1 John 1:7

"If" we walk in the light - this is a sphere of living - the condition of being in the light means we have fellowship with each other and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin ( present tense continuous cleansing - if we were perfect and never sinned why would we need the constant cleansing of the blood of Jesus..selah ).

We are always light in the Lord.

Believers are definitely in the light. The scriptures are clear on this.

Ephesians 5:8 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]
for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light ( we should be walking out who we are in the light..but it's through Him we do that. )

Colossians 1:12 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP]
giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

1 Thessalonians 5:5 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP]
for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;

Here Paul is contrasting the believer and the unbeliever. Notice the believer is called "light".

2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Be ye ( believers ) not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

The understanding of this truth brings "repentance" to us to walk as who we are in the Lord.

You're out of your mind ... I am only quoting some NT verses (which you hate).

Stop the childish attacks and name calling, or I will start to report.

No, I do not hate Gods word. I HATE YOUR INTERPRETATION of them, and the LEGALISM which procedes from those faulty interpretations.

There is a simple truth, to not listen and obey Jesus is to not know Him.

Very truly I tell you, whoever obeys my word will never see death.
John 8:51

Now I am convinced those who argue against this do not know Christ.
And if they do not know Christ, why listen to them.

Jesus said these words so His sheep would not be deceived or spend too
long arguing with people who are not part of His people.

There is simply no fear in their hearts to go against the words of Jesus, or
wisdom in the souls to know He is the judge of all.

Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
John 14:24

But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
Matt 10:33

Disowning Christ is disowning His words.

Those who have love in their hearts have little problem following Jesus, because
His words are simple and not a burden. He gives us a way through, no matter
where we find ourselves.

False teachers. You will know them by their words, what they affirm and what
they deny. If they deny the words of Christ, they deny His authority and gospel.

Observation - Various members continue to believe they know Christ yet stand in opposition
to His message.

Now they know their opposition, because people like myself who challenge their position,
they call evil, anti-christ, legalists and anything else sinful than can make up.

So unfortunately the truth is not in them, and ostracising followers of Christ carries
no fear in their eyes.

What was odd was their apparent traditional stance, on calvanism, election, faith
yet they were barbed and without any restraint on OSAS. No matter how they behave,
or say or do, they are saved. So they will fall into sin, and yet it is not a problem, or
undermining of what they represent.

If you read Gods word and dwell on it in your soul, you will find the truth.
So I encourage you to do this, because then the truth will set you free.

But for these people, truth was never their real motivation, appeasing their conscience
which continually condemns them to this day, yet Christ accepts them as they are without
any need for change.

Unfortunately, several non-believers have crept in and insist on dominating this forum.

A non-believer is one who is disobedient to Jesus and His commandments.

Hebrews 3 ... disobedience proves unbelief.
John 14 ... those who love Jesus obey Him.
John 15 ... those who are Jesus' friends obey Him.

No one gets into heaven who does not love Jesus.
No one gets into heaven who is not Jesus' friend.
No one gets into heaven who does not obey Jesus' commands.

A non-believer is essentially the one who denies the truth of believing in the finished work of Christ and thinks by their own efforts and deeds create and maintain salvation for going to be with the Lord. Only faith in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ does that.

Romans 3:24-26 (KJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

[SUP]25 [/SUP] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

[SUP]26 [/SUP] To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

A non-believer is being disobedient to the faith and is not trusting in Christ's finished work on the cross.

Blah, blah, blah...

So....the thief on the cross....

a. How did he show his love for Jesus
b. How was he the friend of Jesus
c. What command did he follow

Oh that's right...HE ACKNOWLEDGED JESUS and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.....WOW....amazing how that works

HE that BELIEVETH HATH EVERLASTING LIFE

This is the WORK of the FATHER...to BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT!

Actually, your right about the non-believers....they teach the following fallacies...

1. You can lose salvation
2. You have to work for salvation
3. You have to jump through religious hoops for salvation
4. You never sin and are Holier than thou
5. Salvation is temporary
6. ETC......

.....more Blah, Blah, Blah.......................

Amen to this one as well......Jesus did the work dia the will of the Heavenly Father........it makes sense that salvation is free, eternal and based upon the faith and work of Christ...it is not my fault that ADAM sinned and I have his nature...God is absolutely fair...and when Jesus blared out, "It is finished" <--this equals paid in full...Sin has forever been settled before the Heavenly Father dia the sacrifice of His only begotten Son...

God was clear...When I see the blood (applied by faith) I WILL PASS OVER YOU!

A non-believer is being disobedient to the faith and is not trusting in Christ's finished work on the cross.
The above statement is not the full statement of faith from this group.

All born again believers believe in the cross takes away their sin and brings them salvation.

What this group add on the end is, if you have a hint of doing things to justify yourself before
God, you are actually denying your faith in Christ, so sinning in unbelief, so are not saved.

Now this ethic of unbelief is taken to rediculous degrees, so me arguing as a follower of Christ
I obey Christ, shows I am working to justify myself so am not a believer.

It becomes like a hunt for the "evil legalists", a witch hunt, where they claim the authority of
Christ and the faith, and polarise the discussion, so you know 100% you are on the other side, and
they are on the right side.

