But everyone deserves a shot at it don't they? What if just one of all those 50+ million babies that we have killed in the womb had a gift to bring to the world but it was snuffed out? I didn't like abortion before my son was born and when I held him in my arms for the first time it was forever seared in my brain at the responsibility I had to him to give him the best shot that I could. I was pondering the other day if there was a sacrifice I wouldn't make for him and I couldn't come up with one. I wish all parents and prospective parents could feel that.
Everyone absolutely deserves a shot...

It's the "parents" I don't trust...I think there's something going on "upstairs" if you're able to hold a child and not immediately feel compelled to love and protect it. I don't have any kids of my own or a husband, but I remember holding my niece for the first time and being so careful with her, feeling so much love for that beautiful baby...I can't imagine anyone not wanting her.

But there are people whose hearts are so dark that they would rather throw it away. I think about my baby niece and the idea of someone not wanting her is mind boggling, but I know it happens.

I dunno..Again, I don't condone it, but I'm scared for the little ones who are born to people with dark hearts.

I'm tired of people thinking that a person -- any age -- who has family, friends, a life, etc.. is equatable to a fetus...as if it's no difference killing one or the other. It IS different...

If anything...we should be pushing for sterilization of people who are unfit to have children. The problem with that is the democrats need future voters and they would be the loudest voices for sterilizing people like me who teach their children, truth, justice, independence, personal responsibility and such things that the left seem to hate.

Is the free-market not working because the socalist in government have prevented it from working? We know they have destroyed the Americans workers ability to make a living wage and pay for ones own healthcare.
all those people with jobs at walmart who aren't paid enough to be able to afford to shop at walmart without food stamps, while the owners of walmart rake in billions of dollars in profit per year, and you think "socialists in government" are the reason that American workers have a hard time making a living wage?

really?
public libraries, high school educations and paved roads -- that's what you think keeps the American worker down?

Science disagrees with you. It is a human life. Science would even call a piece a moss on a moon rock life but they can't bring themselves to call a baby in utero one.

Americans are having a hard time making a living wage because their currency is losing its purchasing power by the day. If it keeps going the way it is..... soon you'll have to bring a wheel barrow full of thousand dollar bills to purchase a loaf of bread.

I wish we could sterilize people who are unfit...my goodness...but I think "unfit" is so subjective and not everyone coudl agree on what 'unfit' is. Maybe we could make those services more readily available, you know? Instead of just birth control, make outright sterilization more readily available.

We could start with the people who have children for a bigger welfare check.

Uhhh, no! I never said it's not "human". What is it? An alien? What are you talking about? In my last post, the one you quoted, I was saying there is a difference between a zygote and an adult, that's all. It's a stupid question, but if one were to ask who would you rather kill, the zygote should be the answer every time...

It is no different at the core. Life is life. Just because someone is older, or has more friends does not make him or her more valuable then a younger person.

you can call it whatever you want in your vain attempt at justifying murder. You won't change my mind...and you won't change the mind of scientists who are more and more saying that life begins at conception. By cheapening life in the womb you cheapen your own life. What are you in now....your 80th trimester?

That is a slippery slope. Who can judge that? I am not saying that I don't look at some people and say to myself, that they can not parent, but who decides that? On what criteria?

Who decides that a baby should have a fork jammed into its head? And on what criteria?
How bout...if you can't afford to have children and you keep having them anyway?

That's free-market ..which means free-choice ...Not your plan at all!
The free-market... where it's possible to make profit from one's life. No thanks...

Now back to incentives to maintain a healthy life style. We could use those same incentives to encourage people to live healthier under a complete universal health care system.

We don't want the system and don't want the government giving us rules about our health...this is America ..not China
I agree with the rules part. But you seem to be against giving incentives for some reason and you haven't articulated why. :(

Hey girl..if you have not noticed ..many of us believe the Republicans are socialist just like the Dems... Reagan is the last true conservative leader we have had.

Reagan signed the largest tax increase in the history of the country up until his time.
Reagan tripled the national deficit.
unemployment rose to almost 11% under Reagan.
the rich got almost 4X richer while the median income only rose by about 30% under Reagan.
Reagan greatly increased the size of the government - spending "balooned" and he bailed out SS and created the VA, one of the largest branches of the federal government, and as we know now, one of the worst managed.
Reagan as governor was very liberal about abortions - he signed a law that increased the number of abortions in California by over a million, and then did virtually nothing about abortion one way or the other while president.
Reagan gave over 3 million undocumented immigrants amnesty.
Reagan funneled all kinds of weapons illegally into Iran. wonder where those are now, hmm? he helped create the Taliban and Bin Laden by funding and training jihadis in Afghanistan in order to fight a proxy war with the USSR.

but he's your hero, right?

I don't care whether or not life begins at conception...it's cells dividing...it has no personality, it has no...anything... I think you cheapen life by relating a full grown human or even a new born baby with that of a speck on a laboratory slide.... If allowed to continue to grow, it will be a kid that people will care about, but funeral services for a blob seems...silly to me... Death is a better option than suffering.

I'm not evil. I'm not trying to eradicate entire races. But maybe you are barbaric and wicked if you want to support the suffering of others. My comparison to babies and pigs was not in an attempt to justify murdering babies.... You misunderstood me. I was just comparing their sentience. I'm not for the murder or death of ANYTHING, but I'm willing to admit when sometimes it's necessary or it's the best option.
So we don't try to help the weak and poor or give them a chance in this world..we just off them (murder) because we don't think their lives have value? same logic the Nazis used ...

Well then it sort of takes away incentive for people to spend all that time education and money to enter a field that pays them minimum wage. Lets just make it easy to get your medical license and then see how you like your free health care.
