LOL oh my, where to begin? You seem to be against borders altogether, and I must say that your naive idealism is a recipe for complete disaster. Thank God there are people working to keep your country safe. Do you know that as we speak, the UN is working to take away your rights to free speech? Better look out. While they are chipping away at your hard won freedoms, all of Mexico comprises very close to one half of your country's adult population. That's a lot of growth in one fell swoop. Not very practical on any front.

Check out what is brewing.

I don't think most Americans are against immigration. But why is it that Democrats almost ALL seem to be against doing a better job of vetting those wanting to come here? That is the HUGE thing I totally can't understand.
Maybe all democrats are not against better vetting,

Maybe it is just some people, saying, that they all are.

Most politician are voted into office.

It's the voters fault, if they keep electing the same people.

Washington changes every 2 years.

They aren't the same people as 10 years ago, or even 6 mos. ago.

Does that make a difference to you?
My friend, the swamp is a lot more than the politicians. I believe that the federal work force (excluding postal and military) exceeds 2.1 million people. Over 20 percent of those employees are in the DC metropolitan area. The OPM doesn't know how many Contractors directly support the federal office management in the DC area, nor can they provide an accurate count of lobbyist in the area. This is the swamp that Donald Trump wants to drain. I spent five years working there, and I can say this without reservation, over the next eight years, that swamp size could be reduced by 50%, and not negatively impact the function of the government.

But more likely it will increase by 100% over the next years. The swamp is obdurate and don't go easy on people trying to drain it.

I have yet to personally meet one, and talk with them enough to find out, that wasn't against anything more than the cursory check they now get.

Those democrats vowing to thumb their noses at anything he tries to do are probably trying to pay back republicans for not even checking out the supreme court Judge that Obama chose,IMO.I digress.

Seriously, what did all those promises that Trump make about the wall get him?
First of all, I suggest you check out the American Center for Law and Justice since those are the ones who know that when the Senate did not approve of Merrick Garland, they were not doing anything wrong. If I was president and a judge died, the next president would fill the slot especially if it happened in the last year of my term. I still do not understand the beef about that. Why are you so antagonistic towards Trump? I am trying to give him a chance and you are just beating him up, would you have done the same thing when Obama was president? I did not, I tried to give him a chance but when he kept on going against Christians, supporting homosexual agenda, etc. I knew he was not good, so glad I did not vote for him. Thanks. God bless. :)

How would they be criminals if there were open borders?
First of all, why do you support open borders? Would you support someone having their doors unlocked as well? A long time ago, you could do that not now. Also, we will have open borders when there is a new heaven and new earth, that does not work because of people's sinful nature at the moment. Even God does vetting, those on one side are allowed to enter heaven those of the other side, hell is their domain. Even God had borders for his people that were not open. So I do not think that God would support open borders. Also what is wrong with a wall? It is not racist, sexist, etc. It is meant to protect. Hadrian had a wall, China has a Great Wall, Israel has a wall, Mexico has a wall at the border with Guatemala due to the illegal immigration from that place (hence the hypocrisy in Mexico's stance against the U.S. having a fully functional, border wall). The only wall that was wrong that I know of was the Berlin Wall. Here are the borders of Israel in the future.

Exodus 23:31

“I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River.

Thanks. God bless and God bless America! :)

Hmmmm, you might try to get out of the house a little bit more.

Wasn't the program that G Bush put in place after 9/11 enough?

Obama made it better.

But now suddenly Trump says it's no good and you automatically believe him?

Yes, what you say is true.

What do you have against Mexicans?

Nothing?

Then why would you want to prevent them from entering the USA, (Canada)?

Why do you think I am against them entering your country? If they are willing to do it legally and be processed like they are supposed to, then there is no problem. The wall is not being built to keep those people out and you know it, so your question is a little disingenuous, I think.

I think that most Mexicans are good people.

Some aren't, but some Americans aren't either.

----

Shall we let the fear, cancel our freedoms?

Freedom to travel, freedom to speak?

This is the object of the terrorists, to bring fear, and to end freedom.

----

Freedom is not just an American dream, a Canadian dream.

It is the dream of many that have lived throughout time and nations.

I would love to live in Canada, or Mexico, travel freely from nation to nation.

But the powers of fear and hate have taken hold in our world, to the point that we now fear our neighbors, this is wrong.

The evil of fear and mistrust is being used by those in power to take these freedoms away.

