knowing this:

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language
(Genesis 11:7)

why should i believe that human translation between tongues perfectly preserves every nuance and meaning?

i thank God, whose glory it is to conceal matters, for the gift of His spirit, who reveals things & teaches understanding!
When did God say that? Build a timeline. He wrote that in Genesis 11. Genesis was given to us by Moses which was after the confounding. I'm assuming that God gave Moses the first five books so the Bible has been un-confounded since Moses.

Oh my, what ever did Christians do before the KJV? Are any saved?
They had the word of God in the Byzantine manuscripts as well as ones that weren't corrupted.

If KJV is not inspired then which and where is Word of God? Modern Versions would not fit also into this category since they too are translations. Then again, if it is not inspired, how can it have been used to bring million to Christ? I agree, if salvation is under discussion, I believe it can also be found even in a Bible tracts or the meanest version we have out there in every bookshelf, bookstores, library, hospitals etc., but the issue is not salvation, it is the Word of God. KJV, I believe is not only translation but it “…is given by the inspiration of God…” 2 Timothy 3:16

Did his diploma come from a diploma mill?
Don't listen James White, he's a bald face liar and doesn't know anything abouut God or the bible. All his arguments against the KJV are ridiculously stupid.... just like the argument seen on this thread.

Let me ask you, did you discover this so called difference on your own, or did you find it from some one else trying to prove the KJV wrong?
Of course he didn't find it own his own these people go to heretics website to find ammo against the KJV. The funny thing is that these people throw up all over the KJV using the word spider instead of lizard and yet they they has absolutely no problem the new translataions calling Jesus a son of the gods or calling the devil the morning star.

Friend, for your own sake, please read James White's book, The King James Only Controversy.

Also read Galatians 5. Your fruit is showing.
I watched 30 minutes of a James White video years ago and saw he knows nothing about God, the bible nor Christianity. I'm certainly not going to waste my time reading the liars book. I have not seen an argument from James White yet that is not easily refuted.... You're not the only James White cultist I've dealt with. Hey here's a novel idea, post one of his lies up and we can discuss it.

And yes I am exhibiting my fruit... faith in God's holy word.

I see the shift in argument has turned again, I have yet to see a single fact to indicate that the King James is the final perfect English version, just interpretation and claims that can not be backed up.

Innocent until proven guilty. It has never been proven that it contains errors. Agitators have tried through the years unsuccessfully. Men don't want to submit authority. They always want to have the upper hand on what God has said.

He speaks to people in all their languages depending on where they are in the world, God is not held to just one English language !!!

Also the Holy Spirit lead me in studies to the original Hebrew and Greek to understand the context in what is said in the verses. So your understanding that we don't need the Hebrew and Greek is a little flawed !!!

The only part I would agree with you on is that the Hebrew and Greek do have multiple definitions and how they are used, some of which are false added on definitions.

Example: "diakonos"

The original Greek definition meant only a minister, but servant in the 4th century and other offices of the church were added on over years.

The Catholic church made this change to hide the fact that women were apostles to !!!

KJV is one of the most accurate versions, but it still has it's own translation issues to, and only one who is blind would ignore that !!!
You prove my point exactly, a woman is not to teach nor usurp authority over a man. You reject the plain and simple English words and go to the Greek so you can change the word meaning to fit your religion. You have no credibility in my book... you reject truth.

Where did you get your English definitions? Are your definitions inspired? Or did they come from fallible man?

I didn't see a dictionary with the KJV.

If you were my child and every time I touched something cold and said ,"ouch that is HOT." What would your definition of cold be?
How many times have you seen a KJV believer say " a falling away first" doesn't really mean falling away, falling really means to be caught up. You know exactly what I'm talking about, people don't like what the bible says so they use Greek and Hebrew to mold the word into their image.

"God is not to be sought after by means of letters, syllables, and numbers."Against Hereisies 2.25, AD 177

(Kindle Ebook) 3%, Location 450, Ancient Prophecies Revealed, Ken Johnson, Th.D.

Our Church Father, Irenaeus spoke out against Bible codes.
Wow... are you telling me the number 7 doesn't really mean completion or perfection. I thought creation was completed in 7 days for a reason.

Does the number 9 not represent fruit bearing? If not then why are there 9 FRUITS of the spirit talked about in the 9th book of the New Testament.

Im sorry but Igneranaeus obviously didn't know God's writting style... he uses numbers to represent things throughout the bible.

OK, now what is the bottom line here? I mean is this thread just about KJV onliests, or is the thread simply anti-KJV?

Anyone who knows Jesus Christ is Lord knows this by the Holy Spirit, and all will agree that any version of the Word commonly accepted, which is almost all of them, is just fine as long as the Holy Spirit gives the dead text life for the reader.

So, what's the beef?

That's simply not true. Either the KJV or the other versions are adding to or taking away from the word of God. What does God warn about this? The world thinks we are a bunch of fools. If Christians had one book as our authority, at least we have something to be united on against all matters of this world. Do you honestly think God is ok with the different versions of His word, holding different truths?

Should we have open minds to all versions? Whose to say what version can be trusted and which can't? Man, right? How does God view those who are against His word?

Your mind is closed, and your arrogance is despicable.

Have you never read that to those who do not believe consider the Good News, the Gospel that is, as foolishness.

Why would any believer concern himself with what the world believes.

The due of a believer is to shine his light for all to see, to bring others to the light attracting them with the love of God.

No one who is sure in his belief of the Gospel is in the least bit concerned with what version of Christ's Word is being used to give growth to the saved soul.

The devil has tossed in a red herring.............ignore it.

If I'm studying the life of David in 2 Samuel and I come to the part in 2 Samuel 21:19 where Elhanan killed Goliath, what am I to think? I had read earlier where David killed Goliath? If the word contradicts itself, why read it?

If I want to grow in Christ, I need the right words to let the Holy Spirit guide me to the truth behind those words.

Should we have open minds to all versions?
In a word, YES. You should be open to read and study a more "readable" text than Elizabethan English. If you find an error, you should honestly decide if it is an issue of salvation... come on, sending out 70 or 72? Don't be silly. A true biblical scholar is one who reads and compares several different versions, as God's truth is there. Sticking your fingers in your ears and going "lalalalalalalalalala, I can't HEAR you" is a childish way to approach study. I'm still waiting to see ANY evidence at all that the KJV is the one that Jesus told us to use. You are picking at nits, because, as someone stated above, your mind is closed. "Don't confuse me with facts, my mind is made up".... Please, use the KJV only, if that is your belief, but don't try to bind that same narrow-minded belief on all other believers.

sorry.... I said I was through with this discussion. Couldn't help myself.

Where are you getting your misinformation? Of course there have been some deliberately changed writings calling themselves bibles, but those are so obvious...

Why do you attempt to lead others down the deceitful trail of bogus versions which are known to all? Discredited is discredited, but almost all versions of the Word are just fine for anyone who is saved to read.

Please do not drage in the discredited, and please do not give any one version more credit than another because I can guarantee you there are errors in each, errors that do not change the message of Jesus Christ. Do not attempt to confuse brethren who may be weak in th efaith.
