of," "would of," and "should of." I know that when we get to talking fast it may sound like that is how these phrases are spelled, but it is not. Let people slide who may not have English as their primary language. No excuse for "LYE-berry" though. There is the raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, thimbleberry, marionberry, gooseberry, olallieberry, elderberry, and even the dingleberry, but there is no libary.
4. avoid someone who treats you poorly when things are going a little bad for them. You don't want someone whose love is that conditional.
5. avoid someone who won't let themselves be comforted by you when they need comfort. Being with a prideful person kind of sucks.
6. avoid someone who criticizes you severely when you mess up. You already know you did and feel bad enough about it. You don't need someone shooting the wounded.
7. avoid someone who doesn't like to do new things every now and again, whether it's a road trip to a different place or an ethnic meal. We're not wandering in the desert eating the same thing day in and day out. No need to act like we are by getting in a rut.
8. avoid someone who was not born the gender they currently are.
9. avoid those who have no hobbies (television is not a hobby).
10. avoid those who either don't challenge you to get out of your comfort zone at all (I want to experience at least some of your interests so that I can see what makes you tick even if I don't like all the things you like), or wants you to get out of your comfort zone way more than what you are willing to do (I won't go sky diving with you.).
