No offence, but there is no problem with the eternal security that is afforded in the word of God as it is God given.....the bible is clear.....it is the spirit that has been born again and is eternally saved, sealed, justified and sanctified in Christ for ever as GOD'S kingdom is SPIRITUAL......the spirit, until the day of redemption, is housed in a fallen, wicked, body of sin that is weak, fails and occasionally sins...I will not even argue this point as it is clear from scripture and both Jesus, Paul and John speak to this truth in one way or another.
Someone led by the spirit, faithful, a honorable vessel with works of gold, silver and precious stones
Someone saved, yet led by the flesh, a dishonorable vessel with works of wood, hay and stubble<--yet saved so as by fire
Someone saved yet lives contrary and maybe even does wicked things<---cut lose for the destruction of the flesh so the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Someone saved that walks contrary<----grieves the Holy Spirit of God yet sealed unto the day of redemption
Someone saved who walks contrary<---chastised by the Lord, blessing taken and maybe even physical life
For those who want to claim that the battle between the Spirit and the Flesh is gnostic...I suggest you take it up with God and Paul as they both speak to the validity of this truth!....God being Jesus that is!

God will never take away that "new spirit" which He has put within His children: for "the gifts and calling of God are without repentance [without a change of mind) [Rom. 11:29] That new creation within us is PERFECT - it is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ via the gift of holy spirit.
He will not make us "perfect in Christ Jesus" [Col. 1:28] and then judge us imperfect. He will not make Christ to be our righteousness and holiness [1 Cor. 1:30] and then unmake His own work. If we are once "complete" in Christ [Col. 2:10] we cannot become incomplete. He will NOT deny or forsake the work of His own hands [Ps. 138:8]. . . . This new nature cannot be forfeited - No, not even by sin: for even this contingency is provided for in 1 John 2:1,2 "If any man sin we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous, and He is (and remains) the propitiation for our sins." . . . . "If any man sin"; What then? In that contingency we are not told what we are, but what Christ is. We are not reminded of what we have done, but what He has done. . . . . We were "sealed" upon believing; and our position and standing before God was secured and assured by the gift of the new nature. The Two Natures in the Child of God; E. W. Bullinger
