I can agree that body language [ generally ] tells the most - to someone who is sufficiently "aware" enough to "read" it -- and that, in most cases, face-to-face counseling is best.
However, in every form of communication, there are 'clues' -- body language tells much - but then, so do words... ( whether 'verbal' or 'written' )
~
Please do not misunderstand what I am saying here. I am in no way trying to defend microscoped. I am just saying that "the clues are there"...
And, speaking of such -- let me illustrate a point by saying:
"I have little respect for anyone [ on here ] who is not willing to spend the time to make sure that what they post is typographically correct..."
I know that some struggle with the English language -- I am not talking about that.
I know that 'innocent' typos "do happen" -- I, myself, make them from time to time.
What I am talking about is the painfully obvious ones that are made very carelessly.
This kind of thing is "very telling" about the people who write those posts...
"I do not expect absolute perfection from others - I am far from perfect myself; however, a reasonable amount of effort is certainly appreciated..."