I say tear down that wall, better yet, don't build it.

None of your family has been killed by terrorists... yet... have they? Do you think the thousands of family members who have lost loved ones to their attacks feel the vetting presently in place (since they keep getting in) is sufficient?

There is a reason Trump says it's not good enough. And that reason is that he sees what still continues to happen all around us, even after 911.

Do you deny it continues to happen?.... and that many times, the person or persons they track down and arrest or kill turn out to have snuck into this country, illegally, just to do the act? ....... sometimes after already having been deported possibly multiple times for past crimes.

no

Do you think the thousands of family members who have lost loved ones to their attacks feel the vetting presently in place (since they keep getting in) is sufficient?
I don't have that information from all of them, do you?

There is a reason Trump says it's not good enough. And that reason is that he sees what still continues to happen all around us, even after 911.
He was critical in the campaign of things that he literally knew nothing about, immigration vetting was one of those things. He just wants to ban certain religions under the disguise of vetting. I trusted G Bush, and Obama, to do the right thing, I hope Trump does too.

But think of how much his "ideas" about things have changed since he has taken office, it's easy to call the play from the stands, or Monday morning, but now he is seeing things differently.

Who knew health care was so complicated.

Not Mr Trump, he's learning the hard way now.

He recently said something like, I didn't think that it would be this hard.

deny it continues to happen?...
.

no

and that many times, the person or persons they track down and arrest or kill turn out to have snuck into this country, illegally, just to do the act?
And what about the loonies from Colorado, or Florida, recently?

They don't have to be immigrants, we've got crazies of our own.

Shall we vet people from Colorado when they travel the US? Make them get passports?

Should we make people from Florida get tested for being radical when they leave the state?

....... sometimes after already having been deported possibly multiple times for past crimes.
Sadly this is true.

And the people who have not committed crimes? Mothers and Fathers, children, kick them out too?

No, No, have mercy on the souls of men and women.

There are other ways, better ways.

America must lift up and lead to make a better world.

It would start by making other nation's situations better.

If things were better there, why would they come here.

If things were better there, we would travel there.

Willie-T,

Remember years ago when people went to Mexico for a good time and came back, and said that it was great?

Remember when 1,000's of workers crossed into the states to help with the food crops? 1950's-60's? (they still do)

Honest, trustworthy, hard working people, they still are.
-
It's the enemies of peace, love, trust, and the gospel of Jesus that have done this,

Evil spirits of fear and hate that have caused this division.

Confusion, lies, and sorrow are his weapons.

All designed to tear us apart.

The gospel of Jesus' love, brings us together.

I believe that this is a test of the faith of our nation.

Will we overcome our enemies with the love of Jesus? Or be overcome by the preachers of hate and fear?

It isn't the '50's anymore. Nor the '60's.
It's 2017 and ISIS and gangs are at war with us they want our country and our young people and they are exploiting our weakest points: boarder and immigration.
That is the reality.

Can we undo, what has been done?

Can we as Christians stop this spiral into darkness?

Do we have the love to do it?

Jesus Help us.

Can we change the world?

My friend, I'm sorry that you have to live in this world, polluted from the greed of men and money.

We could have made it better for you, many tried and did great things, but the powers of hate and fear and lies are powerful, and loud.

There is confusion, murder and injustice, and fear.

There were many who said love was the way, but others, brutes and bullies, hated the ways of love.

Money is there god. Power. Fame. Seeking to be praised by men and women. selfish. ego.

--

Love,

That is the greatest power of all, the gospel of the love of Jesus.

It is more powerful than the greatest weapon of men, it has the power to save the soul.

The saving love of Jesus can change the hearts and minds of men.

We cannot change the world, but the power of the gospel can.

My friend, for a little while, there was a peace.

It still can be found, there is still hope.

But the light must shine, love must show the way.

There is no other path for us.
--

If we had power, what would be the most loving things, that we could do?

For Mexico? Canada? ..........Syria.......China........South Sudan?.....the world?

Show them the way, the truth, and the life.

I sure wish Jesus had known all that was required was for Him to simply come down here, hold up His fingers in a Peace Sign, and smile. It would have saved Him from dying at the hands of a mob of terrorists.

I know many of us want to sound all Holy and Biblical, but reality is reality. Even the depiction of the city of New Jerusalem still comes complete with walls and gates..... Why?

Lesse..... Just targeting young high school girls for rape, and college students for murder doesn't count, right?
