now, lets get to the truth of the matter. (and back to the OP)
It is a case of semantics,
One groups uses the word convict.
the other uses the word chasten.
Which proves the HS according to BOTH groups is in the work of a believers life to change a persons life from that of sin and destruction to a life mature in Christ.
The only difference appears to be one groups is using it in a legalistic kind of way, the other in a discipline kind of way (an army does not focus on telling a person what is wrong, He focuses on showing a person what is right..a soldier does not have time to second guess himself, He has to know the right way to do things, or it may cost his life or the lives of his brothers in arms)
This is what I mean when I say we need to listen to people talk, and what they are saying and stop this assuming you now what everyone believes just because they may use some key word like The HS does not convict a believer..
On the front, it meay seem like a bad thing, but when you actually listen to them, you realize it is just a use of terms..
Now if they said the HS never chastens a person of Sin, We would have issues.. MAJOR issues..
