I am unsure of where this comment stems from "I'm curious. Why don't you know what the Bible says? You seem to know what everyone else says." I had a bad feeling of where it would lead to if left unattended. What were you implying? I never made claim to "know what everyone else says". This is projecting thought to page and ultimately sways peoples thinking and opinion. I had no other intention on this thread but to open a meaningful dialogue on a topic which is widely mis-interpreted and not understood.

I did not detect much scrutinizing of the nature of the topic.

I feel your pain.

I am but a man ( of GREAT FAITH) on the other side of the keyboard who can only empathize with your life and circumstance. I am sure your cat's bring you a degree of joy that fills an empty spot in your heart and life. We have all been through so much in this life.

Our thoughts and Prayers go to you and your Husband (I am not speaking for those of you who care not less about who I am)...

The time is at hand that people should be putting aside petty indifferences and focus on topics of GREAT importance.

With love and peace.
My curiosity merely stemmed from you knowing what the RCC thinks about it, and what the US thinks about it, but I honestly took your first post for what you asked. You wanted to know what the Bible had to say about it. It just seemed odd, because in this country that's one of the first lessons taught for evangelizing. What does the Bible say about homosexuality?

I stink at memorizing scripture. I can't even memorize my favorite scriptures. I remember where they are, but never word for word what they say, and yet I can tell you where the OT speaks up against it and then where the NT speaks up against it. If I, who can't remember any verses, know that, it seemed a given others would too.

Because of that, I asked exactly what I meant to ask, why don't you know? It was never some haughty question. I honestly don't understand the RCC's position on it, but you knew that. Just nosiness how you knew what others believed but...

If I don't understand something and don't understand where someone is coming from, I ask. Honest, not good at subtle. Not good at beating around the bush. And really stink at tact. Now you know the difference between me asking a simple question and then going whole hog to go off if someone angers me too long.

At least you don't have to worry about me having some underlying purpose. Sometimes I do, but when I do I let people know that too. I usually call them "trick questions." 'kay?

Are we good?

I really do feel small for attacking you. Can you forgive me?

He knows that better than I as he has seen my judgement as righteous and not without GREAT consideration. The LORD has also seen what I thought of my indiscretions and has allotted me entry into the Kingdom of Heaven as my weight has been the burden of mankind in this day and age.

No amount of money changing will ever make the difference in THIS WORLD as it has been seen and judged in accordance with the rule and the law of Heaven.

Do not judge your brothers and sisters with haste. I am your brother. If you chose to shame me, beat me, blaspheme against me than that is your own accord. It will never change the fact of what this world has become and what needs to be done with it in order for it to be cleansed.
But aren't you judging him? (Hint. PostHuman is one of the good guys.)

Catholic doctrine has not changed regarding the moral nature of homosexual behavior.

Catholic thinking is changing regarding how to minister to homosexuals, whether to take the Westboro route or to distance itself from it.

i agree that it's not accurate to say that the Vatican condones homosexuality. in fact, i think that statement is arguably slander, though i understand it's made by inference from a mindset that is closer to the Westboro thinking - that is, if you're not actively damning it with every mention, you're condoning it by silence. i guess that's arguable too.

i don't know how profitable it is to argue one way or the other =\
Actually, there is something in the RCC doctrine that says something like homosexual is a sin but they can't help it.

I don't know the words to KumBahYa, so I will reserve any comment for a week or two. (That's usually time enough.)

You proclaim to know better than God, is what you are saying. I am in allegiance with God. Your redemption is far from His Glory if you are attempting to make a martyr of his Disciples.
Actually, that's what you said about him. So don't lay that on him either.

Thank you, and "our" sincerest apologize to "Depleted", (I do not like the handle, but kind of understand it, if the mod's allow, please change it to something more uplifting, or at least your own name.). Sometimes the hammer strikes down hard in circumstances that we are not prepared for. I will, maybe, tell you the strife's that I have also gone through, maybe. There always "seems to be worse" situation, but by the Lords name, there has not been many.
I am depleted. It is a good thing. Think how much cockier I am if I wasn't. (Mind boggling, huh? lol) Depleted gives God more room to fill me up.

But with what? You're a little on the mensa-mens for going off on people in the same vein that you think they're going off on you. And often, they aren't even going off on you.

If we are walking IN CHRIST we hate sin! That is a given and it is ONE evidence that we are reborn again. Im only trying to convey that we need to make sure it is the spirit that prompts our tongues and not our flesh. I think we need to be talking about flesh vs spirit alot within the body of Christ. I see a whole lot of discussion on these forums where the flesh is leading. I am guilty of it myself. But God is leading me to a straighter path and I only want people to ponder on this. It makes all the difference!!

Hate the sin, not the sinner Amen

There are greater issues at hand that are taking place as we speak. Prophecy is being revealed.

My wife and I both tried to figure out the correct spelling before I posted that. But, we concluded with all the other horrible attempts at spelling normal, everyday words that occur here, What the Hey?

Which part of this do you find humorous?
Considering most of your posts, it was a fairly serious question.

When people have nothing to base anything on but your own words (that you, yourself, typed) from where do you suppose they draw their conclusions?

If it quacks like a duck... walks like a duck...

Of all the things I don't want to be full of, including my pride, prophecy is down there too. Is that what you think you're full of?

i didn't know about that (i think we all know i'm not catholic) ?
well shoot, man's nature is to be hostile to God - but i don't think that condones hostility toward God!

i know they still hold that it's immoral behavior condemned by scripture in old & new testaments, and teach celibacy. that much hasn't changed.

in a certain way it may be a shame that we don't exactly have Catholics around on these forums.. so they could explain the Vatican's position clearly to us & we weren't guessing at it. or maybe not. ?
