There's a very thin line between "flirting", "stalking", and harassment between customers and employees. And if it's unwanted, it should always be viewed as harassment/wrongdoing.

I've worked in several stores where men (especially older) harass and have even proposed to pay our younger female employees for sex.

Some will say something like, "Hey, I could use someone to (rake leaves, do chores at my house, etc.)", and once they get a phone number, it becomes clear what they're really after.

And if someone says they're a "doctor", "lawyer", "dentist", etc. and are "looking for a secretary for their office" if you'll only "meet him for an interview", run like the hills. I've known a couple girls who fell for this but luckily, escaped unharmed.

Management (in my 24 years of observation) does nothing to protect employees from this kind of abuse, as it's all about catering to customers and bringing in the dollars, even at a small-town grocery store. (Sometimes the smaller stores are the worst, because they're doing everything they can in order to survive when competing against Walmart.)
Hey Kim, I need someone to clear the exhaust vent in my roof.. (no really I do!)

I've never had patients flirt with me.

On another note, I got my hair did and I likes it :D
Ive had a few patients flirt with me... But that's only cause I'm a clerk at the back who also happens to work up front from time to time and helps check the patients out. I don't mind being flirted with cause it doesn't happen every day. But I can see it getting very old and obnoxious if it DID happen every single day..

Management at the store I worked at kicked someone out for that reason....well technically, I had to make sure the creepy guy left because I was the only person he was afraid of.....That poor female wouldn't leave the store without me that night because she was afraid he would be out there

That happened to me only one time... And it was my first time to close the store... And omg, it was dark... Creepy.. And well after midnight by the time we left. I'm so glad I don't work there anymore. And I only shop at that store during the day. Creepy dudes hiding in creepy places... No Bueno man... :(

I have this guy in the same degree program that I am in and so we have several of the same classes and are in the same study group. Something about this man always makes me feel uncomfortable, he's never touched me or anything but always seems to want to talk to me when I am alone. I'm trying to be responsible by not to putting myself in a position of being alone with him. Last week, he offered to take me home. I thanked him for the offer, but said that I would be okay driving home. Now....a lot could be said for his actions like he's being polite and sweet, but usually my gut instincts are right about people so I trust it everytime I can, plus he is pushing sixty which makes it a little more uncomfortable.

I liked working until closing.....but I always tried to avoid parking near the wooded area....I was typically one of the last ones out and one halloween I could tell someone was hiding out there....I was parked right next to the edge of the woods...never doing that again unless I absolutely have to...

that looks like an animal....what did you stuff a rabbit in there?
Lol I have no idea what that is, but here's a true story.. one time our dryer had a bad smell coming from it and I kept telling my parents that it smelled like a dead animal bu they didn't believe me. So they called a dryer technician to look at it and sure enough he found a big rat that had crawled into the vent and had been dead for some time.. He was nice enough to get rid of it without charging extra and he said he's seen bigger ones get stuck in there.

I've had store assistants and cashiers hit on me when I walked into some stores. Usually, I smile politely and sometimes I strike a conversation. That's about it.

When I was a greeter at the bank I had older men flirting with me all the time. It was VERY uncomfortable. Most of these guys were married or 20 years older than me.

So I went on a date...did I even do it right? We both had fun, so I guess so. But, so many questions:

When you have a date that is a little on the extravagant side...how do you follow up? What's next?

How many dates do you go on until you decide you are "in a relationship?"

We're not supposed to fraternize because I am management and she is not - so we are "sneaking around." Is this wrong?...because it's kind of fun.

Is it weird that she is nine years older? That's the same age as my step-monster.

*sigh* Maybe I am overthinking things and should just have fun.

So I went away feeling.....

Definitely relax and have fun!

I'm definitely no expert, but if you had an extravagant date the first time, maybe make the second one really casual. If you went to a fancy restaurant on the first date, then next perhaps take her hiking or on a picnic or something so it's different and isn't trying to "compete" for extravagance. Or... karaoke... Yeah. Do that. ^_^

Be careful, girly!

I am on the email list of Ken Davis, and this morning I got notification about this post:

How to Find Good Friends in a World of Fans | Ken Davis

It has been floating around in my head the rest of the day.
I've never had a lot of friends, but I'm not friendless. I try my hardest to be a good friend to others. That being said, I believe that over the years, I've had a lot of fans, that I wouldn't categorize as friends. I think fans come easier. I wonder what that says about me.
At what point is exerting effort at being a friend lost on those that are only fans pointless?

Well, I found a new webcomic (not really, it's been around for 12 years, but it's new to me...) that I'ma perusing. I also discovered a new Dub/Chillstep-group (this one actually quite recent...like...2-3 years recent...) that I've been listening to, so that's new and somewhat fun...though not necessarily exciting.

I keep...feeling like...if I wanted to, all these...comics and anime and...music groups...and whatnot... I mean... I could do that. Seriously... from basic production level (which I'm already familiar with audio/visual sound recording for music, videos, and the like...) to the script writing to the voice acting... It would be a huge investment, but I totally have both the will and ability to produce mediocre level work...

All I lack is a cast (because I can't do all the voices), and an animator (because my skills there are definitely sub-Par), and the time/money it would take...with included dedication from all those I'd have to get involved...

*sigh* Yeah... it seems easy until you start factoring all those things in...

Maybe there are existing groups that are willing to pick up a spare team member which can be useful in multiple roles? Idk...

Honestly, I just have all these untapped abilities that I'm slowly losing because..."Use it or lose it!"... so... I feel like I should be spending my time and talents on something better than playing video games and watching various forms of media... =/ You know?
