Um they're not married so its adultery anyway JSYK.

Is it not adultery only if we sleep with others afterwords? I'm really going to get some minds thinking here. Fornacation is the act of sleeping with a spouce of another, Adultery is sleep with more than one person never calling one a spouce. If both parties stay comitted to the other and eventaully get married What Sin have they comitted?

But if we (till death do us part) stay comitted to each other, where is the sin..... in the Bible? And please don't take me wrong I'm not belittleing the Word I'm trying to show facts. The question of how they became husband and wife in the Bible hasn't been addressed. Where there liscenes in the Bible? No (They TOOK them as their wives.)

Actually, adultery is the act of having intimate relations with someone other than your spouse. Adultery falls into the category of fornication, which is sexual immorality.

If you're going to "eventually get married" why don't you just wait because that's not guaranteed.

Here's some scripture for you JSYK:

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;

Matthew 5:28
But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart

Ephesians 5:5
For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

Hebrews 13:4
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

1 Corinthians 7:2
But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

Colossians 3:5
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

1 Thessalonians 4:3
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality;

Ephesians 5:3
But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints.

I was baptised on Feb 7,2010. It gave me a change of heart about sin. I no longer think its ok to have sex before marriage . I dont care if your getting married.it's still wrong. The Bible says so.Don't be compromising the word of God so you can do whatever you want.

Very true. It's sad that many people like to forget, or 'redefine' things in the bible in their own minds so that they can do whatever they want.

OK once again everyone take a breath.........I am NOT redefineing what I've NOT been shown......
I hear each of your convictions and comments but no one has yet to show me where in the bible it says
that making love (not your immoral act of sex) is wrong. And yet has anyone shown where the marriages where licsened in the bible. You say sex before marriage, I say the act of making love is the marriage during the Life of Christ. Am I'm wrong? Show me!

Oh, I was not speaking directly of you...I was saying it more in general.

To this one, this is what I think of...
Now, being seen as married in this country you have to be legally married... so then this comes to mind.

1 Peter 2:13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, (14) or to governors...

So thats an 'authoritative regulation, decree, or law' to be "married" in most countries.

Thoughts?

they already had this, but I can't find it...I say no. The bible is very clear on the subject.
i do agree.but honestly i wasn't that strong in faith when i gave up mine.thanks GOD,i repent and regret.i strongly agreed no sex before marriage..

I love JESUS CHRIST because HIS love is UNCONDITIONAL

I've been down this unfortunate road. If I had it to do differently, I would. I won't agree that having sex before marriage ruined the relationship that I had with that person. But, it definitely caused undue stress in the relationship and a lot of the time it did seem like the only reason we were still together was for sex.

I don't understand us teens and young adults these days. I'm becoming very afraid of a society where we can't even walk out out front door without being confronted with sex or sexual situations. I truly hope that I am able to instill the values in my children that I was too stubborn to pick up while at home.

DEFINITELY NO!

its a clear No No,
am sorry for the 15.60% of ppl that answered yes,
and hopefully God will open their eyes.

Now that's what I'm talkn.......Thank You......It is a marriage only with a Licenses from our Goverment. Therefore it's only a devorice with the signed Devorice papers from our Goverment.

So NOW, should we date or pursue a relationship prior to the devoricement being legal?

The bible is NOT the word of god.

I would say no based on the fact that you are still married.

Besides, I wouldn't think you would be emotionally ready for another relationship type commitment quite yet. It would be something God would have to heal in your heart before I would think people would consider getting back into a relationship.
God, far more effective then a rebound relationship...

If a person comes to know the Lord for the first time and they have lived in the world then there will be those people who have had sex before marriage. God can do restoration in a person's life and restore them. Then you have those who may stumble and they have been a Christian and God can do like wise for that person as well. Then you have people who are either from the world or the church world that have been divorced. Should it really matter whether or not the person is a virgin or not prior to coming to Christ?

If you can find a copy of her first book called "Hang on to your Hormones" I really recommend it. I think it would be interesting to pick up her new book. This lady truly ministered to me and she has a very interesting testimony, as she witnessed to by a teenager and she came to the Lord because a teen got her to question God's existence. She then came to the Lord and joined a youth group who ministered to her then she in turn has been ministering to teens. I found her advice and Godly counsel to be very thought provoking. :)

I would have to agree, that would be a big NO. There is a many significant reasons that God has said we are to save ourselves for marriage. We, as a society, continue to prove why this is so important from the diseases that continue to spread, unwanted pregnacies, to the failure of a relationship once the bridge has been... crossed so to speak.

It would seem to me that women are the main proponents of waiting, mainly because of the "milk without buying the cow" issue.

In my experience, women who will danlge the carrot of sexual relations as a means of coercing marriage, will later withhold sex for other reasons during the marriage.

I've yet to hear someone define abstainance in such a way... Ok everyone forget about saving it for marriage to please God as you may very well be accused of withholding & dangling the carrot to coerce marriage... Sorry but I truly am laughing so hard I'm crying... The coercing of marriage that truly is funny & then there the poor guy is stuck with that old cow ROFL!!! (btw I'm that old cow! lol).
