Interesting. There must be techniques to stay safe?

there is equipment to stay safe.. like fencing gear, but heavier duty, because longswords deliver a lot stronger blows than epees. the feders we use are made to flex a bit too, to make thrusting safer, unlike wooden rods, which, padded or not, can seriously injure a person f you poke them.

and techniques, too, yes. to parry & dodge. those are interestingly the harder things to learn - in my club, and at tournaments i've seen, more often than not an exchange ends in both persons being struck. much like heated BDF threads - both people involved end up taking a blow.

Laish is right too of course - i still get bruised and scraped, even though we pull blows and don't fight at full force or speed, and that's part of the fun of it -- also ((i hope)) what encourages me to learn to block and guard better.

Hahaha! At first as I was glazing through my feed I thought you said your favorite hobby was blood :p

Then I had to rethink through it and said this just couldn't be right because that didnt sound like our sweet Ellie was half vampire :)

I enjoy playing with kids too....especially my little nephew who cries and cries if I set him down to do something else and is all giggling once I pick him up again. Ya know Ellie we should run a daycare in heaven so we can play games with kids all day and all night :)

when we are old enough to discern 'child's-play' in our lives, then we will begin to grow
and learn wisdom as an adult...so many new things to learn as we grow, it is truly amazing!
