So, um... xD xD XD XD okay. I finally got enough courage to record a song video on Smule. Props to my partner for having an amazing voice. Please ignore my camera handling skills, and I had to zoom in cause my headphones don't have a microphone, so I'm using the phone's internal mic, so I has to be close to it xD.

Anyway, here's Beauty and the Beast by moi and stranger, thanks to Smule.

Two fingers torn up from my lathe tonight. Two fingers bandaged. Computer keyboard now with little tiny blood splatters all over it from leaking through the bandages. Awesome.

Did you not read in the operating instructions that fingers and hands are to be kept clear of the rotating parts of the lathe?

Uuugggh....... Oh my! I'm so sorry to hear that, dear. :( Man, I hope you feel better today and that heals up quick.

It was a silly mistake. I just wasn't paying attention to where my hand was.

I actually went out last night. We went to a surprise 30th birthday party for my Nephew. I was 16 when he was born. I feel pretty old. It was a nice party. Today we're going to a picnic. I don't feel like it but we are. I am glad it's Labor Day tomorrow and I can get some yard work done.

I have nothing exciting to say or add, sorry. Oh my Daughter turns 10 on Thursday, we're going to Build a Bear. I'm looking forward to paying a crazy amount of money for a stuffed animal. Then next Sunday she's having a skating birthday party. 35 plus kids, if they all show, if to they do all show I'll be watching at least 15 of them drop on the skating floor.

Ouch! Hope it heals quickly!
Having a two-finger handicap makes the work of prepping the ingredients to cook supper tonight...interesting. Peeling potatoes looks especially spastic.

Catherder, what kind of piano music?
I bought:

1. a collection for the church pianist - the most expensive of the bunch
2. some "jazzy" versions of Bach works - I thought that would be kind of fun
3. a collection of classical works - many of which I don't have in other collections.

It's kind of funny - many piano works are in this collection and that collection...then available as sheet music. For example, I have a book of Chopin preludes, but it comes up in many different collections from different publishers. As a result, I may have the same piece in about four or five different books. But the book may have other pieces that the rest do not.

Still, I am in the process of culling duplicates from my music library and am giving some music away to my daughter (who I'm happy to say still plays piano as an adult!) and some of my students.
