Bigot! You're a bigot! I went over and read thru last nights musings on another thread where there are a few homospirituals hanging out and my word....talk about coo coo for cocoa puffs.

To explain Jerseyisms. South Jersey wanted to secede from North Jersey, simply because the state is top heavy -- most folks in Jersey are Exit 7 and above. (BTW, Exits are how we measure the length of the state, because the Jersey Turnpike starts at Exit 1 right off the Delaware Memorial Bridge at the bottom of the state and Exit 18 is the George Washington Bridge into NYC.) Because most folks live up north, they win every single statewide election. Thus Yankees. I'm Southern, but in a Jersey kind of way. We don't even say, "y'all."

(Well, I do sometimes, but only because I also lived in VA for a while.)

I resolved the issue. I moved to Philly. Now I'm stuck with liberalism nonstop, but, at least I wasn't stuck with one of the few politicians that came from the South -- Florio. (Can't win, even when I try. lol)

is homospirituality a learned trait or are people born homospirituals and there is nothing that can be done about it....cuz they just are? Is it nature or nurture? Can a homospiritual be reformed or would they just be living a lie by joining the body of Christ?

I don't think it's either/or, I think its both. However I would put an emphasis on nurture.

Peter, you had me until your last sentence, "highjacked by the extreme right in politics." In case you haven't noticed, its the extreme left that's screwing everything up in politics and with our faith.

There is only one Truth. Our thoughts, opinions and even hopes don't change the Truth. Jesus is God, or He is not. I thank God on bended-knee that our ignorance does not, and can not, change His loving, glorious, eternal Truthfulness. And that Truth, is that Jesus is God!

Um, I remember some big goofs both Bushes made. I also know the top ten pork-barrel spenders even out -- 5 conservatives and 5 liberals. And how many years of Republican Rule have we had since Roe V Wade became the Law of the Land? They could have changed it. You can't blame all evil on any given political party.

Well, we can start by not referring to them as "they." (That just tends to exacerbate the separation.) Then just love "them."

"Them vs. Us" is a sad game to get caught up in.

Can I call "them" "special beans?" (We so need the angelic emoticon on this site. lol)

Now we are getting into predestination stuff. Are homospirituals destined to be sent to hell and being alone here is getting them used to being separated from the body of Christ. Are they predetermined to be apart from God?

You sound like my Mississippi cousins. They were raised by a father and mother who believed "never trust a Yankee."

Of course, that also caused mixed messages, since their mother (Mom's sister) was born in MA and migrated to New York. So, each one of them truly believes you can't trust Yankees and yet each one of them found their spouse in the north. lol

You could have been a Mets fan. If you like winners, you could have been a Yankees fan. You should have been a Phillies phan (simply because we make the best fans.) But... but... ATLANTA!

I'm loathe predestination talk. When I say its both nature and nurture, the nature part has to do with genetic makeup, the good, bad and the ugly. I'm talking DNA wiring, not God making decisions regarding our salvation even prior to our birth. I hate that kind of talk.

Unfortunately, there is an us and them, which scripture speaks of, wheat and tares, false prophets, devils as angels of light. Would agree it's sad to get caught up in, very much, anyway, but it's an ugly reality. People should be careful, and lies should be refuted. There are those who are seriously perverting truth here, though, when it comes to all the repetition, it would be better not to engage it, as there are a few here who are just trolling. As long as there are people to bicker the same, worn bicker with, they will be here, as long they are being fed.

That's what bothers me. They want attention, even if it's negative attention, "yet" get lots of it so keep on going.

I have a little question, I asked you where you get there are two creaiton stories. Please answer my question.

The first story is the 7 days of creation
The second is Adam and Eve

This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created,when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens. Gen 2:4

The focus of the two stories are very different.
No attempt is made to link the two, one is creation in steps , the other is here is a garden, with God, Adam and Eve.
Creation 1 - day 3 vegitation, day 5 sea creatures, day 6 land creatures + man
Creation 2 - No plants yet made, man is created, but he had planted a garden.

Now these are very different perspectives.
