no they are not lying. I caught YOU in a straight-up lie a couple of weeks ago. you stated that you do not tell others what they believe. you do this all the time. so, saying that you do not do something that you do is lie.
so this in itself disqualifies you from you own system.
This gets into the world of semantics, or what words mean.
If I say I am a christian, someone can say I must therefore follow Christ and His words.
Is that them saying what I believe or explaining their understanding of the words I am a christian?
Now to cut to the chase. I always try and draw out the meaning of the words and lay them out.
Now the person themselves may deny this is what the words mean, and they meant something
else, but need to fill in the explanation.
The problem is most people use words in a flaky way, so rather than meaning what they are saying
they follow a belief system without working it through.
So often someone will say, I did not mean that. Now what is a lie and what is the truth?
Is the truth what the words mean or what they thought they said?
It is amusing that me doing this is sinful. Now I am not saying what people believe, but
drawing out conclusion from their words. And I attempt to do this is an honest way.
So for me, this is not telling someone what they believe, but explaining the consequences
of what they believe. I hope this helps, but then your intention was never friendly, lol.
