Jesus didn't come back on clouds on the first century and the day of the Lord hasn't even arrived yet? How is it all written about the first century? It isn't. Every kindred has not wailed and morned at the return of Christ yet. I'm telling you this out of love what I'm writing is the truth.

Haha, and I'm sure that's not the only one from your collection.
It's actually the only lambo in my collection. I've been wanting a bigger version for a long time but haven't found one at a good price yet.. I only have 17 cars in my collection, including 3 matchboxes.

Not all of the Book of Revelation has happened yet, but I believe most of it has. Jesus returns only a Second time, never a third. Besides, Revelation (while truth) is written in apocalyptic metaphors. Clouds were associated in the OT with divine activity: they symbolised God's power and majesty. Here, at Jesus' Second Coming, they too announce God's power and majesty.

Hello Tintin,

The book of Revelation is divided into three parts when he told John to write 1) what you have seen, 2) what is now and 3) what will take place later.

What you have seen: Everything that John wrote about from Rev.1:19

What is now: Is represented by the letters to the seven churches, which represents the entire church period, which is the now.

What will take place later: Everything that takes place after the now i.e. everything that takes place after the church period. Therefore, nothing from Rev.4 has yet taken place.

This is why we do not find the word Ekklesia/Church after the end of chapter 3 and that because the church is gone. Also, we have yet to see the opening of the 1st seal, which represents the revealing of the Antichrist, who is a counterfeit of the rider on the white horse found in Rev.19:11-21. Those who are here during the time of God's wrath will know when the 1st seal is opened when that antichrist makes his seven year covenant with Israel, which initiates that last seven years. Furthermore, none of the plagues of wrath have yet begun and will not until the Lord removes his church from the earth.

The Book of Revelation isn't linear though. John was in the Spirit (outside time and space). The letters to the seven churches are addressed to seven historical churches and they provide the historical/cultural/social context for the rest of the book. Revelation tells the same truth from four different perspectives, all amidst the biggest worship service ever.

17?!?! Not much of a car fanatic, are you?
Haha I am! :D It doesn't sound like much but it is a nice little collection. One of them is a very detailed 1/14 scale ferrari that has working headlights, tailights and blinkers and it has variable speed control and it is so well detailed that it looks like an expensive desktop display model and it is pretty expensive, but I don't want to say how much.

Here's a pic of it. :)

It's amazing how many people get sick on a holiday. I will be at work for an indeterminate amount of time because a bunch of people called in.

I've never heard such an incorrect interpretation before.

Haha, Missy, I already had 4th of July banana split and it's yum. Okay it wasn't really for the 4th of July, but hey it's banana and ice cream.
If you look real close at the painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware in the back ground you can see a Baskin Robbins ice cream shop he used to visit frequently. Lol just joking around
