Many have said this many times - sometimes it is not the scripture that is being questioned - it's the "application" of scriptures that is being questioned.

If someone says : If you sin - you are a child of the devil, accursed and are not born-again, a hater of God's word because 1 John 3:9 says that "The one born of God cannot sin".

People should be able to question this. One of the ways to question this - is to ask - well, do you still sin from time to time? Do you still give in to the flesh from time to time. Everyone knows the answer is "yes".

So, to use the same "application" that means this person who sins from time to time is not born of God and is a child of the devil and is a servant to sin.

So, their theory of their "personal application" of some scriptures goes out the window.

Not to mention the harmful effects this type of a doctrine will have on young Christians struggling to grow in grace. This should be our real issue - protecting the young ones in the Lord.

He has no gift of discernment. Anyone who thumps their chest in self righteousness while calling Christians, "children of the devil," doesn't have a lick of discernment.

You're in error of self righteousness and for rebuking people who love and call upon the Name of the Lord. You're a modern day stumbling block. Whoa to you!

Considering you call those who love Jesus and thank Him on bended knee for His love and grace, "children of the devil" it's safe to say you're the one who speaks without the Holy Spirit. It doesn't get any more clear than that.

what I actually am tired of, is the sanctimonious droning on and the cherry picked and twisted verses that are the standard for these threads

I don't believe there is a single thing to debate here....if a person knows the word, they quickly see that

I guess folks are indignant that he continues but he only does so at the discretion of those who constantly do battle with him

I have inserted a few posts in this thread...for nothing really...in fact at this point I would consider my contributions a deficit of my time

self delusion is about the hardest thing to deal with

and even worse when the person thinks God has commanded what they speak

there are far too many people with that notion in their noggins at this time in history and the internet plays a vital role in that

I don't care who judges what...anyone judging the hearts of others is NOT speaking for God

they are deceived...as far as the words go? well, seems you don't care too much for them either for the most part

recharge? you betcha...but not for this thread or any others with the intent and purpose this one is concieved for ...you won't see me in any more threads opened with the intention to condemn, judge and basically brawl and call names

nothing personal towards you...I'm just speaking what I think about it

You can usually tell really quick what the intention of a thread or an individual poster is.
 
And once again thank you for all your graceful comments and judgments of me in this thread, I have come to expect nothing less from such a spirit filled crowd. :)
 
having an opinion and and passing judgement on an other, are two different things, given this is a forum topic.

your understand and others understandings,will always clash, not because of being wrong, often because of different levels of understandings.
