I would say this, If there's one scripture we should know about his color or looks its this.

Isaiah 53:2
For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him.

as for the spirit (shineyourlight) was spot on :)

I know he's portrayed as being white in art and movies, but was he really white? Or was he Arab like some say?

He had to have came as the king of the Jews, the descendant of Abraham. God at the time had made a covenant with the seeds of Abraham, but now He has fulfilled that promised of the flesh, and so now He made another for only those whom hunger and thirst for righteousness; the ones that has a spirit that is like the kind Abraham has..

Ok, a post modern Jesus. As a matter of fact that's exactly what people do today...make Jesus in their image instead of how Scripture presents Him.

You got my respect sir
I remember getting lost up at Lake Michigan when I was three. The lifeguards took me to a waiting room where we got to ride tricycles... I was disappointed when my parents showed up to claim me :p

Look at the nationality He came from, and look at the distance He lived from the equator. The closer one's ancestors lived to the equator, the darker their skin. The further away one's ancestors lived, the lighter their skin. Christ's ancestor King David was a handsome man with dark skin, but it might have been a tan from being out watching the sheep so much. Jesus was purposely unbecoming so that no one would desire Him. He did not have long hair. He definitely did not look like the pictures people have of Him.

Nonsense. That's Christian Identity crap, isn't it? Or is that British Israelism? Either way, it's nonsense (save for your first sentence).
no that is in the bible

“The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.”
Asshur was a son of Shem, the father of the white racial strain
Genesis 10:22

—those of fair skin and lighter hair.

Notice that Arphaxad is listed in this verse as the third son of Shem.

Now read Genesis 11:10: “These are the generations of Shem:
Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood.”

Neither of Shem’s first two sons, Elam or Asshur, are mentioned!
That’s because they were rejected as the heirs of Shem’s inheritance.

2 Cor. 5:16 :" 16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more".
