The greatest dissapointment I've ever had to experience in life...was to finally accept that my life is of no value, consequence, or benefit.

I am a 26 year old destitute broken shell of a man, who was NOT impacted in any way shape or form by Christ. A 6 year journey where I have finally reached the end.

There is no physical or spiritual way I can ever expect to succed at this point. I put my faith in Christ, and all I got back was the harsh truth: I will never achieve my dreams. Christ isn't a genie, or a vending machine. He went on a cross, died for mankind's sins, and THAT'S IT. That is all Christ, and Christianity is good for.

I am at a point right now...where there is no hope. Christ CANNOT HEAL. He cannot make your day brighter. He cannot make you feel better. He cannot change lives. He has no power. Anything you can achieve in life, is a product of your own beliefs, positive speech pattern, and efforts. Christ is dead. He died. He took the sins. He was ressurected, and defeated death. Through him, the ONLY thing you gain is salvation from sin.

That's it.

If your life sucks and you cant seem to move forward, oh well.
If you were born into money, and have everything you want, congratulations.
If you like your life, good for you.
If you hate your life, God isn't gonna help you. That's a FACT.

If you want things to change in life, you gotta get up, go out, and make it happen. Some of you are driven to do this. Go forward, knowing God already did what he cared to do.

If you are stuck, and cant seem to move forward, tough luck. God cant help you. Live with it, and give thanks to God for your suffering. It aint gonna get better. God cannot help you make more money. God cannot attract people to help you succeed. God cannot prevent you getting kicked out of your apartment, house, or living space.

If your parents or guardian dies, God will not protect you. You will be left to fend for yourself. You will have no solace. You will have no protection. Maybe you get lucky. It's not a blessing...it's a coincidence.

Dont go to wordly therapy and resources. They cannot help you. Dont count on Church to help you. They cant either.

For some, the world is a death sentence; a prison you have to spend time in. Nothing will ever go good for those who only know failure.

Understand this: If you're a winner, continue winning, and do not stop. If you lose a lot in life, like myself, dont expect it to get better. AND...do not trust that God will help you. He cant help you. If he could, you'd be on your way to a better life.

Scripture may say what it says, but is scripture going to pay off your student debts? Is scripture going to secure your job in life? Is scripture going to build your network and help you advance?

No. Here's the truth folks: Christianity is all about accessing heaven, through Jesus. He is merely a tool for your eternal salvation. He cannot help you, heal you, or care for you. If you think he does, it's a psychological belief on your part, and you should strengthen it.

If you have something to say about this, go ahead. I'm tired, I dont care, and quite honestly, Christianity is slowly dying in my heart. I think most of you who DO claim you know Jesus are either positively convinced, delusional, or coping with pain in your life.

You're either successful or you're not.

If you can prove to me Jesus can change lives, and heal people, then I will reconsider. But THIS is the end for me.

I will begin to look into Witchcraft and pagan arts for the means to change my life. Jesus failed me. I will not take no for an answer.

"Jesus failed you" so now you're turning to satan through witchcraft and pagan arts? Wow.. Read the various testimonies in the Testimony forum. Read the threads in my signature.. Read the praise reports in prayer requests forum of how God helped people.. THEN come back here and tell us whether Jesus failed you or not. I can tell you this FOR A FACT: Satan will not save you. He will destroy you..

Good. I really do hope they will change your mind. God is all-powerful, all-knowing, all everything.. But WE need to be pro-active in our own lives, and assist him in helping us. If we all had the attitude you present in your OP, no one would have any hope of being saved or knowing that God exists. Your journey with God is far from over. :)

So you didn't get your three-wish-genie god, so on to your next magic trick?

Jesus didn't fail you. Nor did you fail him. You have to be with someone to fail that person, but you thought you were with a three-wish-genie god, not Christ.

Poor little boy. Didn't get your three wishes? And it has never occurred to you that you didn't get them for the same reason you didn't get them from Alice in Wonderland? You didn't get them because that's not what any of this about.

So take your bat and ball home, because you never noticed you were on a football field.

You won't take no for an answer? Pffft. You just gave yourself your own No.

