Ok y'all.. I ain't been here long but everybody just stop. There are really some good folks in here but the way some of y'all go at each other... C'mon now.. I probably ain't nobody to be saying anything cause I just got here and I will agree I am not as learned as probably a lot of folks on this site.. But on this one thread folks gonna come in here and just stay humble.. This is we all Love God... We know what he is all about.. We know he sent his son Jesus and he's coming back.. He sent the Holy Spirit to help out cause can't none of us do it ourselves.. And we know he's coming back, but do we want him to come back to this kind of arguing? We all have our strong opinions, but in here it's only about the stuff I said and that's it. Y'all come in here and just say how much you love God and see how y'all been doing, maybe even unload a little.. There's a Marshall in here... I've got a loaded tater gun..and I AIN'T afraid to use it......
You use your tater gun good sir, and throw some creamed mash my way, LOL. I agree with you, on points of study where wisdom is called for I will add my piece and I trust the Lord to use my faith as He wants to.
Calling out others who say they believe and may be show a different path to ourselves is not what Jesus is about. If you truly believe all that Jesus says then why do we question what the Holy Spirit has a right to do? Whose Church is it anyway?
Without our help, God made all things and through His Word (the one made flesh) He keeps all things together, just look through a telescope at the night sky, we may not be able to name the stars there are so many but God can, every single one, and all the planetary objects that swirl and move with them all which the Hubble hasn't picked up on yet, and we sit here on the pinnacle of Gods creation and try to improve our neighbours lot with innuendo's and arguments when our Lord said;
John 14:2
My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I
am going there to
prepare a place for you?
All we are told to do over and over and over is to "love one another", Yes if we see something "worthy of death" then there are ways to go about sorting that out, these unfortunately are to often overlooked.
The upshot is, the Church belongs to Jesus, it is His, He built it, He upholds it, He is the chief cornerstone and if you don't let Him have free reign with His own Church, then all we build is dross. We are supposed to look to Him, and as the "author and finisher" of our faith that is all we need to do, Look to Jesus. His shoulders are big enough to handle any burden put upon His Church, should He want a hand we are only called upon to love others as He loved us, even those who are not of the faith because Christ died for us in the same situation, that while we were yet sinners He took up His cross and was fixed to it by nails and bled out for us so we could find a way to Him while we were filthy and undeserving of such a sacrifice.
And that my brothers and sisters is how we are called on to love those around us, not just those who sit in the same room as you in church.
We above all have this;
[SUP]20 [/SUP]“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, [SUP]21 [/SUP]that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. [SUP]22 [/SUP]I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— [SUP]23 [/SUP]I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
