Must a born again Christian read the literal words of the Ten Commandments in order to know it is wrong in God's sight for them to commit adultery, steal, murder, covet etc
According to the New Covenant, the conviction of the HOLY SPIRIT written in the Gospel of John, the world is wrong about sin that is measured closely as relates to the Ten Commandments of GOD. Their actual sin after the resurrection of CHRIST is not believing in the redeeming MESSIAH who came to take away the sins of this world, sins measured according to the standards closely related to the Ten Commandments or those who are under these Commandments.

GOD sent for mankind's Savior CHRIST to make peace with sinners, in order to be saved and safe from HIS own Righteous and Holy wrath and judgement to come with no mercy but to only once and for all divide Eternally.

And Christians, sin or lawlessness judge on 'judgement day', is for not completely believing in the completed teaching of CHRIST, written in the New Covenant, which hearers does truthfully 'fulfills' the 'Righteous' and 'Holy' requirement of the Ten Commandments and the Law and the Prophets.

So please listen and pay attention and practice/do every 'word' of CHRIST written in the New Covenant, upon being taught by the HOLY SPIRIT and guided, day by day. Fail in practice them once, or twice or again and again, hold fast to your confession and practice them once again and again, until their practice trains them to become perfect, even they willing to lay down their lives for the Gospel sake.

Conclusion:

So the written and established GOD's New Covenant teaching of 'spirit' and 'life' made by CHRIST, actually 'fulfills' the 'Righteous' and 'Holy' requirement of the Ten Commandments, if we 'practice/do' them. Then we will not remain the same as before in carnal/flesh's 'passions' and 'desires' and once again be under the curse enslave to them, even in similarity to the 'Law of the letter'. And later and finally without knowing it one surely perish in condemnation by GOD to hell.

I John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

23: And this is His commandment, [Pay Attention HERE, The Apostle John is about to plainly tell us what His Commandments are] That we should 1) believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and 2) love one another, as He gave us commandment.

There you have it. Believe in Jesus and LOVE ONE ANOTHER, do those two things and you fulfill ALL the LAW. But woe to those who FAIL to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

^i^ responding to OP
sinners love sinners yet why will they go to hell ?

How come religion takes so much effort to make so complex what Christ and His Word, make so simple?

Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

SO those Laws He writes on our heart, are they the same or different than the ones Messiah followed?

Which covenant was in existence when Christ walked this earth, the old or the new?

Who was Christ sent to primarily during his earthly ministry, Jews or Gentiles?

Who was Christ sent to primarily during his earthly ministry, Jews or Gentiles?
There is no Jew and Gentile in Messiah:

Romans 9:6-8, "However, it is not as though Yahweh's plan had failed. For it is not everyone who is a descendant of Israyl who belongs to Israyl. Nor, just because they are his descendants, are they all Abraham's children; but: In Isaac will your seed be called. That is, it is not those who are the children of the flesh who are Yahweh's children; but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's seed."

Psalm 105:6-9, "O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Yaaqob, His chosen ones! He is Yahweh our Father! His judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, the Law He commanded for a thousand generations; Which He made; ratified, established, with Abraham, and vowed by His oath to Isaac. He confirmed it; let it stand, to Yaaqob for a Law, and to Israyl for an everlasting covenant."

Galations 3:28-29, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Messiah Yahshua. And if you are Messiah’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise."

and the New Covenant is under the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, Yahshua /Jesus the Messiah:

Hebrews 4:1-15, "Seeing then that we have a great High Priest Who has ascended into the heavens: Yahshua the Son of Yahweh, let us hold fast our profession. For we do not have a High Priest Who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all ways tempted as we are--yet was without sin."

Hebrews 9:11-12, "But the Messiah came near as a High Priest over the righteous things to come, with the great and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation;Nor through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once, for all, having obtained eternal redemption."

and our High Priest says:

Matt 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1-2, "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahchanan, saw the holy city, Yahweh Shammah, coming down from Yahweh out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of Yahweh is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and Yahweh Himself will be with them, and be their Father.

Mattithyah 5:18-19, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected. Whosoever, therefore, will break one of the least of these Laws, and will teach men so, he will be called the least in the Kingdom of Yahweh; but whosoever will do and teach them, the same will be called great in the Kingdom of Yahweh."

Mattithyah 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.