Pay attention better. I hope you grow up past the mentality of a 5 year old some day. Then maybe you can look around and see what's really going on.

(I would have cried with you, but you're pity party/temper tantrum was big enough on your own.)

Salvation from sin doesn't come from anywhere else BUT Jesus Christ. There is no other such offer for access into Heaven. Works won't get you there, and neither will witchcraft. It is not wise to turn down your ticket to Heaven. Don't give up on Heaven because of Earth.

You sound like you're coping with some deep pain yourself. But unlike those who have chosen faith, you've chosen to suffer in isolation. I suggest you keep yourself open to help from God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. You don't have to go it alone.

@blue_ladybug: I have read your posts...your heart...your faith in Christ...your faith book....your positive attitude...your courage in the face of adversity...and for that, I can commend you, and feel for you. It was not easy, but it seems your faith has helped you through. I will never take that away from you. If you truly believe Jesus helped you through it, my dear...then AMEN. He has.

@atwhatcost: Funny you mention. My friend, who is ALSO a Christian, said the same thing to me about seeing things like a 5 year old, but less...scathing (the scathing had no effect, btw. I'm immune to harsh criticism, but I appreciate your honesty). At the moment, I am considering the possibility that I never truly knew Jesus Christ, and I had believed in my own personal Jesus which didn't work out. HOWEVER, I am still at a point where I cannot acknowledge Jesus as a healer for my own self. For you, sure. For me, it aint workin.

@multilingualmessenger: Yes. That pain you speak of...I cannot verbalize that pain. It is a pain that is further enflamed by betrayal, dissapointment, failure, fear, terror, defeat, and even death. It's a pain beyond anyone's current imagination. I am being PHYSICALLY affected by what I just shared, and I am in pinpoint perfect health.

I just need you all, and whomever else is reading, to understand something: I gave it a genuine effort. I read scripture. The new testament. The old testament. The history of God's work through the ages. The promise of the gospel of Christ.

As I am now, my dreams have been obliterated. My goals are dried up. My dream seems to be impossible to achieve. God seems to be the obstacle. The irony which BURNS me the most...is that the wealthy people I have met, are ALL CHRIST-LOVING CHRISTIANS. They live by scriptural principle. God blesses them exponentionally, and when I look at what I have, there is nothing to give thanks for.

Others are happy with less, or give thanks to God for overcoming something God handed to them in the first place. That's fine. I will not take that away. For me, I always wanted more. As it is now, God is not a God of "more". He is a God of "my way or the highway". God's will is supreme, and I had a problem with that.

Now, I have surrendered, and I have grown sick, nauseous, and disgusted with my journey. It is the end of my ambitions. It is the end of my dream. God made me, but my life was one where only FAILURE and SUFFERING was attracted to me, and that is all I know.

For anyone who is Christian to tell me he heals and he is mighty, I have no choice but to challenge your statement and belief. I cannot believe you. I cannot take you literally, because I cannot relate to it. I dont deny it, cause I believe that YOU believe God is Good. I just cant say God is good myself. I want more.

I want WAY more in life. I want to be a POWERFUL Christian, with influence, and clout. I want to make big decisions, and command a vast pool of resources and finances to achieve goals and secure financial peace. That does not seem to be the Christian way, and I will say this:

I would trade Jesus for $200,000,000 USD, if given the option.

...perhaps I need to mature. Perhaps...I may have to be foolish enough to keep enduring. What is a man to do...?

Hang in there. Focus on your Creator and not Yourself, then you will achieve that which you desire.

Keep enduring. But with a different mindset. Nobody is entitled to a life of ease; none of us deserve that.

You'd trade Jesus for lots of money? The rich ruler was content with his riches as well, but he was not powerful in Christ. You want to be a powerful Christian, your relationship with Christ needs to be powerful. You don't get a powerful relationship by throwing it away; you stick with Him and work on it. And you'd need to trust in His power, not your own. His strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Humble yourself.

Out of curiosity, do you tithe? Consistently, not just whats in your pocket as the bucket comes by. I mean, do you systematically tithe to the Lord and towards the purposes of spreading His kingdom? I am not sure if you are aware of the many business that have prospered based upon the principle of the tithe, but you should look it up. A lot of companies you're familiar with actually practiced the tithe and prospered because of it.

