Getting back to the OP. The whole lying thing in general bothers me personally because I've always been a trusting person, to trusting. It's hurt me numerous times in my personal life. I see the good in people. It's hard for me to imagine someone pretending they're something they aren't. I'm not the most confident person in the world but I've always tried to be myself. I've never held any prestigious job's, I went to college but didn't finish, I don't live in a big fancy house or drive a big car. I swear sometimes, I try not to. I drink to much Diet Pepsi, I love Greek yogurt more than the average person should. I have a happy marriage but we have our issues too. My Kid's are mouthy sometimes and tick me off, and my washing machine needs a new belt.

I figure if someone expect's me to be this amazing flawless person in looks and personality, I'd have to work very hard to keep friends or my spouse. I would fail miserably and I'm not willing to make stuff up or go to the gym all the time to be the plastic person I'm not.

I went into my old old old CDs and found a selfie I took from around that same time frame (around 1999), although it isn't actually the pic that some thought I stole from somewhere.. (I'm only going to leave it up for a few days because I don't like having a huge pic of me on the interwebs.. :p)

I look exactly like the picture on my profile page... that's because it is a picture of me. The avatar is a pic I took of a car which I own. The car is, however, only 2-1/2 inches long.

As for the pics on my dating profiles, they are recent pics of me. It's ridiculous to put a pic of someone else on a profile in which you claim to be Christian and dislike dishonesty. I've received messages from a gal, whose pic is of a (barely) 20-something Swedish model, who claims to be Asian, and from a gal whose profile listed a home town in Australia but who claimed to be currently in Ghana, couldn't get her age correct, and wanted my e-mail address or phone number so she could send pics 'of herself'. For some strange reason she didn't want to share pics on the dating site private message system. Sure. :/