SO with that said, the Law that is written on our hearts:

Yeremyah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

"Law" is word #H8451 - Torah: direction, instruction, law Original Word: תּוֹרָה Part of Speech: Noun Feminine Transliteration: torah

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them."

the word Law is: 3551. nomos
nomos: that which is assigned, hence usage, law

Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; You are my Father, O Yahweh! You are the Rock of my salvation! And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast with Him. And I will establish his Seed forever, and his throne will be as the days of heaven. Should his children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change what that has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness--I cannot lie, and I say to David: His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."

(I showed by Scripture that Messiah is now High Priest by way of His willful Sacrifice, and now sits as High Priest, thus showing Messiah is the true Sacrifice and there is no levitical priesthood, but the office of the priesthood stand s with Messiah)

Is that Law written on our hearts in the New Covenant the same or different than the Law the YHWH spoke from the mountain or that He had Moses write, and had Messiah explain?

On more than one occasion Jesus said he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. Under the new covenant if a person relies on reading the literal letter of the Ten commandments to understand how God wants them to live, they have a major problem in my opinion

That didn't really answer the question....michael56 the written word is how we test the spirits. For the Spirit of YHWH is the same every day.

John (Yahchanan) 10:16, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd (4166. poimén)."

and if I can say...Im glad your opinion is not the word of the Messiah;

John (Yahchanan) 7:16-17 "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching--whether it comes from YHWH, or whether I am speaking of My own authority."

John (Yahchanan) 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Carry each others burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ Gal 6:2

Though Jesus death was for Jew and Gentile his earthly ministry was primarily to the Jews.

I keep telling you, I do not read long, long posts. Make them shorter and I will not miss anything but address it

So you honor the 7th day as written and have never read it?

or

are are you following the pattern of this guy?

Isayah 56:1-7, "This is what Yahweh says: Keep the judgments, and do justly; for My salvation is near, soon, to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them; and keeps his hand from doing any evil. Do not let the son of the Gentile, who has joined himself to Yahweh, speak, saying; Yahweh has utterly separated me from His people. Nor let the eunuch say; Behold, I am a dry tree. For this is what Yahweh says: To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, and choose those things which please Me, and hold fast to My covenant: I will give to them, in My House, even within My walls, a place and a Name equal to that of sons and of daughters; I will give them the Name of The Everlasting: YAHWEH; which will not be cut off. Also the sons of the Gentile who join themselves to Yahweh, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahweh, to be His servants--everyone who keeps the Sabbaths without polluting; defiling, them and who holds fast to My covenant--I will bring them to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My House of prayer..."

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against Yahweh, and will wear out the saints of Yahweh, and think to change times and Laws..."

Much debate here. Just want to make this input. As for a christian's right standing with the Most High, he have to look to Christ and the Gospel alone. As for his following of Christ and his affairs of governing here on earth, he has to consult the Law. There is no way around this. Even if you claim to be ever so Spirit filled to the limit.

No these were Messiah 2 greatest;

Mattithyah 22:36-40, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Your quotes do not change the fact Jesus earthly ministry was primarily to the lost sheep of Israel.
Jesus commands can be summed up as:
Love God and love your neighbour, as the Apostle Paul obviously knew, hence Gal 6:2

James recognized this;

James 1:22-25, " But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does."

Paul also recognized this;

Romans 7:7 What? Can anyone therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet.

but we must stay in Him to know it's truest and deepest intent and to have any ability to walk in the narrow path.

I can asure you I did not have to read the literal words of the Ten commandments to know how God wanted me to live
In fact, before I joined any debating website I could not even remember all of them. In order to engage in debate, I read up on them. I found nine of them as written were already on my heart that is the way God desired me to live. As this is not a debate on the fourth commandment, please let that slide

So I guess it boils down to something different than what is written in your view?

1 John 5:2-3 (ESV), "By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome."

1 John 2 (ESV), "1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: 6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. 7 Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. 8 At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because[a] the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. 9 Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 12 I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, children, because you know the Father. 14 I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one."

John (Yahchanan) 10:16, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd (4166. poimén)."

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God [SUP]22 [/SUP]and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. [SUP]23 [/SUP]And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us 1John 3:21-23

Do you need to be ever so spirit filled to become a born again Christian according to your statement? If so we are all ever so spiritual
