Guys the NFL had the biggest drop in viewers in 7 years, last week ... Unless we put pressure on them by turning them OFF , they will not do the right thing ... boycott the NFL

Lol, no way Tom Brady as much as I hate the pats, will play till 50 lol that's how much NE loves him for his rings....
Haha wouldn't surprise me tbh. He doesn't seem to be declining any time soon.

I feel like these comments pierce my heart. I'm so done with Brady. Being in the Pats division has been one long nightmare. I realize it largely had to do with the fact that the Dolphins can't get their stuff together but it doesn't make it any easier we have to play Brady twice a season.

Apparently, they can't beat the Patriots without him either. You should probably just find a new team at this point. :p

My team's season may not be lost after all. Sam Bradford actually looked really good last night. I'm glad we could beat the Packers to open up the new stadium. : )

Oh...we both know that will never happen. I can't even get mad at you for saying that. I am also a Miami Hurricanes fan. I suppose the 5 National Championships and numerous years they completed for the National title and almost won...(don't get me started on the Miami - Ohio State National Champ game) make up for the fact that my NFL team completely sucks.

I enjoy football and I am so excited to have found this thread. Here's hoping you guys don't mind having a lady talk football with you from time to time. ;) I can't help but noticed this thread is dominated by those of the male kind.

At least the Fish have won a couple Super Bowls and are the only team to have a perfect record for a season. My team is the Lions and they won't win a Super Bowl in my lifetime. They looked pathetic yesterday. Per usual.

The NFL still is by far the most popular sport in America. If stuff like Ray Rice, Adrian Peterson, Aldon Smith, and all the DUI arrests of too many people to type don't do anything, I don't think this will. Like I said, these "protests" (because kneeling down is really not a big deal, especially when compared to just sitting on the bench) have been hyped up from the media to distract us from bigger things (I.e., New York and New Jersey bombs, Minnesota stabbing).

yeah, I'd hate for my team to be in the NFC North...although have the packers..are they supposed to be any good this year? I haven't heard the usual Pack proproganda hype I usually hear.

I bleed green and gold, but I'm ready to throw in the towel and write off this season.

Too soon for that, Aaron had a bad night. The crowd noise was crazy loud too. Packers are going far this year I think.

I think they are over-rated.

I agree Mitspa. It's the hyped up "message" that they want us to react to. Just like Trump snuffed out the "controversial" Obama birther media trap by pulling a zen move and defusing it by calling Obama a natural born citizen, I think if we ignore these attempts to divide they lose their umpf.

I've been boycotting them since the late 90's.. even longer with the NBA, MLB, and NCAA.. (actually I never even got into the NCAA stuff :p)

I don't have anything against sports itself, I just can't watch a bunch of rich, spoiled, illiterate primadonnas making millions for playing ball...
I know there are some exceptions out there, but they are just that.. exceptions.

If the NFL has another week like last week it could effect several new contracts they have this year based on a projected increase in viewers ..Companies have tied billions of dollars to the projection that the NFL would increase as it has the past few years ... By next week the NFL could lose billions depending on how many folks watched or did not watch this week.

Guy ..the facts are its already having a effect and it is a important issue because the men dying to protect us from these things say it is... The veterans groups and police groups are calling for boycotts ... Certain police groups are saying they will not work NFL games.
