My grandma doesn't pitch hissies. She makes chocolate oatmeal cookies. And I'm the one who has the rolling pin - a marble one, I love it, but I've never whacked people with it. Yet.


Actually my uncle Fred is the one to impress. He has a good way of knowing about people. He just KNOWS. If uncle Fred is impressed with someone that impresses me a lot more than if the person tries to impress me.

I'm pretty sure your Uncle Fred would take one look and immediately dismiss me as a troublemaker with a single raise of an eyebrow.

I'll just take a plateful of your Grandma's cookies and run.

Something I was thinking about today at work... Married people who met their spouse "the old-fashioned way" and see dating sites as rubbish remind me of the fact that my Grandpa was around when they came out with the "horseless carriage" (aka, a automobile.)

I'm pretty sure most people back then never thought those would take off, either.

A married person has to realize they have a 50/50 chance of one day becoming single themselves. God does not usually call married couples home at the same time.

When that day comes, they just might reconsider a dating site.

Maybe not.

But I'm seeing it happen to the once-married people who patted me on the head almost 20 years ago and told me to enjoy my blessed single time with the Lord.

Funny that when their time came, they seemed to forget all the advice they gave to poor, lowly singles like me.

Folks usually forgets ever no good piece of advice they been forcing on others. Some married folks are real mean to unmarried people, dont know why, but to me it seems like they are giving advice to make people feel down...you know the kind...hey, look at me, I'm succesful, you're not...aint fit to say stuff like that imho. One day it could be that person sitting their on her b...butt browsing ever dating site the good Lord admitted to this world...

Uncle Fred can't raise one eyebrow. Independent eyebrows is my thing. And in my family you don't eat and run. You stay and chat. Family dinners take a couple hours, minimum.

I met my Husband off and on over the years through mutual friends. When we first started to get to each other he was in college a couple of hours away. This was 1996, no texting, long distance cost a small fortune. He made a small chat room for us to talk to each other for only the DIAL up internet cost. So without the help of a computer we maY have never gotten to know each other.

What did I learn?

I experienced and dated all races.

I experienced I prefer to date someone who is not my race or nationality.

Not everyone is ready to date.

Their are a lot of beautiful women.

The truth can be stretched and far fetched.

Some women are really touchy feely.

Not everyone's profile in person is a Christian.

Their are some honest people, its 70/30% ratio.

Apostolic women are just like normal women no matter how much they claim and think and present their Holiness. Sorry we are all perfectly human flawed and sinners no matter the denomination of choice. Not every man is going to be perfect for you and we are flawed in a fallen world. It doesn't matter how much investment in skirts you own or how long the protein is on your head. God is interested in what's in your heart not the cotton you chose or the length of your hair. They will slam you if they don't get their way. Message me about my experience.
