Can you explean explain to us how much sin is too much sin. What is the cut where I stop just making mistakes and where my sin actually turns to rebellion?

This would be a must if one is to answer your question.

Your right, and not everyone who turns and says they follow jesus is saved. It takes more than turning and following. It takes true faith.

That does not mean everyone who is saved will turn into Paul or Peter.. There will be many babes in christ in heaven..

Where as there will also be many people who look like christians, act like christians, talk like christians who appear morally upright who have never been known by God, and will not see heaven.
This is why Jesus warns us of rebellious behavior. He doesn't give us a number but tells us to be cautious. One act of laziness could lead to being out of church for a month, then ten years, then your living for self and of world.
It's not hard to see what these scriptures mean.
Why teach us how to live if you say a genuine Christian would already know or be lead against their will to live as Christ. Why teach us then if we can willingly sin and still get into Heaven. Willingly sinning is spitting on the sacrifice Jesus made.

Ananias, with his wife Sapphira
I sometimes thought, this is a bit harsh. They were just playing a social game
of appearing better than they should be. Surely God does not mind.

Imagine if God decided to do this with His promises. Well, maybe if you are this,
or say that, or maybe it is just an exaguration, you are actually all doomed.
I was just playing with you, sin is not that important, it is the risk takers I like,
the high rollers, the liars and posers, they really know how to make it rock.

But you should realise, yes, every word matters, everything He lays down, everything
is consistent, from the most important to the smallest degree. So cause offence and you die,
play games with the King and He will play a game with you, you will never live to regret it.

This is not a world of take backs, He is the King.
Israel doubted they could take the land, dishonoured the Lord and died in the desert.

He gives everyone so much warning, He is so gracious, but it comes to an end, and it
is final. But it is up to you to listen and hear. The rest is a final simple result.

So as far as I can tell we have:

1. Who is the Father?
2. What was the inheritance that the Father gave to his sons?
3. What did the younger son get upon returning?
4. What does the older son get?
5. Was the Father angry at the son who wandered away?

I am sure there are more but I do wonder how everyone would answer those questions and why.

I see what your trying to say, but Jonahs world was really no different than our world. We still can not run away from God if we are true children, as the psalmist says, where can I go. where ever I go there you are..

King david comes to mind,

He was called a man after Gods own heart. Lived a life pleasing to God. spent most f his life praising God. then saw a woman, Called her to his palace, Basically raped her (no one can refuse the king nor would they) and even if it was nor rape. it was still sexual sin. When she got pregnant, He tried to lie about it, force her husband to go against his moral standard. When he refused, David had him killed. Then took the mans wife as his own.

Not to say your cousin or cousin are saved, or not..

Just saying unless you are sinless. You have no right to cast the stone of judgment on the adulterer.. Because you are just as guilty, as am I..
If your saying I am judging that would be wrong. I am telling you from a biblical standpoint what doesn't match the words of God. After all speaking truth is telling someone the truth, which to many feel as judgement. Which it is but not of man but from the word of God. The word of God speaks very grim on all who follows him but turns away.

so, according to you, the drunk, the drug addict, the liar, the thief, etc..... cannot come to Christ because they do not have clean hearts. wow. peter hits a new non-sense low everyday.
If you want to see God you need Christ to make you clean. I am puzzled you did not know this.
Something is faulty in your sight I think.

Yes, We are warned.

We are warned our life will be worse than the nonbeliever, We will be chastened as children, We will lose blessing, we will lose eternal reward.

we are not warned we will lose salvation. I did not pay for my salvation, Jesus did, If he gave me his gift of eternal life. Then my debt was paid..

4. What does the older son get? - All the inheritence in the land he was owed
5. Was the Father angry at the son who wandered away? - The Father was sad and distraught at the son.

You will not be chastened, You will not be convicted, You will not be chased after by God, You will not be held onto God.. You will leave, and act as the world.. and no one will know you were even a church follower. And you will DENY jesus (I never denied him when I was away from the church for 5 years)

Hebrews 10:26-31New International Version (NIV)

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[a] and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” 31 It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This is hyper-legalism, defining a sin by a self invented extreme position to end up
in total self condemnation. It is so extreme and self condemning there would never
be a possibility in all eternity to walk righteously, or as Christ walked.
By this criteria even Christ would have sinned we asking for something for Himself,
like the donkey to ride into Jerusalem on. It was only for himself and told the disciple
to say it was for the Lord.

Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

I am divorced, I am remarried.. Am I hellbound? What makes you be more worthy than me for eternal life?
Divorce is only allowed under certain conditions namely adultery / unfaithfulness. If you didn't divorce according to the exceptions that allows divorce you are living in adultery with the person you are remarried to

God remains and holds on to the ones who have faith and hold onto him. Your saying God keeps a believer from falling away like we then become puppets.

I may get banned for this but here I go- a 20-something year old women got baptized at my church this past sunday. part of here testimony was coming from a divorced home, and growing up not feeling worthy of her dad's love. as she got older, she began to feel the same about God. only when coming to my church and hearing about the love of God, and that she could bring her issues to him, she came to faith in Christ.

now, what if she would heard some of your junk. or Stephen, the mighty Pentecostal ( junk ) hell fire and brimstone thrower. or anyone else who says or implies that one has to be something or do something in order to make God accept them?? what would that have to her, already struggling with a un-worthiness issue. what would that have done.?? do you want answer to God about turning someone away from his Son??

words matter. people matter. your high and might self-righteous lies you tell yourself daily are less than worthless. repent and apologize to all the ones you may have turned away with your careless bragging.

Your saying a person would want to walk away who went from the world, came to faith, and was loved by God with a love no human can give them, (I disagree)

And your also saying God saved a person who knew would walk away (he is not omniscient)

both are troubling.

I like this write up for it doesn't mention places that can't be proven in scripture as this place or that place like the northern hemisphere or the USA or anything like that. IMO even though this might seem like a small detail it's not and I'll say this what you mentioned before may take place in those areas I'm not saying your wrong for you may be right. But if it doesn't come to pass and it's not in those areas like the Western Hemisphere etc.. Then the responsibility for teaching others that info is on your shoulders. That's My opinion and certainly every person can have a opinion.
If discern with His help what the people of Babylon are known for; making a name for themselves which is why divided them by foreign languages, then you may discern the "daughter" of Babylon under USA's banner of "We the people.."

Mystery Babylon is another type of Babylon as some would contend that it is the RCC aka the Vatican as it sits on seven hills and is ecumenical in its world wide campaign to unite all the religions of the world into a fellowship of one mind.

Babylon USA can be described as seen in Revelation 18th chapter as being the center of trade for the world as it contends with China for "cheating" due to trade agreements.

When you look at the globe, the entire western hemisphere is one third of the earth. It is not a coincidence.

It stands to reason that the center of trade and commerce which is USA is a part of that third of the earth that gets burned up.

Granted, only the Lord can help us discern and see how those prophetic verses are being applied to a soon to be future event as you may see all the set ups aiming for it to fall into place after the pre tribulational rapture event.

[SUP]39 [/SUP]But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

if one wants to look at a passage, they have to look at the whole

If can be used many ways,

if, and we will

If but we would not

If but we can not

If, maybe we will, maybe we will not.

You have to take the whole passage to determine context to see which if is being used.

so then I am going to hell?

Why did you not answer my question? Will I go to hell because I am divorced and remarried, It does not matter the reason does it? Or am I no longer under grace but under law?
