But is it 'complete'...?
I'll mention elsewhere that the omissions, of at least Enoch, has been a hindrance to modern Christians. We are Ill prepared for Satan's deceptions.
If IF if ....the Bible is complete.... shouldn't it have an explanation or answer for every possible happening?
I can't possibly forget who was responsible for 'designing' Christianity for us. The Roman Catholic Church isn't exactly reliable as an example of a Biblical Christian.....
Although Lilith may be an imaginary horror story told by early Jews, I also can't forget that these Jews were God's chosen. They were/are living prophecy.
Biblical scholars..... Do they study outside of the Bible or how do they come to understand passages without references? For example, yes, Enoch. Enoch is quoted in Scripture. Enoch quotes Scripture. We have books written about someone, and many someones, by someone else, some 500 years later. We call this inspired. Why wouldn't additional accounts be 'acceptable'? We have FOUR Gospels... Isn't it at least PLAUSIBLE that a detailed account of a man swept into Heaven by God Himself, bypassing death (A miracle!!!) would be worth writing about and us knowing.. considering the amount of ammunition Satan has aimed against us?
That book alone, if also 'inspired' would explain this Alien phenomenon. (I'll mention this elsewhere, don't worry bluelady). Christians wouldn't be bothered, they'd be prepared.
Please help me understand why we accept and adhere to a fabricated religion? We know we don't need a priest to ask our Father for forgiveness. And... and they, Catholics, have additional books in their 'Bibles'. Christians changed church into what it is today. Come on. History is NOT 100% accurate anyway. The rituals of church aren't entirely Biblical by the way.
If so much is open to interpretation, why bother with suppressing other possible 'inspired' writings? Ones that explain, spot on, a pretty damn good fantasy. Aliens! How aaawesome.
Enoch has been a hindrance to modern Christians, really? Either way, it's not a problem, because it's not canon. The Bible is complete in what it was written as, a history of the world in relation to God and His love for His creations. A record of perfect relationship, giving way to rebellion, leading back to perfect relationship for those who believe on and trust in Jesus.
Jesus designed biblical Christianity for us.
As for Lilith, she's not a horror story from the early Jews, but a much more recent occurrence in Midrash (rabbinical discussion created to fill in the 'gaps' in Bible). If I remember correctly, Lilith is a relatively modern invention, from the 17th century AD. Yes, the Jews were God's Chosen people, but let's not forget the numerous times they worshipped false gods.
Yes, biblical scholars do generally study the extra-biblical books, not all of them, just the more important culturally interesting ones. But the disgusting fact is that many of these scholars and theologians seem like they set out to disprove the revelation of God and His love, rather than to prove it. Ugh!
As for aliens? Easy. Most of them are hoaxes, fanciful stories, drug trips etc. But some of them are real spiritual activity. Demons coming in the guise of aliens to steer people away from the truth that is Jesus. How do I know this? I've read a number of books, many articles etc. both from the credible and the looney and they all point to several things: Aliens hate the name of Jesus, they have a new gospel and they're all about deception, nothing but deception. Finally, many of the same phenomena have been related to the world of the occult. It's plain as day if you know Jesus.
Lastly, Christians don't adhere to a fabricated religion. Christianity is the only true religion and it's a relationship with the Lord, Saviour and Creator of the universe who wants all people to come to know Him and love Him and find freedom in Him. The only history book we can trust is the Bible, because it's God's Word to us. Written by men who were inspired by Holy Spirit to share His message of Love, Life, Hope to a fallen people.
Instead of freaking out about the authority of the Bible, find some resources that answer your questions how we got the Bible. It's all been heavily documented. There are plenty out there. And stop listening to the atheistic propagandists and biblical scholars/theologians who don't even believe in the Bible, they're just out there to confuse you.
Here's a good detailed start.
