I went to the store to buy Real coffee, and I got all excited because they had French Market, which is what I remember my mom buying when I was a kid. So, in a fit of nostalgia, I grabbed a can of it, and this morning I made a cup and added milk and sugar (the way my mom used to). But the color was...off. It was still super dark, a weird and nasty mud color. But, I took a sip anyway, because caffeine.

And I promptly coughed it out into the sink.

I glared at the can of coffee before deciding to take a closer look at it. Apparently I bought coffee and chicory, instead of the French roast I assumed it was. And then I brewed it at twice (or more) the recommended strength.

I made a new cup, only using half the amount I used the first time. It's....drinkable.

At least the decaf tasted good.

Ooooh MissCris. If I could send my cup of coffee in the mail to you I would. XD It's half-caff, but it'd work a little better than decaf :p

Can you get banned for calling someone a jerk? I hope not.

*sigh*

I shouldn't have gotten angry.

I should have stuck with my original plan for the afternoon and just looked up info about Disneyland (I've always wanted to go to their "Haunted Mansion Holiday") while doing laundry.

I know most people will groan, but theme parks make me happy! :p

Maybe I can convince my Mummy to do my laundry for me... (I have a feeling she'd laugh in my face...)

If theme parks make you happy then you would definitely love Orlando. I have been to the Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World many times. Along the way you pick up a hitchhiking ghost that sits beside you the rest of your tour.

I am very blessed to have been to several theme parks throughout my life, including the ones in Orlando :) (Disney and Universal.)

But, I NEVER get tired of them and hope I can still keep going on the biggest, tallest, scariest rides (such as at Cedar Point, OH) until my dying day. :)

Cedar Point is the best for rollercoasters and I have been to Sandusky many times. Of course, I'm getting higher in numbers now so it might not be such a good idea to go back again. Even though its the oldest I still think that the Blue Streak is the best.

I don't want this to sound critical of you and your family, but I don't know if it can be said gently...

You seem to have an exaggerated sense of responsibility in this. As the deed-holder to the house, who agreed to have pets, your dad should be the one to ensure that the pet smell is gone. If professional cleaning is required, then so be it. That is better than marking the house down. Yes, other family members are expected to help, but to put so much pressure on one who is barely into adulthood and should be focusing on college choices and majors instead...no. It looks as if he is blind to the anxiety this situation is causing you. I am sorry to hear that. I am praying that all of you can come to your senses and that you will be able to find some rest.

3 hours of sleep isn't enough time. But, that's okay. I won't feel like an artist if I don't suffer for my work.

As'if. :p

There's a 300 year old (or maybe more like 92, it's hard to tell) widow who lives on the next street over from me, and she puts on those white old people shoes, those denim old people shorts, a pair of huge sunglasses, and a visor, and she walks exactly four blocks every afternoon.

I was out in the front yard, despairing over the flowers I killed, when she passed by today. She came up to the fence and said hello, asked about my kids (she made a quilt for my daughter), and then she said, "And cheer up! You can always kill those flowers again next year! Life is good for giving folks plentya opportunity to ruin things, I say do it! Mess it all up, and mess it up again! People get too cotton pickin' mad about mistakes. I've killed hundreds of flowers in my day, and I'd kill some more if I could bend over to plant 'em."

So I offered to come over and plant some bulbs for her, but she laughed and told me, "I don't want to still be on this old earth come spring time, so you just worry about your own flowers. Enjoy them, even if they croak."

What a weirdly inspirational conversation.
