And it's funny because I was wondering what happened to Descyple the other day. Maybe he's married to his CC lady love by now... (No, this isn't gossip. It's written right in their profiles, and they were very open about their relationship as it was becoming one way back in the day.)

For all of you who were wondering... No, this technically isn't a dating site. It's just a site where dozens of couples like this meet, fall in love, and hopefully ride off into the sunset.

So I'm curious, what do you think of Batman?

I've always drawn a lot of heat because I've always said Batman is just a rich boy in a cape... and that his only superpower is having the money to buy fancy gadgets. Not that being super rich and using it to fight crime is wrong at all, but I guess I never saw what the big deal was about him because he certainly doesn't have any super powers.

(That, and I've always been a Spidey/Superman girl at heart, because everyone knows that in order to be a real superhero, you have to have been born on another planet or have gone through some horrible accident that gives you abnormal powers.) :p

I would have to specify a certain Batman before I could give an opinion on him. There are different versions. For the record I think the latest Batman movies suck rotten eggs. They go for gritty, dark story and turn Batman into basically a psycho who finds beneficial ways of expressing his psychoses. Kinda like Dexter - remember that show?

The original live action show Batman was of course cheesy, as were all of those shows at the time. The first Batman movie had a decent Batman. The Batman in the Justice League cartoon my brother was always watching was a bit too brooding and moody for my taste.

I think the best portrayal of Batman as he should be was in Batman: The Animated Series. He was more than a rich guy with gadgets fighting bad guys. He was doing a job that needed to be done. He saw being Batman as a responsibility, a service he was doing for the city he loved. Sure he used fear as a weapon, but it was always a means to an end, never an end to itself.

In every iteration of Hawkeye I have ever seen, he is just a guy shooting trick arrows. Can't even begin to compare to any Batman except maybe the very first cheesy one.
 
I think singles tonight should celebrate 'Ex Valentines Day' lol

Then I can call up that guy I was in love with in 2003 that destroyed my heart and tell him I should get a chocolate lol
