I really don't understand the fuss over Oreos. I've tried a few different Oreo kinds over the years (to give them a fair chance) and found them rather boring. They were overly sweet and had a very, very processed aftertaste. Give me a Tim Tam any day.

I actually don't like oreos (too hard and dry) either unless they are mixed with cream cheese and made into oreo balls...then they're heavenly!

I get annoyed when the commercials call them America's favorite cookie...yeah right! That place belongs to homemade chocolate chips cookies! Sorry that's just the baker in me. ;)

This is an accurate assessment. Unfortunately many people here have become so accustomed to the processed taste that they consider real food to be weird.

I only WISH I were joking. They actually prefer gummy, floppy, spongy white bread, anemic instant pudding and (heaven help us) FAST FOOD BURGERS over real food! Can you imagine anybody who actually likes instant pudding and thinks homemade pudding is weird?!

Agreed. Once you've had a real cookie, you never go back to Oreos. :S

What really ruined them for me is that we had snack time back in like first grade, and this girl, I won't name any names, but let's call her Jacqueline, because that's what her name was lol... anyway, it was her turn to bring snacks that day, and I guess her mom brought them in the afternoon. Well, they were warm and even in first grade, I remember thinking, this isn't right; Oreos aren't supposed to be warm XD I don't know why they were like that, but I threw mine away and to this day I'm not a fan of Oreos. :/

Those biscuits look delicious, Molly! Yes, please. And you're right. Oreos are very dry.

Thanks, Lynx for empathising with me. ;)

Even when a 14-year-old girl fly from Indonesia to your house and appears in front of the door with those adorable puppy eyes to ask for a little bit of your chocolate?

If anybody flew that far for a bit of chocolate, I wouldn't have chocolate good enough to be worth the trip. I don't think they even make chocolate good enough to be worth that much travel.

Dark-chocolate covered cherries, but with the clear syrup, and only the brand that sounds like a stringed insrument. Also Dark-chocolate covered raspberry gels from Boscov's. I like variety, though, many chocolates, like gifts from God above ♡. I'm thinking of something else like that, too, beautiful in their own way, gifts from God above. ♡

Why the expression, 'Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get' ?
A decent box of chocolates has what's in it written in the lid,
or somewhere on the package at least, so we really CAN
get an idea of what we're gonna get, if we read carefully.
Life is like that, too, God gave us His Word,
so we can have an idea of what we're gonna get.
And again, what a wonderful assortment. ♡

Well home made is always best, even home made soft Oreos...nom...however you need time to bake, that's why I think it's America's Favorite cookie as of all you can buy, Oreos is the best commercial cookie and the most bought cookie.