Besides that point, of sowing and reaping, I would also call your attention to the fact that you understand that according to the Word, God does bless His people. You even mentioned knowing personally people who have experienced such favor in their finances. It would behoove you to inquire as to their giving, as you will see such Christians honor the Source of their blessings. They will prosper but they will not forget the one who prospers them.

Ecclesiastes 5:19King James Version (KJV)

19 Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.

Funrider, I just went to your profile and noted that your favorite verses are Ephesians 6:10-18. These verses speak of putting on the whole armor of God in order to withstand the enemies' fiery darts. The enemy is Satan. And you want to start practicing his craft? Satan won't help you be important, rich and influential. Your power as a christian comes ONLY from God. You seem to have taken off your armor and allowed the enemy to penetrate you with his lies and doubts.

If you truly believe that you might never have really known Jesus, then take steps NOW to fix that. Cry out to him, get on your knees and pour out your heart to Him!! Ask Him to show you that He CAN heal you and that He IS there for you. You are a christian, and no matter what you do, or how badly you mess up, you CANNOT get UNsaved. Once Jesus has saved you, that's it. You're saved for life. :) And if you're not sure if you are saved or not, then ask him to show you.

You don't need to be wealthy to be a powerful christian. Your power as a christian lies in believing in Jesus, and that you can do ALL THINGS THROUGH HIM.. :) You have more wealth than you will ever even know. You have Jesus and He is beyond any monetary measure.. Money runs out eventually, but Jesus never does.. Please don't give up on your journey with God.. He loves you so much more than you can ever realize. Do what another poster suggested. Change your mindset from wanting money, power and prestige, to wanting more of Christ and HIS power, and peace, and happiness.. :)

I think so too.

You are more than welcome to PM me to talk, to vent, to wax philosophical, etc. I don't think I'm wise enough to instruct you, but I'm patient enough to offer an ear.

Jesus certainly didn't fail you. It is quite sad that you feel that you are washed up at 26 years old. Witchcraft and pagan arts are evil and are to be avoided. If you think that your life is messed up right now just start dabbing into that garbage and these will seem like the good old days. You are right in saying that you are either successful or not. I guess that you are just another 'victim'. You need to quiet down and start ingesting the Word of God. I have said a prayer for you. You have a chance to be successful if you have the courage to accept Jesus into your heart and let Him guide you out of the rut that you are in.

Sometimes we blame everything on God, when it is us who separated from him. We cant serve two masters and expect to be blessed. That is the reality check.

Funrider, thanks for your honesty. Although it seems counter-intuitive, it was never God's promise to fulfill your dreams and desires. Rather, He encourages us to lay down our own agendas and to be filled with Him. So be thankful that your dreams aren't being fulfilled; that means God is at work. Even in the midst of this painful disillusionment, He is at work, bringing you not to the end of Him, but to the end of yourself, and that is good. God's ways are not our ways. Only by surrendering your life completely to His care will you find true success anyway. There is no hope outside Christ.

It is human nature to seek PROOF of GOD, however turning your back because you personally do not see a MIRACLE in your life isn't the proper course. NO WHERE in the bible does it say as a Christian your life will be Magnificent and perfect. In fact we go through many trials as Christians and I will personally tell you if I did not have GOD in my life that I would have curled in a ball and just let Satan take control. However I have GOD, I feel his grace, power, mercy, love, forgiveness and desire for me to be the best I can be. If you want PROOF...here is one from my life. My sister had a brain aneurysm 2 years ago, they told me she would not survive. That less than 2% survive and if they do they are a just a body breathing. Well she not only survived...the day she left Mayo every DR came in and told her it was "God's Miracle." and wished her luck. A year later and physical therapy, she is fully functioning as if nothing has happened. That's just one miracle in my life that God has given my family. He is real, do not allow Satan to fuel you with hate and disregard God. That is his goal and I have seen him conquer many people by planting little seeds of doubt here there and every where and then by giving temptations to allure you away. I will add you to my prayers.
