I think there is no way he could have sinned. He fully felt pain and temptation but God cannot sin.
Adam was not born either with a sinful nature yet he chose to sin against God. I understand what u attempting to say but just wanted to mention this.
This is what I was going to say to you. Yeah, Jesus was like Adam. (I think one of his titles is "Second Adam.") He wasn't born with a sin nature, but, unlike Adam, he also didn't sin. He coulda. He didn't.Adam was not born either with a sinful nature yet he chose to sin against God. I understand what u attempting to say but just wanted to mention this.
This verse is not talking about God would chasten Jesus with the rod of man,
if Jesus sinned all would have died in our sins and all been lost.
David succeeded Saul. David sat on the Eternal’s throne. David’s son Solomon succeeded him,
also sitting on the Eternal’s throne.(1 Chronicles 29:23;2 Chronicles 9:8).
2 Samuel 23:1, 5,“Now these be the last words of David."God hath made with me
an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure” 2 Samuel 7:4-5,12-16
12And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee,
which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
13He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.
“Then Solomon sat on the throne of the [Eternal] as king instead of David his father”
David’s throne was set up and established [with Solomon],16)
—was established forever in Solomon (verse 13)
King Solomon built the temple, the house for God
“I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, Thy seed
will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations” (Psalm 89:3-4).
-all generations
What if Solomon, or the children of Israel, disobey? God will chasten them
with the rod of men, but will not break this covenant.
For me Jesus was making a point. Walking without sin is possible, within the constraints of mortality. The answer is communion with the Lord, bowing to His will rather than ones own. And the power which drives this ability, love.
Jesus came to show love, to save people, to build a kingdom. The temptations where about the nature of this relationship.
God provides security. God provides sustenance. God provides power and authority.
Ofcourse Jesus could have sinned, but that would have denied everything He came to do. Why would He sin, it would loose him everything and gain Him nothing. But this only was true if you looked at things from the Fathers perspective rather than being out for a jolly, why not enjoy yourself. Surely the end justifies the means.
If christians dominate the world does that not bring heaven to earth? Look what power did to the church, nothing but grief and torture, heresy, and lostness.
When Jesus lived on earth, yes He could of sinned. But he didn't. Why? because Sin can't enter heaven. Sin has no place in heaven. So if Jesus did sin on earth, he would not be able to go back to heaven when he died on the cross. But yes he could of sinned if he wanted to by his free will. But he didn't and couldn't, and wouldn't. Well think about it? Who is God? Jesus right? Well why would he send his son, to died for our sins, if he was to commit sin himself? that would not defeat his goals to save you or mankind right?Could Jesus have sinned? The bible says he was tempted in all points yet without sin (Heb.4.15) The bible says he lived a sinless. Was it an impossibility for him to sin or could he have sinned given that he was man? Some believe that Jesus could have sinned as he was MAN while others hold the view that he could not have sinned given he was GOD.
Repeatedly, Jesus said he came not to do his Will but the Will of his father (Jn 5.19, 8.28). Does Jesus have a will of his own n so if HE followed his own way would of sinned?
What's your thoughts?![]()

You really should be a little more careful about the way you talk about Christ
lest the hapless day arrives when you are forced to eat your words.

I think there is no way he could have sinned. He fully felt pain and temptation but God cannot sin.
Now you have me thinking . . . and that's dangerous.
Jesus fully felt pain and temptation but could not sin. He felt the temptation which means He understands temptation, thus His loving desire to cleanse us from our weakness.
I'm going to ponder this.![]()
I'm really not sure of this, i think He could sin, just made the choice He would not, so that's why He did fully understand what we've gone true. After all He was fully human to.
I do not understand what the problem is with this. Since scripture expressly tells us he could have sinned that should settle the matter.
If God transcends time and tomorrow is His today....how could He have sinned? This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.
I do not understand what the problem is with this. Since scripture expressly tells us he could have sinned that should settle the matter.
Well, I do not claim to understand all of the ramifications of such a possibility. All I can do is believe what 2 Samuel 7:14 says about it and take solace in the fact that in spite of the possibility he did not sin. As God he could not sin. As man he could have. The text is a Messianic text that is quoted by the Hebrew writer so there is no question that the text is pointing to Jesus.
So i tough it to be true, why not give the verse to help if you know, i'm never to old for learning.
