You can't even tell us who this mere 'angel' was that had the power to cast down Satan in the first place...and yet, you think you have it all figured out.

File 13 your stance...

Folks...

While we are waiting for Ahwatukee to tell us who has the power to cast Satan down...is there anyone out there who can help him with his lack of an answer....?

When was satan bound?

When Jesus was a child ?

When Jesus began his ministry ( baptism onward ) ?

When Jesus died?

or after He died and rose from the dead?

When was satan bound?
When Jesus' physical body died at The Cross.
I guess that kinda throws out your whole doctrine then since Revelation was given to John well after Jesus Died and was told this:

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

O well back to the drawing board for you bowman. What false doctrine will it be this time? Maybe the watchtower has something for you.

I disagree....God did not speak to man in metaphors, but in words that were literally understood.
Are there metaphors in parables? Do they unlock the mysteries of God. or are they just parables with no spiritual meaning?

Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

Mark 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

Gudday 49,

I liken Amillennialism to a young girls tea party, no real guests, no real tea and no real pastries, just make believe :(

LOL Spoken like a real man.

Most of the reformers who chose the amil position and had real guests. Where they a bunch of real little girls or men reforming dark Catholicism according to sola scriptura?

The Greek term utilized here is 'apēlthen', and is described in the lexicons as departing in an absolute manner.

The parable aptly describes Satan's departure as absolute in nature...i.e. he is bound.

Elvis has left the building.

And look at what the parable informs the reader...Satan sowed tares (plural) demons...as opposed to what Jesus sowed, good seed (singular).

See the difference?

Satan left behind his bad seed, the demons.

Again....

The parable is unmistakable, and solidifies my position that Satan is presently bound, and that his demons have been left behind to intermingle with mankind until the end.

Pretty simple.

I would agree its simple.Just compare the spiritual meaning to the spiritual .

Here are a few examples.

The first time the actual term ‘‘a thousand’’ is used in a figurative sense in Scripture is found in Deuteronomy 1:10-11where Moses is seen speaking to the children of Israel, saying, ““The Lord your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude. (The Lord God of your fathers make you A THOUSAND times so many more as ye are, and bless you, as he hath promised you!).””

Moses, here, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit employs the term ‘‘a thousand’’ to reveal the immense prosperity he desires for the people of God. This expression again does not in any way denote an exact ‘‘thousand’’ but rather explains in a figurative sense the deep sense of spiritual increase he wishes to see bestowed on his kindred from the providential hand of the God of his fathers. This passage is not intending to limit God's blessing to an expansion of only one thousand times. Rather it is a figurative way of saying that God is the source of ALL increase and ALL blessing.

The Psalmist says, whilst exalting the Word of God in Psalm 119:72, ““The law of thy mouth is better unto me than THOUSANDS of gold and silver.”” Here he is simply highlighting the unfathomable riches of God’s eternal truth, in stark contrast to the temporal satisfaction of worldly possessions and worldly gain. That’s why Christ asked in Mark 8:36-37, ““For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?””

Isaiah 7:22-24 says, ““And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk that they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land. And it shall come to pass in that day, that every place shall be, where there were A THOUSAND vines at A THOUSAND silverlings (or, for the price of a thousand bits of silver), it shall even be for briers and thorns.””

The term ““a thousand”” is here used as a symbol (rather than an exact amount) to impress a scriptural truth, indicating the grave consequence of disobedience –– briers and thorns would replace the many fruitful vines.

Matthew 13:25 concludes "and went his way". Would not have been allowed to go his way if Jesus had bound him.

One more question sir...how is it we are reigning with Jesus? Seems to me if this were so, there would be no more sin in this world, nor sorrow, death, false religions, doctrines, etc.

If Satan went his way then he went on his own. There is no bounding that takes place. God knew full well how the ancient texts were to be interpreted and represented in the major versions of the bible.

It is clearly evident, from many passages, despite your own wresting with scripture to suit your particular point of view, that Satan will not be bound until the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. At the end of that time he will be released to deceive the nations once again until the time comes that he is thrown in the lake of fire. Pretty Simple.

You try your best to make it seem like only a biblical scholar, due to the original languages that the bible was written, is capable of accurate interpretation. If that is true then the bible has no relevance for the 99.95% of the others who take the bible at its word and the spirit that was intended.

Even Elvis would agree that the bible was meant to be understood by those who thirst for the truth and desire to apply it to their lives.

I would say how would a person bind something like the spirit of error, the god of this world, Satan that has no form (No dna) .

It’s not as if we are looking for some sort of fleshly beast with horns. That comes from watching too much tv. That would mean we are walking in one of his avenues and not Jesus the way the truth.

1John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Is far as casting the serpent down we are privileged we have Christ in us to protect us from the father of lies . Every time we trust Christ the anointing Holy Spirit of God we are casting down the god of this world

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2Co 10:3

Back to drawing board....for you...

Write what things you saw (past), and what things are (present), and what things are about to occur after these things (future). (Rev 1.19)

Yep your right but there is more:

Rev 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter ( future);

Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Let see...

So you know for certain that the time period that Satan is bound to be 1,000 literal years.

Right?

Then you should also know for certain the time period that Satan is released.

Right?

So....what is it?

If you can't answer, with an exact answer, then your position is a sham....

So....

Your reply is that only God has the power to cast-down Satan.

Haven't you figured out yet that Revelation constantly recycles its material?

Past, present, future......over and over again....its not linear....

As stated in my post, the bible says that Satan will be released at the end of the 1000 year reign of Jesus. That is the position stated in the book of Revelation written by John as he was inspired by and instructed by God to write. His position is not a sham. Apparently, it's all Greek to you.

Satan, the dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns, (Rev 12:3) was released in 1929.

the point is that if you want to take it LITERALL you must see him AS a roaring lion. That what it SAYS. I know what it means. that satan uses humans to do his purposes from the place where he is restrained. you seem to think he is omnipresent, but he is not. Only GOD is omnipresent,
Look at this...

They are adamant about a literal 1,000 years of Satan being bound....but, when you ask for a literal time period that Satan is released, they get the deer-in-the-headlight look going.

Revelation gives a time period for both....but their training is so lopsided that they get stunned when you ask them for the other half of the equation...

No so confident now, are they....

Rev 20:1-3
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. [SUP]2 [/SUP]He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; [SUP]3 [/SUP]and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

The answer, as stated in the bible is 'a little while'. How long that period of time is depends on how God determines 'a little while'.

John is told to write the things hast seen , the things which are and the things which shall be hereafter. Starting in Revelation 4:1 clearly shows that the things which shall be hearafter are going to be shown so John can write them down.

Thus showing an order you just denied. Your wrong again Bowman.

According to what scripture...?
Who is the dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns, Rev 12:3?

He was waiting to devour the man child v.4-5, and sent a flood after the woman v 15-16.
