I have zero clues on how to flirt, or tell if I am being flirted with. Can some one help me.
How to know if you're being flirted with- if they're talking to you, and they're cute, they're probably flirting

This brings up an interesting side note to flirting: the perception of the recipient. I don't want to pick on Vens, but I have noticed that, in very generalized terms, people tend to perceive flirting from others whom they find attractive as pleasant, but flirting from others whom they don't find attractive as creepy.

Anyone care to weigh in on this?

Creepy now is only when it's not decent, doesn't matter how he looks. But when I was younger yeah those older guys that would flirt with all those 20 some year olds, eeeeww, except for my ex because he looked young and good lol and was also 12 years older. Also he didn't flirt. Only creeps flirt in Holland.

I have seen and experienced this first hand. I admit I am not the best looking guy in the world, and in the past my clumsy efforts at flirting upset the girl I was trying to flirt with.

I got a clear example last night and today of how not to flirt. I was told that because I have no money I will never have a long-term relationship ans that I have nothing to offer a girl.
25 years ago someone told a friend of mine he'd never amount to anything. With that, he hit the gym 6-7 times a week for two years, study hard, then joined the Marines. Today he is a Lt. Colonel. Semper Fi.

Alternative suggestion: be yourself.

In that process, be honest and genuine.

Use your brain and show your intelligence. Demonstrate that you can have an intelligent conversation and that you are interested in her intellect/feelings/thoughts/ideas.

As you get to know a woman, you'll begin to understand her personality and character and will know what she enjoys/appreciates and flirting will become not only easy, but fun and exciting.

:)
I'm doing that right now with my crush, except for that whole intelligent thingy.

Good question. Brings to light people's prejudices.

There you are! Good to see you, brother. We have a good brother here, Brother Batman, and he's seeking some advice. Keep him lifted in prayer and teach him how cowboys Rock America.

Lol..... You are my soul brother without a doubt...... Batman ain't no better man on here than this fella right here... With Utah at your back you can't go wrong.......... Ever...... Prayer no problem.......... As far as advice..... I don't know how good it would be......... But be yourself....... Don't say the hard words unless you truly mean them.... The hard words; love, affection, heart, truth,...... Say what's in your heart but be careful not to give it.... Some people don't understand when you do and then they rip it to shreads...... Remember the person your talking to is always a lady.... ((it better be a lady))...... Don't be the average guy...... Cows boys for example, we're kinda out there, always want to do something to touch a gala heart and leave a lasting impression.... Remember its never about you, it's always about them..... It's not what you think they might like..... Stop.. Listen to their words.... That's how it should be.......

Well that's ok...... See, some gals would appreciate finding a prize like that...... It ain't over..... Think of it this way..... Now you get to show her how special that prize is and what it means....... They may "see" what they got but it's up to you to "show" them what they got...... And if sheeans that much to you it should happen without you even havin to think about it..... It just...... Feels natural...... Your gonna be fine little brother... If Utah is stickin up for ya that's all i need to know

Just be yourself. If someone doesn't like that, who cares? If every man thinks I'm stupid except for one, that's great. He doesn't have to get jealous either.

Doohickey, thingamajig, whatchamacallit, stuff..."thingy" is a dudette's word.

:)

p.s. - I've found being straightforward and no games(i.e. - pursue only if truly interested) to my advantage as well.

I was taken back by Vens's comment.

It sorta seemed to imply that if you're not cute, you can't flirt.

If that's what she is suggesting, there is still a lot of learning to be done for that 20 year old.

Fortunately, we don't all have the same perception of what's beautiful and attractive.

Also, in my case, I don't want to be called "cute". "Cute" is a word I associate with women. I can more easily accept "handsome" or "attractive" because they are at least masculine words to me.

Dudette is incorrect it should be Dudess, Though dude can you used to refer to either gender.

You'll probably hear "cute" more than "handsome" or "attractive" because cute is in many ways more informal, and as such seems to be more noncommittal (all of which fits in with the very definition of most "flirting"), feels like it has fewer strings attached, and is therefore safer to use if the feeling isn't reciprocated.

A kitty cat is flirting with me right now. I'm babysitting Bear and he follows me from room to room. Presently he's making those slow-blink cat eyes at me from across the room. He was sitting on the back of my chair earlier and purring over my shoulder, too. ♥ =^..^=
