Again, like I said in post 77, I do not believe our obedience does what grace does, only that God only gives the gift of grace to those who obey. While we were yet sinners He died for us, He died for the whole world. He gave us His blood to cleanse us of our sins, but w e have to go get it. Not only that, we have to stay in contact with it in order for it to keep working.
How do we come in contact with it? We are baptized into Christ's death- where He shed His blood. Then we partake of His body and blood every first day of the week in the assembly of the saints (Christians). If we, once saved, cut ourselves off from the blood supply, we are cut off from its benefit.
Just like if you tied a rubber band tightly around your finger, if you cut off the blood supply long enough it will turn gangrene and fall off. If this happens, it can never be restored, even though it was once genuinely part of the body, it is no longer.
