I did not forget what I said and again you are reading into what I said and making it out to be more then that.
In my statements you highlighted was not judging or condemning people who go to bible college or Seminary school.
It was calling those out for their attitude and treatment of others who haven't gone to them !!!
Again please read careful what I say or have said, ask questions before making blatant false accusations, and understand just because you feel something worked for you does not mean it is needed or applies in all cases.
As others who have not taken the same route as you does not make them uneducated as you applied !!!
Like I said before I know ministers who never went to either bible college or Seminary school, and yet still have over 25+ years of study under their belt and can bible thump everybody on here including me and make us look like we just began studying even though we have many years as well of study under us.
I have 6 years under me in the ministry, and a combined 24 years of study with 14 years of those coming from a Baptist background in study classes..........
Since not only me, but quite a few other people truly believe that you were condemning those who have been to Seminary, which was quite clear in the last post of mine where I brought back the first post where you said you do not believe people who go to Seminary "know everything?" Perhaps, rather than being misinterpreted, you actually were highly unclear in your statement?
And I certainly do not know one person who went to Seminary that would ever claim that they know everything. However, I do defend my theology using the Bible, and that includes to angry, nasty people who rant and rail and really don't use the bible to defend their beliefs. And I do not know one person who went to Seminary that thinks they are "better than" people that don't. Not everyone is called to Seminary, and not everyone has the ability to stick it out through the very hard grind of learning, studying, and probably working a job as well as already being a bi-vocational pastor, (with young kids) as most of the people I went to Seminary were. I had it easy compared to most of my fellow classmates.
Rather than being so defensive about what everyone posts, but not seeing the way your words appear to others, it is time to take the log out of your own eye?
Your posts towards me are in attack mode in this thread. I have tried to be patient with you, but I get accused of making
"blatant false accusations."
God wants us to stop pointing fingers, and do the work he has called us to do. In my case, I am a teacher. I am a teacher by upbringing (my father was a teacher), by training - (I was a school teacher for 28 years) and by calling (I have always taught in the church!)
I try and teach in this forum, offer comfort in other forums and sometimes have fun, like in SYM or in Misc. I do admit, I resent people who constantly tell me I am wrong, but post no sources, no links, or even Scriptures (not talking about you, necessarily, Kenneth!)
This entire forum would be so much better off if people would stop the personal attacks, the defensiveness and actually discuss the topic of the OP. Using Scriptures, books, links or whatever.
But I am not going to go with "God told ME, so!" Esp. when what that person says denies what is in the Bible (just speaking generally!) or twists Scriptures to conform to their doctrines, rather than using the Bible to form doctrines from.