But it is because their statement of faith is incomplete where the confusion starts. It is compounded
by wrong exegesis, where one principle from one verse will be applied throughout scripture,
where the principle is just wrong. So fear, unbelief, lack of trust, not of faith become sin, and
men of God are reduced to failures and part of the failed gospel of law, while the gospel of grace
is freedom and victory.

Its power is simple principles applied everywhere, creating a new faith, and undoing as they would
say is the brain washing of religious tradition. It is so appealing, yet so flawed from simple analysis,
it is a wonder so many have fallen for it, unless it appeals to their conscience and guilt. And it must
seriously appeal because so many have fallen for it, and heap such condemnation against me for
holding to scripture is truly astounding.

Christ is victory over sin and death, and His word and Spirit in our lives is the road to victory.

The message of the finished work of Christ will always be a stumbling block to those of us with a works-based mindset.

The preaching of Christ Himself and the cross where we have died with Him and we have risen to new life in Christ - forever sealed by the Holy Spirit is a stumbling block to those that are trying to maintain their own D.Y.I self-righteousness/holiness and they are in effect denying their Lord and Master.

Let's believe in the good news of the gospel of the grace of God. Our loving Father and our Lord has done marvelous things for us and we are full of His joy! We believe and trust in Him alone for life and living. As we have received Christ our Lord - so we also walk in Him. It is all by grace through faith in what Christ has done. That is the true gospel message.

To false teachers with a mindset that everything is a free gift with no strings attached
will always find it impossible to accept life has boundaries and you need to acknowledge
them to have good relationships.

A person is only the sum of their thoughts and actions, so ofcourse it makes sense that
eternity is filled with people who give lip service to the truth but do not live it.

Romans 5 v 15- but the FREE GIFT is not like the trespass. for if many died through the one man's trespass, much more surely have the grace of God, and the FREE GIFT in the grace of of the one man. Jesus Christ abounded for the many.

you owe Paul an apology.

Salvation which is in Christ alone and is "freely" given to those that believe in Christ is everywhere and you are right - Paul seems to know quite a lot about it.

Romans 3:24 (KJV)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 8:31-34 (KJV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

[SUP]32 [/SUP] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

[SUP]33 [/SUP] Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

[SUP]34 [/SUP] Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

1 Corinthians 2:12 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Here Paul is talking about the "riches of His grace" which the Father "freely" bestowed on us because we are in the Beloved. We are in Christ - joined as one spirit with Him for eternity..

Ephesians 1:6-7 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

We need to "repent" and believe in the gospel just like Jesus said in Mark 1:15 for all of us to do.

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.
Romans 5:15

The concept of a free gift can be taken in different ways.
1. You are given something, but you have to pay for it, or it is free of charge
2. The gift does not incur any constraints on it, or limitations of what it can do or how

Now if you are given a radio controlled car, you are not given a plane which can fly.
It can only do what it can do. So though the gift is without charge, it does not make it
work outside its constraints.

Now the greek of Romans 5:15 regarding the gift is "charisma" is not a free gift, it is a gift.
Some translate it with the word free, but this is an interpretation.

Now whether you say free gift or not, it does not change the reality. The gift of life costs
the death of your life in this world.

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.
John 12:25

So many miss-quote and miss-use scripture, but then they can do no other, because they
do not know Him who authored these words.

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Phil 1:21

Christ came that we might die to this world and be born again to the Kingdom of heaven.
Dying is not cost free.

G7 wants people to repent, but the sin he is describing is rejecting the gospel everything
is a free ticket to heaven in Christ.

Their concept is we are what we are, and it will not change.
Now this is 100% true, we will stay as we are, unless we sow to
faith and follow Christ.

In essence following Christ in their mind is of the flesh and evil.

Their words are the work of the enemy. Lip service alone will not work,
it needs to go into your heart and the word of Christ dwell there.

But their poison is to get people to question everything, and refine it down to
the Spirit or the self. Jesus works differently. He talks about focusing on
doing good, loving and walking righteously. All the old self will fall away, and you
will find yourself in your proper place with Christ.

It is like a seed when it germinates and grows, you do not dig it up and try
and work out which bit is the plant and which the soil. It damages the whole
process. So our focus is on doing good, thinking the best, dwelling on praise
and glory in Christ.

And you will find people of God among this group, like any other, as the Holy
Spirit works through there heart and bring His good fruit to bear, Amen.

Giving up the world and its ways

It is odd to meet a group who claim giving up the world is cost free.
Jesus preached the truth, walked in the light, and they killed Him.

He declares the same will happen to us in this world.
So you have a choice, peace with the world and war with heaven, or
peace with heaven and war with this world.

What you are hearing here is peace with this world, and peace with heaven.

This calls the bible a lie, Jesus not the messiah, and the gospel a gateway to
success in everything.

So it is no surprise the people of God reject this gospel.
How they can call themselves followers of the most high, make sin irrelevant and
lie about Jesus and His message, just labels them heretics and false teachers.

so you did-agree with Paul. no surprise. his words do not agree with the gospel of peterjens.

by the way, in Greek, charisma means an underserved favor, gift of grace. nice try at lying and deceiving. but, as usual -fail

you mean the group that reads the Bible?? as I just said, that is what Paul said. the arrogance of some people.

I have been on here for many years, and have never put anyone on ignore. but it is getting close here. this deceit and lies have no place on a Christian website.
