1. Doctors cannot know everything... they can only know whatever the medical schools choose to teach in their curriculum.
E.g. most general practioners don't even know that much about nutrition, that's why we have "nutritionists."
2. Doctors are going to absorb any medical bias, correct or incorrect, which is held by the medical schools.
If there is any bias in medical schools, for or against certain things, the doctors are going to receive that bias.
If may be correct bias, or it may be incorrect bias.
3. The medical profession, like all professions, has MONETARY REASONS to promote ONLY IT'S OWN LICENSED PRACTITIONERS, and ONLY IT'S OWN PREFERRED METHODS.
All professions do this.
All professions have always done this.
4. Doctors with good intentions are OFTEN DECEIVED by the pharmaceutical companies... and this is verified in the CONGRESSIONAL RECORD of the UNITED STATES.
This is proven and verified.
The big pharmaceutical companies put false information into the medical journals.
They've been caught, over and over.
5. The FDA does not always do the right thing... they often succumb to powerful lobbying groups... and they push forward bad medicine, or hold back good medicine.
This has all been documented.
It happens all the time.
There have been many many instances of dangerous medicines pushed through the FDA by lobbying groups presenting false information about the drugs.
Happens all the time.
6. Alternative medicine is often bogus... some of it is good, and some of it is crap... it isn't all good or bad.
Sometimes the medical establishment really DOES protect the public from BAD alternative medicine.
However, sometimes through lack of information, or through bias, the medical establishment prevents the acceptance or use of powerful and simple medicines.
* I can give REAL EXAMPLES of simple natural medicines which are used BY LICENSED DOCTORS ALL OVER THE WORLD... but which are illegal in the U.S.
* Sometimes the Pharmaceutical companies just lobbying to keep things out which they don't control.
7. I think most licensed doctors have only the best intentions... but they only know what they are taught, and even the medical journals have been proven, in congress, to often contain false information.
- Medical Doctors probably do have the best intentions for their patients... but they do not create or control the information they are fed by the resources they most trust.
- Their minds are filled with brilliant and life saving knowledge... and it's mixed with a bit of rubbish here and there also.
* This could go on and on forever, it's an endless subject.
* I personally think EACH INDIVIDUAL is responsible for his own health, and should be studious, investigative, and skeptical, regarding ALL treatments prescribed by ANYONE.
