Are u saying youre not really that gorgeous model in your avatar, Kim??
Doggone it! You beat me to the comment by a week! :p

Being a troll, I usually prefer using pictures of people who are more handsome than me, such as the person in my avatar. ;)

It's not even the fact that people pretend to me beautiful people or whatever that gets to me. What really pisses me off, is that they deceive people into thinking they're someone they're not. I feel I'm less likely now to trust people who say they're getting engaged or that I should buy a Volvo to save my family than before. And no-one benefits from a cynical Christian.

I like using pictures of other people because I get a kick out of people not trusting me or anything I say. It keeps them guessing and it plays right into my hand. I got the BIGGEST charge today out of the old fart with the elephant avatar telling me point blank he thinks I am totally fake. Now that I know I get under his skin, it's game on. LOL.

...never let someone know they get to you. That's one of the dumbest things you can do on the Internet. I cut my teeth trolling at 4chan...I'm pretty skillz0red at teh trolling.

I've known some women who could be brutal when talking about another woman's looks. If someone is really pretty, oh she's stuck up. If someone has average looks and has a boyfriend, oh wow what does he see in her? Most of that boils down to the persons own insecurities and jealously.

Unfortunately, that's the sad nature of some women and it's only amplified in a clique environment. It's best to not get involved and retain your dignity and self belief rooted in Jesus.

I don't use photos of myself bc it's an argument with someone about it not being me.
Sceptical people are everywhere, but the photos are of real people so why is it always hard to believe it's them?
Do people assume attractive people have better things to do with their time?

By no means am I implying anything about myself bc what I look like is of little consequence here but it does happen every time.

I think a lot of online profiles are fakes. A lot of members who are attempting to catfish others online will use pictures of attractive people or models. I think if you have discovered a few "fakes" you are more likely to be suspicious of anyone

That being said, I do agree with your second point that many have this view that spending time posting on a forum or other social network is for losers or those without a thriving social life. I have seen this sentiment echoed repeatedly throughout multiple posts in forums. I think this outlook is very problematic and causes many members to be extra suspicious of a person who looks attractive in their picture.
