Not so the wicked! They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
Psalm 1:4-5

His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matt 3:12

Truth is simple. If we stay without Christ is our hearts we are chaff, ready to
be burnt up. While we have ears to hear and minds to understand Gods love
there is hope.

Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to words of knowledge.
Prov 23:12

Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.
Luke 2:14

You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15
Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.
Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16
In the same way, let your light shine before others,
that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matt 5:14-16

We in Christ are the light of the world, the glory of what God can create in man.
And what is this work?

Love pouring out to others in good works.

Now I saw this in my granny when I was a kid and it changed my life.
Of all the people I knew, she shone, and I loved her dearly.

When you see the miracle of Gods word bringing love and life into a
heart shown through their love to others, it is a glorious sight.

When emotion powers ones actions

Hatred is a bitter thing. Everything that the person brings becomes evil and
must be opposed no matter the content. Each sentence analysed and some
weakness displayed no matter how small so everyone else will see the deep
work of evil and deception they really are.

Jesus's answer is this

Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
1 cor 4:5

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 cor 13:6-7

You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.
Rom 14:10

We get to heaven because we are Holy.

Think about this. We are sinners lost in sin, doomed to destruction.
We hear the gospel, we come to faith, we repent of our sins, confess and put our
faith in Christ and the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

We are washed clean, made Holy, pure, a dwelling place for the Holy Spirit to dwell in.

We have passed from death to life, a new creation, a member of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Some would say, no we are not clean or purified or Holy, we are still sinners but God
looks at us through Christs righteousness alone, so he sees us as Christ though we are
not.

So which is true? Does God do a real work in our hearts or is it just a fake surface
with an imagined salvation, and that is good enough for God?

Now my experience is Christ washed me clean, though I do stumble along the way
I am counted righteous through my faith and not my walk. And each stumble, I repent
confess and get myself right and carry on along the path.

Now this is theology and the walk put together. But the hub or power is the love we
share in Christ at work in our hearts overflowing to others.

And I would hope, though I am sure I fail in many areas to show this love and desire
for Christ and attract others to our glorious Lord and saviour.

And it is curious, if I said I was a terrible sinner still steeped in sin, would this make the
sharing better, or I rejoice in Christ and His love each day, Amen.

so which is it peter.

Are you HOLY because GOD MADE YOU HOLY (it is his righteousness)

or are you HOLY because of how good you are?

it is Gods righteousness or your righteousness which gets you to heaven?

and finally, If we are holy because GOD made us holy, How could we ever become UNHOLY again? Does God fail?

This offends me. ;) I like on alot of Utah's posts. And I'm NOT one of his so-called, non-existent cronies.. lol.. You say people can see who Utah is? Maybe so, but they also see how you are.. At least Utah can admit that he sins. Can you?
Please get your facts straight.....I didn't say anything about Utah.

BTW, I admit, confess, & repent of sin..... two strikes in one post.

You not only don't know who I'm talking to, you don't know me, either.

How easy to see who's who in the BDF. Just watch their attitudes.

How they cannot quit till they have the last word, as if that proves anything.

How they have to lie on the one they're slamming to make themselves the righteous one.

Or they try to lead you down a rabbit hole to pull you off topic.

Or they twist what you say to destroy the truth & good things you say.

Pharisees? Afraid so. Just match them up in The Book.

My, aren't you such a wonderful individual?

You tell everybody on here who we are, and what we are, & yet you still talk to all of us after that.

Boy, aren't we priviledged.....:rolleyes::p

My sincere apologies.. I went back and looked, and it was Dcon whom you were speaking of. :) And I never said that you DON'T admit, confess and repent your sins. I ASKED if you could say that you do. What I said about Utah holds true for Dcon also. I've seen him quite often confess that he sins and repents of it.. Calm down. :)

There is no shame or sense of proportion to the man. He is more like a distraction tank
with two subjects on his list, condemnation and criticism. He truly feels his mission is to
confront though I am becoming more persuaded hatred and destruction are his real agenda.

I wonder if we can spot any two traits, encouragement and sense of proportion.
I just get thorns and thistles. And if you engage, it is literally pages of diatribe and
distraction, totally pointless and without respect.

The whole crowd are intent only on bringing condemnation on people, because their
view is their opponents, whoever the poor mug is, is an unconfessed unrepentant hypocrite
who needs to accept Christ and everything will be turned into sin / salvation / faith talk
at all costs, with total derogatory remarks designed to provoke and antagonise, at which
point they will claim one hates them, and how sinful one is. Not the gospel presentation
and evangelism steps I am used to.

A good one I learnt recently was two worlds, without God in sin and alone, with God with
communion and direction and the bridge, with Christ, forgiveness and redemption.

Tried the first two steps, and interestingly was told evil people are not like chaff, except
that is exactly what Psalm one says they are and we were. So you have to wonder at
what these guys are following the what they really know inside, because it is not my
experience or faith over 40 years. Aimless spirits wondering in the desert to see who
they might ambush next is closer to the truth.

So peter.

Are you going to continue to shamelessly attack people you disagree with r answer the question.

Do we get to heaven because we are holy based on what we do. or on the fact God makes us Holy?

You can attack me all you want, it will not stop me from asking questions to expose who you really are.

I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One in Israel.
