71% of the federal budget is entitlement spending and servicing the debt. Military spending is not the problem. At least one Presidential candidate said if we go into the Middle East to defend people, we should leave with enough oil to cover the cost.

True, we can't afford the entitlements either. And you're darn tootin' them oil rich arabs we are defending should pony up for the bill... including compensating and taking care of our lost and wounded.

I hate to get technical here, but the word "but" in the first sentence really should be set aside in quotation marks, in order that the sentence makes sense. The word "but" is an example, and does not in this case introduce a subordinate clause and is not part of the sentence, but the part you are quoting from the previous post.

Which means it would take about 36 years at current conditions without accounting for rebuilding the oil fields after Trump blows them up just to get the oil to cover the cost of the Iraq War 2003-2012. The U.S. uses about 20,000,000 barrels of oil per day. That's what, a little over 7 billion barrels of oil per year. Being able to take 1 billion barrels a year from Iraq seems like a practical solution to reducing the cost of killing terrorists in Iraq and rebuilding Iraq and training them to police their own country. Or, do nothing, and be spectators. Where will that lead? We know it ultimately leads to attacks on Israel. We also know that we won't prevent Armageddon no matter how much our military does to kill terrorists. It's written that it will happen and it will happen. So what is the best course of action? Once they come here and begin blowing up buses and subway trains and walking into theaters and killing people, folks will change the way they live. I met a vet yesterday. He served in Lebanon and in Granada. He and his wife are living out of a hotel. They visited the local VA Hospital, asking for help. I helped carry some dog food to their room and saw six children squeezed in there. Outside, in a trailer behind their U-Haul truck, there were ten service dogs he is hoping to train for wounded vets. He didn't have money for dog food. It's just so sad. My wife and I wanted to cry. Some locals have donated clothes and food. There are many more retired service members like him who need help.

Muslims have never been the problem. The problem is a simple step of logic.

God spoke to Muhammed. Muhammed showed the way. To deny this fact is apostacy or blasphemy. An apostate or blasphemer should die.

If you can reduce life down to these four steps, then you become a radical.
Problem is God did not speak to Muhammed, Muhammed showed a violent, agressive approach to faith, people are not apostate or blasphemous for disagreeing with Muhammed and killing for apostacy or blasphemy is murder.

The problem is most muslims agree with steps one and two so are half way there. A large number ascent to step 3 and agree with step 4 if someone else does it.

I have found it odd when talking to muslims how much love and empathy do not come into the conversation, just submission and slavery. The whole ediface survives on one issue, sin. In Muhammeds mind the wrong religion caused sin, and being a good muslim makes you acceptable or sinless. Trouble is morality is not their high point, just appearing to be ok. Pro-islam ok, anti-islam bad.

It is little wonder therefore justice has a hard time, or anything that talks about caring for people.
